Honestly, not a big fan of RID in general; I get that they're trying to cater to the younger crowd compared to prime since Prime's toysales were pretty bad, but it honestly just seems like a REALLY massive step back in quality.

And yes, russel is HORRIBLE. Actually enjoyed the kids from prime compared to most kids in transformers shows, but russel is just a bit too much; I especially hate how absurdly ridiculous his and his dad's disguises/diversions for the transformers are.

To be honest, I prefer "Grizzled Wolverine style grimlock" compared to "funny comic relief grimlock"

To be honest, I'm the opposite. I actually was really let down by them.

This really shouldn't surprise anyone; I mean, even the people behind it made it blatantly known they were trying to copy the lego movie's success (People at sony stating they were trying to make "their" own lego movie", and whenever anyone goes in with a shallow attempt to copy another product without really understanding WHY that product was successful, its almost always a turd.

The really sad thing is that BOTH Faust's Medusa and Tartovsky's Popeye movie's were killed for this abomination.

Which is why its GOOD instead of bad XD

eh; it wrapped up their arc by having them learn about cooperation and friendship and portraying them as not truly evil at heart, but I wouldn't say it really gave them character dev. The only two with any personality are still Sour sweet and sugar coat.

They also don't really do a heel face turn so much as the plot glosses over their actions with a "They're being evil for the RIGHT reasons, they're not true villains!" thing by trying to say they screwed rarity for the sake of their schoolmates.

Still wondering where Indigo zapp was during the dance magic thing though.

Well, lightning dust was ORIGINALLY going to be used; had toys for her and everything. Not sure why the hell they chose not to though.

I kind of think it has alot to do with the messed up production of Friendship games, since I think the original draft had a bigger focus on the shadowbolts and the mane six/Canterlot becoming friends (hence that orphaned dance magic song), and so they might have wanted to avoid using LD in case they wanted to reuse her for an antagonist or redemption role in a future episode.

Friendship games as a whole is just a massive clusterfuck, there's potential in the ideas they were thinking of (like a nega-mane six for the shadowbolts) and virtually no pay off for any of it due to the ideas they had conflicting and not meshing together (the shadowbolts being completely unsynergistic to the Sunset homesick plot, or the twilight/midnight sparkle plot)

be warned that G gundam is... different from other gundams.

I'm really upset the special wasn't just 100% "sunset returns to equestria" with all that entails given how gold that part was. her being unable to grasp that she had unicorn magic and trying to grab things with her hooves was good too.
