  1. This may sound a bit cliche, but what I really love the most about Rainbow Dash is her extremely loyal attitude. She's so loyal to her friends, that, frankly, she's slown down her entire life for them! If she really, really, really committed and focused herself solely on joining the Wonderbolts, well, I think she really could. But instead, she's chosen to remain by the sides of her best friends, and also remains committed to her responsibilities in Ponyville, and that's something I really admire. Such loyalty reminds me very much of the commitment and brotherhood that I and all of my football teammates displayed toward each other on our high school football squad, and let me tell you, when it comes to that kind of loyalty, there is no greater bond between friends. I also love Dashie (and Applejack as well) for being one of the tomboys of the group, mostly because it reminds me of my sister, who was very tomboyish when she was younger, and is still a fantastic athlete. That aspect of RD's character just reminds me of one of the closest, possibly the closest, member of my family, and how much I love her and everything that makes her who she is! Thanks Dashie!!! Finally, on a sillier note, I love Rainbow Dash for having some of the most awesome one liners in the show; in fact, they're routinely 20% cooler than any of the other one-liners (HA, see what I did there? ) Love ya Rainbow Dash!!! Keep being awesome, just the way you are!!! Oh, also, this is possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen :
  2. When Fluttershy tripped over that cloud ring in "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" episode, I just impulsively let out a big "D'AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! That's when Fluttershy won the cuteness contest in that episode for me.
  3. Yeah, I know I was probably exaggerating just a little bit, but it was just all in good fun. I'm sure if Lauren Faust introduces them to the series, they'll be perfectly fine, not like the terrible monstrosities they were in G1 (LOL )
  4. All I'll say is that if there's one thing I've learned in 20 years of life, it's that there are a lot, and I mean A LOT, of stupid, stupid, stupid people out there who stereotype groups all of the time, on both the left and the right!!! And don't get me wrong, I'm quite the conservative Christian, but even before I was a brony, even though I would've thought adult men liking MLP was a little wierd, I would've never done anything like what that woman did. Frankly, she's just embarassing both herself as well as the millions of rational, level-headed conservative Christians out there such as myself.
  5. Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!
  6. Ahhhh, so you're the one who rode shotgun with AJ in the General Lee!!! Good to meet ya; AJ's one of my favorite ponies. Just love her work ethic, honesty, practicality, and love of family!!
  7. While I certainly love Pinkie Pie for her love of all things fun, parties, and making sure that everyone around her is having a fun time as well, the thing that I love about her most is her random nature and her love of laughter. I'm a very random guy myself, and Pinkie Pie exemplifies what a joy it is to be random sometimes, especially around your friends. I also think that one of the greatest things in the world is laughter, and that laughing a lot is one of the easiest ways to develop a good-spirited and friendly nature for all to enjoy, and Pinkie, being easily the most good-spirited of the group (save for occasions when she's lost it or when Discord turned her into a grump, I don't think I've ever seen her in a bad mood) exemplifies this as well. Rock on Pinkie, and just keep doing what you do best, and that's being yourself!!! Ooo, and don't forget, Vote Chancellor Puddinghead 2012!!!
