  1. I love when I pause an episode, and it ends up on something weird like this: http://puu.sh/6kbzY.png

      NothingIsEverything

That could be a meme. :3

Remember the last time we pushed a meme?

      No.

  2. I'm not the only one! I too live in a small rural area. Currently, I'm living in a farmhouse, in the middle of a field, on the outskirts of a small stop in the road that some people actually call a town. I kid you not. It's actually my aunt and uncle's place, but my grandparents and I lost our home about a year ago and they're letting us live here, so despite the crappiness of living in the middle of nowhere, I'm quite grateful. As for how people think around here, most of them are "rednecks" (many of which are proud and self-proclaimed) and seem to be either closed minded, ignorant, or both. I try not to let it get to me though. I like to think I dance to the beat of my own drum, so to speak, and I don't care who knows it. So, because of that, I'm not at all secretive about being a brony. Everyone who knows me knows, and surprisingly, they all seem okay with it... for the most part. Most of my family thinks it's a bit weird, but they don't make fun of me or put me down for it. My aunt did ask me if I was gay once, though. (Which I'm not, but that doesn't matter, does it?) Another thing that stinks about living in a rural area is that when it comes to finding fellow bronies, it can be next to impossible. That doesn't really bother me either though. I get around it by having online friends and going to cons, where I've actually gotten to meet some of them. I can't say I like living here. Although I was born and raised in this area, I feel out of place. Most people around here don't know or care much about computers, don't understand fandoms, and like to do things like hunting and fishing. I don't even like fish, and the thought of killing an animal... (I can't even find an emoticon to express the feeling I would have) I just feel like I'd be much happier in a city or suburban area where I could possibly meet more people like myself, but as bad as it is, as long as I have my computer and an internet connection, I'm usually okay.
  3. I have merged both of your threads with this one since they're both about the same thing. If you're ever unsure if a topic exists, please search before making a new one. Bitcrush, if you're still around, I know what you mean about the search feature not working. I'd recommend using Google instead, with the following format: site:mlpforums.com SearchTerm Where "SearchTerm" is the topic you're looking for. If I could meet any pony from the show, I think it would be Fluttershy. She's the one pony I just want to hug, and I have a feeling she would be incredibly nice and eager to show me around... but then again, she may be too shy to even speak to me.
  4. Until the Sun - &I feat. Feather (9/10) ANEMOMETER - SimGretina (4/10) Babs FU*KING Seed - Solrac (11/10) Twilight is My Gun - Sgt-Whip (2/10) Ponytroll [as General Mumble] [befriends Vol Jang of Trolls News] - Andy Feelin (2/10) Overall: 5.6/10 Yes, my iPod is filled with pony music. I used to download every bit of pony music I could find, so I have a lot of it that I don't even like (the ones that are 2/10). Solrac's songs are a special case. They all get 11/10 because of how obnoxiously awesome they are.
  5. Welcome to the forums, T and K! I was checking your profile before approving your meetup map entry, and I noticed you actually live nearby, which was surprising considering I never see any bronies/pony fans in my area. Just wanted to say hi as a nearby Georgia brony and give you a few tips, if I can. Regarding conventions, I actually attended BronyCon for the second time this year, and I must say, both times were a blast! It was so much fun being around other people that share my interests and there was so much to see and do. From cosplay, to panels, to merchandise, and music, there is just so much to experience, that you really have to be there to know what it's like. Fortunately, BronyCon isn't the only option you have. I just decided to go there since it's the largest, and the one that everyone I knew was going to. There are some conventions that are closer, but I can't tell you the names of them right off the top of my head. I'm pretty sure there's one in Atlanta though, and I think there's one in Orlando, or somewhere around that area. They're smaller, of course, but I'm sure they're just as much fun. You also mentioned that you don't know how to add images your post. If you're still having trouble, this is how you do it. There are a couple of different ways. If you are posting an image from a URL, just click this, and paste the address. Alternatively, you can use image tags like this: [img=url] If you are uploading an image from your computer, click this, and then be sure to click "Add to Post", or it will just be appended to your post as an attachment. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask me or any of our other friendly staff members. I hope you two enjoy your time here on the forums!
  6. My new year's resolution is to stop procrastinating and actually get some things done around here. I have merged your thread with this one since they are both about new year's resolutions. When making new threads, I'd suggest searching first to make sure one doesn't already exist. You can search for threads via Google using the following format: site:mlpforums.com ThreadName Oh, also, to answer your second question, if I could have anything in Equestria, it would be Twilight Sparkle. She could use her amazing magic and smartness to create a portal. Then we could both go back to Equestria.

