  1. first off all, this is not a debate about the quality of these movies, from a storyline perspective. This is just about the art style and nothing more.

I must say, that i miss hand drawn animation movies in modern cinema. While i don't particulary hate it, i must say that after 20 years, since Toy Story came around, i long for something different again, because these days, CG Animation is everywhere and it gets put out in Cinemas like Hamburgers at Mcdonalds.

It's also something that Don Bluth mentioned in his interview with the Nostalgia Critic (Link to it below) The Animators want to make these characters look more humanlike and more realistic. In that case, why not get an actor? Seriously, the fantasy is being completly killed. CG Characters look like Puppets to me, while hand drawn characters are so full of life, which you can see from their faces. I think hand drawn movies like Pinocchio are impossible to make with CG.

What do you think of it? Is there some truth to it, or is it just me?

(Here is the link. The part i mentioned starts immediatly and goes for 3 minutes)

  2. I once made a thread about Traditional TV getting pushed more and more into the background, with cable providers like AT&T having the unsubbing customers in one year ever and with the rise of Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime, with most likely more streaming services to come.

I think it should be wise to slowly go into that direction, because there is not enough to gain anymore for TV.

  3. Oh, I've recently become aware of that through a video on WhatCulture's Youtube channel it sounded awful.

It is. Half of it was an outside brawl and the other one was bad wrestling, with the boss man looking weak as hell. He never recovered from it and his Main Event spot was gone.

  4.

I'm most excited to play this:

    • Big Boss Man (with Albert) vs. Big Show (Armageddon 1999) :D ...I'm joking, obviously.  :smug:

This match is such a dissapointment, considering that the buildup wasn't half bad.

But The Big Show couldn't go the length of a championship PPV match at that time.

Truly, one of the worst championship matches, on a WWE PPV.

  5. Despite even Arquette himself bashing it, no less.

Well Davy atleast takes it with some humor. :P

    i will say this though.

Yes, i can see Pro Wrestlings popularity in the US dying down more and more, in the next 10 years,

But i can see it still see it booming, in England, Mexico and Japan, where Prowrestling is treated like a respected sport, especially Japan and Mexico fill out big arenas with Prowrestling

  6. Been awhile since i posted last time. :P

I know the Cruiserweight classic ended last week, but can i say again what a fantastic tournament this was and following it throughout the summer?

The whole tournament had nothing but great PRO WRESTLING. No sports entertainment, all different kinds of styles with the who is who of the wrestling world. Guys like Zack Sabre Jr, Kota Ibushi, Johnny Gargano, T.J Perkins, Mascara Dorada (or Gran Metalik) etc.

Yet the wwe traditionalists will come on and bad mouth all over it....."vanilla midget, smark, no promo skills, vanilla vanilla, midgets and smarks.." just cause there was nothing but really good pro wrestling. You see, this is a quality product where on raw the first 20 minutes are Stephanie McMahon talking to mick foley about her family drama.

The cruiserweight classic was very good but not as good as the G1 climax. The Alexander-Ibushi match may be match of the year in wwe, but not worldwide. Best match overall is either Okada vs Tanahashi at Wrestlekingdom or the 6 man tag from PWG BOLA this year from night 2 between Matt Sydal, Ricochet and Will Ospreay vs The Young Bucks and Adam Cole bay bay!

Also, would Vince Russo stop being so pretentious? He says guys like Finn Balor kills the wrestling business, while he gloats till this day, that putting the WCW title on David Arquette was so ingenious. Go back to your freaking video store.

  7. It's not dying. It's just slowly transforming into high-interactive smart-TV. Now it's normal to watch Netflix or Youtube right on TV in your living room.

    I would say it's evolution!

That's why i said "Traditional-TV" in the sense that we don't watch TV Shows by a schedule.

I am not expecting that people will now throw their flatscreen TVs out of the window now. :P

  8. they can't deny canonicity of something outside the and still use it in the show. Example- the book "pinkie pie's rocking partypalooza" was referenced as one of Pinkie's events in the episode with Coloratura. Sooooo.....

Why can't they deny that? Maybe some of them never even read any of the books.

Fact is, the show and the writers are the end all be all, of the pony universe. Everything else is secondary, because i don't need to watch/read them, to understand the show.

  9. I say GOOD. TV was one of the many tools that the media abused to misinform the public. The internet is more free form and harder to control.

Not to make this into a political discussion here, but i also agree with that. I get most of my information out of the internet from indenpendant sources and it makes me see the world in a more unbias way, then i maybe had 10 years ago.

  10. https://www.inverse.com/article/15741-cable-and-satellite-tv-are-dying-at-t-suffers-largest-pay-tv-subscriber-drop-in-history

    http://www.fool.com/investing/2016/08/13/its-official-the-tv-industry-is-dying.aspx

You know, it's getting more and more apparent to me. I haven't been a regular TV Watcher for a few years now, besides the occasional must watch stuff and it seems like as the years go by, more and more people are doing the same thing, especially the younger generation of us.

It makes absolutely no more sense for me, to actually watch TV anymore, considering the Internet is providing me with more entertainment, then i can actually handle. People don't want their programs to be decided anymore. They can do their own program, with streaming services like Netflix and Hulu and if Movie and TV Producers are smart, they should jump ship as soon as possible. There isn't much to get anymore on TV.

What is your take on this? Still watching TV? Are you not? Do you care?

  11. Got some news on a more serious note.

Former NWA and ECW Champion Terry Funk apparently faces some serious health issues. He was scheduled to be in Tommy Dreamers corner last night, at an ECW reunion show in Phily, but due to him feeling dizzy, he went home immediatly, after giving one more promo.

    Here is the vid:

Hope Terry gets better. Met him back in 2005. Incredibly nice guy. Got an autograph from him. :)

  12. Too bad I DON'T have (or want) it.

The Network is not really something for everybody. I for one love it, since you not only can watch all raws and smackdowns on it. You can also watch WWE, WCW and ECW PPVs on it and some old shows from the territory days, like from mid south or mid atlantic.

And 9.99 is not really much for me. :P

  13.

    1. I could see Matt bringing his "Broken" gimmick to WWE maybe a feud with Bray Wyatt,

Jeff could be a good fit in the Cruiserweight Division.

    2. Bobby Lashly, I'll pass.

    3. What's a "Moose"?

    4. Storm could feud with Roode (Hey, that rhymed.) or they could reform "Beer Money" with a different name, obviously.

Jeff is too over, to be just in the cruiserweight division

    that's moose:

Very talented guy, if i do say so myself.

Beer Money right now, is not an option for me. Roode right now, is just too much over with his Glorious gimmick and it's rumored that he faces Nakamura, after Nakamuras rematch with Samoa Joe.

  14. Like who? besides Styles, Joe and Roode, I mean.

I haven't watched TNA since Christian left.

Guys like the hardys for example. Maybe for one last match.

Or guys like Moose, Bobby Lashley (if he wants) and James Storm. Especially Storm, maybe he can do a little feud with Roode. :P