  8. Yes, yes, just having a little bit of fun is all. I am a Michigander after all, so I know apple cider's not alcoholic. Just wasn't about to say something like "I wonder how much hard liquor Pinkie's parents had drunk," or anything like that, ya know. Although to be fair, even though I know that regular apple cider can foam quite a bit, I have heard that only fermented hard cider foams like the apple cider in MLP does, so, who really does know what the Apple family is making? (LOL )
  9. I'm a huge Applejack fan, and I think that she'd do great at Texas Hold'Em, but ultimately, I think that Pinkie Pie would do the best of all of 'em. I'll go through each one and measure their chances: Rarity: She'd be extremely competitive, especially if she started losing a lot, but probably wouldn't understand the finer niceties of Texas Hold'Em, so ultimately, she probably wouldn't do that well. Plus, the more she lost, the more frustrated she'd get, and as she did so, she'd probably start making more rash/cautious decisions with her gambles, and also have a less convincing poker face. Fluttershy: I highly doubt that unless the money at stake is going towards an animal shelter of some sort that Fluttershy would be competitive at all. The poor dear is simply too kind, and being so timid, she'd probably fold each round, even if she had a great hand, since she might not know what the best hands are. Love you Fluttershy. Twilight: Honestly, she might do the worst of the whole bunch. Since Twilight thinks that anything can be solved or learned by reading a good book, she'd obviously read beforehand something like "The Beginners Guide to Texas Hold'Em," or something like that. With her newly gained knowledge, Twilight would be very confident in her abilities, but, being a rookie still, most likely wouldn't win that many hands. As her losses started to mount more and more, Twilight would become increasingly frustrated. However, whereas Rarity and Fluttershy would be able to accept that they just aren't very good players, not being that experienced, Twilight would be convinced that her books hold the key to success, and would increasingly turn to them for aid. As her frustration mounted, her poker face would get worse, she'd take more irrational gambles, and she'd start to panic more and more, possibly eventually devolving into the wrecked, insane mess that we saw in 'Lesson Zero' (for all our sakes, I hope not, lol). Rainbow Dash: Probably would be a pretty good player, #3 of the bunch in my opinion. She'd be very competitive, probably has played the game before, most likely would have a good poker face, and would know when to take a risky gamble, at least initially. Her shortcoming, however, would be her ego; if she initially didn't do well, she'd just keep taking more and more risky gambles out of frustration, but even if she did do well initially, she'd probably become so arrogant about her chances of success, that eventually she'd take too risky of a gamble, or maybe even too many risky gambles, and might even lose everything in one hand. Bottom line, I don't think she'd be a good Texas Hold'Em player in the long run of a single game. Applejack: Most likely would be the 2nd best player of the whole group. Probably the most experienced with a game like Texas Hold'Em, is as competitive as Rainbow Dash, probably has a fairly good poker face despite her honest nature, and would be both risky when appropriate but also practical and cautious when necessary. While I still question just how good her poker face would be being such an honest pony, I bet her competitive streak, especially with Rainbow Dash, would help push her to maintain a pretty good poker face, and she'd make up for it by being a far more practical and modest player than Rainbow Dash. Pinkie Pie: Finally, the wild card. I highly doubt that Pinkie Pie has any experience with Texas Hold'Em whatsoever. However, she is easily the most random and unreadable of all of the characters. She wouldn't let competitiveness or frustration get in the way, since she wouldn't be displaying any of those traits; she'd just be there to have a good time with her friends. Thus, she'd always have the best poker face, making up somewhat in that regard for what she lacks in skill. But, as Pinkie has shown us again and again, the laws of physics, even in Equestria, clearly don't apply to her. As such, she'd easily be the luckiest player of the whole group, routinely coming up again and again with ridiculous winning hands, simply because she's Pinkie Pie. Even if going into the final hand some player was ridiculously far ahead of her, I have no doubt that somehow, Pinkie Pie would come up with a hand that would win her the whole pot in the end. Thus, after a careful analyzation, I have to say that Pinkie Pie would most likely be the best Texas Hold'Em player of the Mane 6.
  10. As much as I love Applejack and her apple bucking, flying just sounds way too cool to pass up. Yeah, I'd definitely want to become a pegasus; that way, I'd get to hang out in the clouds with Rainbow Dash (and Derpy!!!), control the weather, and visit Cloudsdale whenever I want to. Of course, I'd still live in Ponyville, and definitely try to make as many friends there as possible, including the Mane 6, while also being as contributive a member of society as I could possibly be. Don't want to just hang around there and do nothing but eat muffins after all right?
  11. I think they definitely would consider doing it, and could make it interesting for younger children as well. (1) In season 2, we had two episodes in a row devoted to Equestrian history, to a degree, in "Hearth Warming Eve" and "Family Appreciation Day". Both have been some of the finest episodes in season 2 so far in my opinion (still making my way through season 2). (2) If they depicted, at least for part of the episode(s) Celestia and Luna as fillies, then we could easily get character interaction similar to what we get with the Mane 6, so the potential for being able to entertain younger kids with such an episode or episodes is definitely there.