  13. I merged your thread with this one since it's on the same topic. As for me, I was into some arguably girly shows even before MLP. I used to watch a lot of anime and most of my favourites were either romances or slice-of-life. If I had to name a few, the ones that come to mind are... CLANNAD - Not sure how "girly" it is, but it contains a lot of romance and sappy emotional stuff. It made me cry, at least, so I'd say it counts. ARIA - Laid back slice-of-life story with mainly female characters. Contains a lot of sappy, girly stuff too. This is one of my favourite shows besides MLP. Every episode gave me a relaxed and uplifted feeling, and the music is so catchy and soothing, I had to download the soundtrack just so I can listen to it before I go to sleep. Azumanga Daioh - Hilarious comedy involving mostly female characters as well. Onegai My Melody - Uh... forgot exactly what this one is about. Something about a bunny who has to protect dreams with magic... Anyway, it contains a bunch of cute animals, so what's not to love? Jewelpet - Haven't watched much of this one yet, but I'm liking it so far. Like the one above, it has a lot of cute animals. It's owned by the same company too, who consequentially also owns Hello Kitty, another girly thing that I kind of... think is cute. Littlest Pet Shop - One of the few "girly" shows that I like that isn't an anime. As you can probably tell by now, I like cute animals, but besides that, it also has entertaining storylines, great music, and high quality animation. What else can you expect from the same studio that makes MLP? That's all I can think of at the moment, but there are many others. Basically I'm drawn to anything romantic, sad, charming, funny, or cute. Consequentially, that usually means "girly".
  14. He has a scepter in his avatar, so I think he's being sarcastic. Either way, I have to admit, this seem like a forced meme, but it's still funny in my opinion.
  15. I for one welcome our new scepter overlord. Seriously though, that's one of the many things I love about this fandom. One little thing happens in the show and before long, it's everywhere. I'm sure some people find it annoying, but in my opinion, it's one of the things that makes the fandom more interesting. If not for things like this, we wouldn't have characters like Derpy, or Vinyl Scratch, and stuff like art, fanfics, and music wouldn't be nearly as interesting. Sure, there are some annoying fads (like Gak), but they usually calm down after a while, and I'm sure this one will too, but for now... ALL HAIL THE SCEPTER!
  16. I changed my avatar. Do I look more like a princess now?

  17. After waiting for weeks, my Walgreens finally got these in stock. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ajpif8g0uxwfzlx/100_1371.JPG

These are the ones that I have currently. I usually buy one every time I go to Walmart. https://www.dropbox.com/s/trdfb4fjrcmq55h/100_1378.JPG

  18. Personally, I like to buy them individually. I try to collect the covers for each one, though that means buying multiples of the same comic. I also keep one for reading and store the others vertically in mylar bags to protect them from deterioration. It's all personal choice, really. I'm a collector, so although I like to read them, my primary focus is on collecting the various covers and archiving them. If you just want to read them and get the most for your money, volumes would probably be the way to go. You could always buy individual comics later if you want.
  19. Interested in watching movies and chatting with fellow bronies? If so, then you're in luck! We're planning on bringing back our longstanding tradition of Friday Movie Nights, and we'd like your input to know what times would be best for the event. http://mlpforums.com/topic/76892-its-showtime/

  21. What if I'm in college and older than 25? Anyway, I graduated from high school in 2006. I'm currently going to a local technical college for an associates degree in computer networking. Originally, I was interested in the hardware side of things, hence networking, but after becoming a staff member here and working with software, I'm thinking about going into website design and programming too. I chose "12th or college". I'm in college, so in my opinion, that overrides the "over 25" option. Anyway, yeah, I feel old too, so you're not alone.
  22. I read the title of this thread as "Brony Bitcoins". If only there was such a thing... These are nice, but I'm not much into collectable coins. Now if they were real currency, that would be awesome.
  23. 2/10 This is a bit embarrassing, but although I know I recognize your name, I can't remember where I've seen you. Whoa, that's an old post! Thanks for the birthday wishes!
  24. Thanks for all the birthday wishes, everyone! It feels strange being 26. I'm getting old!
