  1. I wholeheartedly agree with you on that one. Just because the ratings were at all time highs for Raw doesn't necessarily mean that the actual in ring quality of the shows were great. I find the Attitude Era very flawed as well. I could list several reasons.

I also find the Monday Night Wars in general to have some negative aspects. Once you really think about it, the Monday Night War had some real life casualties. Lives and careers ruined for the sake of beating the competition. Once it's all set and done and the war ended you have to ask yourself if the Monday Night War was really worth it.

Well, i think the absolute best year of the Attitude Era was the year 2000, which is my favorite WWE year. Many where worried at that time, because Austin wasn't there most of the year, but The Rock and Triple H had an absolute great rivalry, with great matches, Benoit, Guerrero, Saturn and Malenko made their debuts, Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho where up and coming great talent and the tag team devision with the hardys, the dudleys and edge and christian where almost as important, as the main event scene.

While 98 and 99 where very fun, it sometimes lacked some things in the ring and relied more on the Steve Austin vs Vince Mcmahon Rivalry. It was great fun and made for great television. But the variety was missing a bit. Which was there in the year 2000.

  2. Okay how about some unpopular opinions of mine:

    - Brock Lesnar is not entertaining anymore and should be fired.

    - WCWs best year wasn't 1997. It was 1993.

    - Wrestlemania 3 is one of the most overrated PPVs ever. Eventhough Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy Savage was very good.

-The Attitude Era was not perfect as everybody likes to believe

-The Ladder Match between Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels from Summerslam 1995, was better then the one from Wrestlemania X

-TNA, New Japan, Ring of Honor and Lucha Underground, will never be competition to the WWE.

-Hulk Hogan is the most overrated Wrestler in History and is somebody i would never Shake hands with, considering how he is in real life.

-I never understood, why people consider Hiroshi Tanahashi to be the Japanese John Cena

-I cheered, when Finn Balor won the universal title. #Bulletclub4life :P

  3. I said in my first post in this thread that I wanted Styles and Joe to face at some point add in Nakamura and the bright lights of WrestleMania and you've got the makings of a WrestleMania classic IMO.

If I had my druthers, I'd want it to be Samoa Joe.

Well, to be honest, who else does Vince have when it comes to big stars for Wrestlemania?

Everybody knows that Mania is not visited by the usual Raw/Smackdown crowd and they need big matches. This sounds like a big match for me.

  4. I want to see him wrestle Samoa Joe & Nakamura in a triple threat at Wrestlemania. I know that won't happen but, I can dream, right?

Well, if you see the history of all 3 of them, it kinda makes sense. AJ and Joe have some history in TNA, AJ and Shinsuke have some history in New Japan and Joe and Shinsuke have some history in NXT.

And they all always worked good with each other. :)

  5. I really hope AJ Styles has a good long WWE Championship reign and not a 48 hour reign like Christian. :(

WWE would be crazy, to let him lose the title immediatly tommorow. If he keeps the title till the Royal Rumble, i am happy.

Because to be quite frank, i would like to see Styles, wrestle Nakamura at Wrestlemania. :P

  6. Just found something interesting on Youtube. New Japan Pro Wrestling from Feburary 1982

A very young Bret Hart, who just came fresh out of Stampede Wrestling, battling the back then current WWF Junior Heavyweight Champion, the original Tiger Mask.

  7. He was never ROH world champ. The only titles he held there were the inaugural Pure Wrestling championship and the world tag championship w/ Amazing Red. Last title shot he had, he lost to Jay Lethal. As to who else? Technically, Kurt Angle.

Oh damn, you're right. He was pure champ. :P

But as far as i know, he also won the PWG world title. Can be wrong though, since i don't follow them too much.

  8. Yeah, I know that. But, considering we're on an MLP based forum I shouldn't have said that.

Lets not get too far offtopic. I already said, it dosen't bother me. ;)

Besides, i need some sleep anyway. Good night. :P

Why does the Bullet Club do nWo taunts?

They are a bit inspired by it. They are a group of people, that are all around the wrestling world, especially in Japan. AJ became friends with them there and ever since then, he is a member of that group.