It could be a hardened cartilage, similar to what sharks so-called skeletal structure is made up of rather than bone.
  13. "A-" to the "-men" to the "that" pegasister (apologies if you're actually a brony, lolz ) The fun would certainly be doubled if we started getting more of Luna in MLP!
  14. Nice, where that swag with pride!
  15. Yeah, I agree with some of the other posters above, show him so of the media outside of the show itself; that's actually what attracted me to the show in the first place (I started watching Yaplap's videos, those vids are so freakin' hilarious! ). You said he's very random and has a short attention span, so maybe show him some short dub vids, like trailers dubbed over MLP (a particular favorite of mine lately has been the 'Hangover' and 'Hangover Part II' trailer dubs, but the 'Dark Knight' and '300' trailer dubs are also hilarious!). Hope this helps, but if he turns out just to be a lost cause and really stubborn, then don't waste your time trying to convert him when you could be sharing MLP with so many of your other friends.
  16. Hey everypony, just watched both the "Hearth Warming Eve" and "Family Appreciation Day" episodes today, both of which are very interesting episodes that deal with Equestria/Ponyville's origins, respectfully. After watching them, an interesting thought occured to me; it would be totally awesome if next season the producers made an episode, or a couple episodes, that show Celestia and Luna's origins and their defeat of Discord (granted, we already have exposition that's covered their origins in previous episodes, but very in-depth). Here's a couple of the Pros/Cons of having such an episode: Pros: (1) We'd get to see a lot more of both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna than we ever have before (2) We'd get to see Celestia and Luna, possibly, as fillies, the very thought of which makes we wanna go "d'awwwwwwwww" (3) We'd get to see more Discord, which, in and of itself justifies such an episode alone!!! (4) It'd be pretty darn interesting seeing how Celestia and Luna came to wield the Elements of Harmony, defeated Discord and became the rulers of Equestria, not to mention how they evolved into their more regal selves (i.e. if we saw them when they were younger, we might see them being far less regal ponies, and a lot more like the Mane 6) Cons: Ummm... nope, can't think of any in particular! So, what do ya'll think; would any of you like to see an episode or couple of episodes next season, or in some other future season, that covers Celestia and Luna's origin story?
  17. Hard to pin it down; I'd say the emoticon is the one I use the most, but for this site, IDK, I think this Big Mac emoticon might be my favorite, just cause, why else, it's Big Mac, as an emoticon!!! And that's automatically 20% cooler than any other emoticon, not counting any depicting Rainbow Dash (love ya Dashie ).
  18. Most likely, wouldn't make much sense if they only produced 13 episodes for the third season of a wildly popular and critically acclaimed show; then again, Disney canceled Spectacular Spiderman after 2 seasons only for Lord knows what reason, so, what do I know?
  19. ... ... ... ...I don't get it, was that actually supposed to be funny? Cause..... it wasn't..... at all!
  20. There was actually another thread concerning the 13 episode question; it sounds like the confusion resulted from a statement from Hasbro that 13 episodes are currently in production. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that there will only be 13 episodes; usually animated shows have two production periods per season, handling the first and second half of the show's current season. What'll most likely happen is that the second production period will start at the end of summer or the beginning of Season 3 and go through the first 13 episodes release periods, and maybe even a little into the second half of Season 3's release period, at least for some of the later episodes. Mind you, this is just an educated guess, but that's how the first season of Young Justice was handled, and I think a lot of other animated shows' production crews do the same thing.
  21. Oh man, I hope if my mom finds out it goes half-as-well as that; congrats man!!!
  22. Oh man, if I ever see a "I HEART Derpy" shirt in a mall, I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to resist getting it!!! Oh man, just tell your parents about your bronihood, it'd so be worth the RD shirt!
  23. I'll be chilling on the forums, getting through the rest of Season 2, and watching fun parodies on YouTube (like Ponies: The Anthology II, can't wait for that!!!! ).
  24. Heheh, you've obviously been taking lessons from your friendly neighborhood Spiderman :
