Others have probably mentioned this, but cartoon shows usually have two different production periods in a single season. If they say that 13 shows are in production at the moment, that's probably the first 13 episodes of season 13, with 12-13 episodes awaiting production for the latter half of season 3. Young Justice has worked the exact same way; in fact, they had an annoyingly long production period between the release of the first half of season 1 and the release of the latter half of season 1, which, hopefully, will not be the case for MLP Season 3.

I think there's something to that theory; I love all of the mane 6, but there's definitely a reason that I love Applejack/Rainbow Dash/ Twilight the most. I'm almost certain that my ideal girl is a combination of different elements of their personalities (smart, hard working, practical, sporty, organized, honest, emphasis on family, etc.).

No, of course not, but the show has shown plenty of times already that Twilight and her friends aren't perfect or anything. They have conflict, they make mistakes, they usually learn lessons from their mistakes and have shown growth as characters. As far as I'm concerned, the show's not too "bubbly" so to speak. Now, if they wanted to do something family-friendly that still was very emotional, I could see one of the mane 6 heading off somewhere away from the whole group (i.e. Rainbow Dash joins the Wonderbolts), although I still doubt that'll happen. We have to keep in mind, no matter how many bronies there are who love this show, and no matter how many fun little jokes/easter eggs there are in the show aimed at older viewers, the demographic that the show is aimed at first and foremost is younger kids, and as such, it most likely won't realistically get too dark or emotional. But ya know, that's alright with me; I watch enough movies/shows and play enough video games that are dark/serious, so it's nice to watch a show that's just so happy and fun and full of energy and life, sort of a breath of fresh air, ya know?

Not trying to beat a dead horse or anything (HA, see what I did there! ), but I have to agree with everyone else, I mean, c'mon man, this is a great kids show, but just because it's high quality doesn't mean it has to get really dark later on like a series like Batman: The Animated Series would! It's just a joyful, fun kids show!!!

I'd probably have Applejack as a roommate; her personalities neither too extreme (i.e. Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash) or too reserved (i.e. Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Fluttershy). She has a nice balance of fun and practicality to her personality that would make her an excellent roommate; plus, she'd probably make all sorts of delicious apple desserts!!! Mmmmm...., apple fritters. And don't think this means I wouldn't want to be friends with all of them; it's just there is a difference between being a friend with someone, and actually living with them, and after three years of college, I can safely say that when it comes to roommates, you don't want extreme personalities one way or the other, but rather, a nice, healthy, balanced personality in your roommate. Otherwise, you might just go *twitch* crazy!!!

Will rainbow dash ever join the wonderbolts?
Batbrony replied to Grey Light's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Yeah, like everyone else is saying, I gotta agree, that's probably last episode material, and heaven forbid we start seriously discussing THAT anytime soon! Next season's going to be crucial for the show, because (1) Lauren Faust will no longer be executive producer, and (2) I have a theory that a show, even a critically acclaimed show, is only assured of a very long life span (i.e. 5+ seasons) once it makes it past the season 3 hump with critical acclaim and success. Case in point: Spectacular Spiderman; that poor show was probably the best animated Spiderman show I've ever seen, but right after the ending of it's 2nd season, what does Disney do? It pulls the plug on the show; no reason, no explanation given whatsoever. Granted, that's a very rare and bizarre example, but I do feel that if instead it had had 3 successful seasons at least, Disney wouldn't have pulled the plug on it after the third season like it decided to after the second, and I think the same holds true for any show. Course, this could just be the rantings of some half-wit college student who should be in bed right now, but hey, ya never know!- 220 replies

It's pretty fun, definitely a great summer job!!! We help keep things running smoothly at the beach (sell park passes, make sure no fights break out, maintain facilities/grills/volleyball nets, assist the lifeguards when there's an emergency). For special events like the Fourth of July, we get front row seats for the fireworks off the pier that nobody else does, since the area's closed off, and get to watch them from the dunes (which makes staying there till 4:00 A.M. almost worth it ). It's also nice knowing you're doing your part with your local community; my town's a big tourist town in the summer, especially for Hoosiers and Chicagoans, so I feel good knowing that I'm contributing to the local economy. Plus, ya get a wicked tan being out in the sun so much -
Very cool dude!!! Haven't been a brony long enough myself to figure out if any of my friends are bronies as well (doesn't help that I'm away from my college interning at D.C., but that'll be over soon enough). I have to sadly admit that before I was a brony, I basically once played the role of Derp in your story. Now, I wasn't acting like some rage-tard gorilla or anything, but last semester I did learn that one of my friends was a brony at the time (he's since stopped watching, but simply because he it was a time constraint; nobody actually pressured him to stop watching). So one night were going to hear a speaker, and the subject somehow gets brought up; I and the other one or two friends with him are incredulous, and we give him a bit of a hard time for it, but mostly for laughs, nothing mean-spirited or anything. I myself mostly just kept asking, seriously, "WHY? Why do you watch it? What's honestly appealing about it?". My friend, being somewhat embarassed, mostly just shrugged and really couldn't answer, and now I think I know why, since, after watching the show, I think you really do have to watch it to understand how awesome it is. Thankfully, this story has a happy ending. I'd heard about G4 before, but my friend's story was the first time I'd heard of anyone in the college age group, much less a guy, watching the show. So, a few months later, I looked into the brony culture a bit more, and eventually, after watching some great parodies on YouTube, decided to check out a few episodes. Now, I'm all the way through season 1, making my way through season 2, and an official brony! So, now I am no longer an ignorant hater (or at least just ignorant person, like I said, it's not like I went out of my way or anything to make fun of anyone I knew who watched the show), and my friend, inadvertently, is at least partially responsible for my bronification!!! I even contacted him about (quite discretely) on Facebook, mostly to apologize for any crap I gave him about it, and to tell him about how I'd started watching the show. Sad that he's not a brony anymore, but the good news is he's engaged to his girlfriend; can't wait to see them both next semester!
