  1. Uh, hey there everyone, so, I just officially joined the herd today, and I'm quite excited about it! I discovered MLP: FIM on YouTube about a month ago, and since then, I haven't been able to get enough! The show has such great humor, fantastic animation, fun characters, and wonderful lessons about kindness and friendship, I just love it all! But I'm guessing this is how most of you feel about MLP itself, so, let me tell you a couple of things about myself that aren't old news for ya'll. I'm a 20 year old college student at Hillsdale College, currently in the second semester of my junior year, and at the moment I'm interning in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. Capitol Historical Society. It's a lot of fun, especially since I get to do a lot of research at the Library of Congress, which is one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever been in, and just a fantastic place for studying and research (burn with envy Twilight Sparkle, lol!). I'm also, aside being a proud brony, an equally proud self-proclaimed nerd! My particular expertise is in video-gaming, movie critiqueing (I love online critics like the Nostalgia Critic or Spoony, and just critiqueing movies/tv shows in general) and comic-book characters, especially Batman (although, much to my embarassment, I've never actually read any comic-books save for a couple of graphic novels that I found online in this series called "Dreamkeepers," though I hope to remedy that soon). My favorite original video game series is the Halo series, although I'm also a big fan of the Mass Effect and Assassins Creed series as well, and my favorite adapted video-game series is the Batman: Arkham series (speaking of which, anyone who ever frequented the Arkham City forums might know me from there as batcatforever; to this date, that and the MLP forums are the only forums I've ever frequented). I also love singing (I've been a choral musician for years now, though I'm not exactly a soloist, I prefer big choral groups), reading, football (I'm a huge Michigan Wolverines and Green Bay Packers fan) and studying history, politics, and philosophical thought, especially American history and politics. My home is a little corner of paradise in southwestern Michigan, where I'll be beach-bumming it this summer at my job as a park ranger at our local beach. I hope to meet some nice bronies and pegasisters here, and am really happy to finally be here! Feel free to shoot me a message or friend request!
