  1. "Reformed villains" is a fairly common element in literature and storytelling, so I'm not offended when I see it happen. However, when it happens ALL the time in a series, it ends up subtracting from the the suspense when you encounter new villains because after awhile, you just end up telling yourself "oh yeah, this bad guy will end up just turning good like all the others." One of the things that really drew me to MLP is that many of the episodes were very much in the spirit of the stories that I've writen for my daughters. Many of the MLP episodes--- and my stories--- are about dealing with disappointment, managing one's expectations, or finding contentment with what you have, rather than obsessing about what you don't have. I also quite like
