Kronos the Revenant

Oh, well, in the game, there was this thing called an ECHO device, which basically granted planet-wide communications. I was thinking doing something similar, like all the characters have a device on them that just allows for long range broadcasts and my character just kinda comments on them as they go on. And, basically, yeah, that’s kind of a thing I would like to implement to make up for my lack of input.

So, Borderlands 2, main villain is a psychotic egomaniac named Handsome Jack, who is the leader of a weapons manufacturer of the planet Pandora. Handsome Jack is regarded as one of the funniest and most charismatic villains in all of video game history because of his constant funny dialogue and constant berating of the protagonists. also, Borderlands is basically a series of FPS shoot n’ loot games where the loot is money, guns, gear and bullets. Think of the setting of Pandora as a lawless planet full of egomaniacs and psychopaths as well as legendary vaults, some filled with treasure and others filled with aliens capable of destroying cities or worse.

Thanks, I already have a few ideas anyways, but I’ll wait for Samurai’s okay on this.

I just had the funniest idea ever for my character. What if, and hear me out, what if my character was somewhat omnipresent by being able to communicate with the heroes and reformed villains every once in a while like Handsome Jack from Borderlands 2? I would like to try something like that out to make up for my lack of input in the story so far.

I like the Dr Pepper one, but im the guy that just takes a handful of them and inhales them into one mass of jelly belly.

I’m currently thinking about my worthlessness as a person and how insignificant my life is. No matter how hard I work, no matter how many degrees I get, I’ll still make less than 10% of a benchwarmer in a baseball team and that’s bullshit.

@Dynamo Pad @Samurai Equine As he prepared his Mech suit in his chamber, Kronos senses a disturbance. He pulls out a hologram projector which showed the status of all heroes and villains. He noticed Elusive Facts’ icon changed color. “Dammit,” he said to himself “Ahh well, she was weak anyways. I’ll have no problems nor qualms dealing with her soon; nevertheless, I must report this.” He turned off the three generators attached to the back of his Mech, which turned off a deterrence field around the door to the King’s chamber. “Your Majesty,” Kronos greeted with a kneel, “I regret to say your first champion has been converted. I also have some information about the heroes that intend on storming us.” He waited for the Dark King’s reply.

You ask as if I have friends to talk to. However, if I did have any, I usually talk out of my ass and say what’s on my mind. I mean, I do it with my coworkers.

Shadow got a compass? That’s kinda spooky since I was planning on Kronos’ final phase to take place in a dark labyrinth.

So, each boss has three phases, you say? Well then, I guess Kronos’ boss fight will have varying configurations for each phase, each employing different strengths and weaknesses against certain classes. It may seem counter-intuitive to say my abilities here, but it’ll still be kinda hard since, you know, penultimate boss and all. Phase 1: Machine guns and phalanx shield. Physical projectiles blocked from front of face, pivots to change target. Vulnerable to fast and energy attacks. Phase 2: Full-body energy shield and rocket salvos. Must drain energy shield before being able to damage health pool. Shield must recharge before it can deploy again. Rockets target an area marked with a red targeting circle and deal massive amounts of area damage. Rocket salvos take some time to reload. Phase 3: Stealth Mech with Thermal Disintegrators. Able to cloak itself with refraction cloak. Still reveals shadow. Recommend using some form of luminescence to reveal this phase’s location. Can’t attack while cloaked. Thermal Disintegrators deal increased damage over time when focused on the same target, also deals hefty amounts of burn damage. Final ability: Self-Destruct: Whether friend or foe, upon being defeated, Kronos gains the final ability to explode, destroying himself and dealing massive amounts of damage to everyone in the room. Also grants everyone Radiation, a small, persistent DoT effect that can’t be cleansed, but only deals a small amount of damage (0.01% of max HP) per turn. As long as you can keep your health topped off, you should be fine. Otherwise, only very specific and specialized medicine can cure the radiation DoT.

I just thought of something. When the heroes finally meet my character in the boss fight, I was thinking this: They enter a seemingly empty room, when suddenly, they hear in a robotic voice “You shall go no further”. Suddenly, the metal behemoth himself drops from the top of the room, creating a sizable quake, then it freeze frames for a moment and introduces him Borderlands style, saying something like: Kronos, the Cyber Behemoth. ‘...will decimate you all.’
