Has anyone watched the new generation of "Monster High" yet? I really like the new character designs.  OMG! Draculaura is so adorable! They made her a little shorter, and just a touch 'thicker' than the other characters. She's such a sweet little bloodsucker!

Phineas and Ferb

As people may know, I have recently become a diehard fan of Phineas and Ferb. Ever since I started watching, something about Stacy's outfit nagged at my memory. I knew it reminded me of something, but could never place it!

The other day, Pluto TV FINALLY started running "Star Trek TOS" on the Trek channel. I watched the original series for the first time in literally years. Something in my mind clicked.

I pasted this mash-up together to show what I finally remembered!

Bleach!

Hi all! I haven't been around much lately, but here I am! I just did something today that I hadn't done in literally YEARS! In one day I binged watched all 20 episodes of season one of the anime
"Bleach"!
(Had the place to myself, so I snuggled on the sofa all day long!)

It's been years since I saw it, but I'm finally te-watching the anime "Outlaw Star"!

I've forgotten how much I LOVE Aisha Clan-Clan! Not the brightest kitten in the litter, but she's loyal, headstrong, and totally deadly in a fight!

I can find ANYTHING at thrift stores! Yes, I actually really did take this picture! Forty bucks! I told my mom I would buy him, and she thought I was serious! She turned a very becoming shade of green!

The guy said it was plastic, but the missing tooth makes me think it might be real!

A goose is found in a London street. What starts as a puzzle to pass the time before Christmas turns into an exciting case when said goose is found to contain a fabulous treasure! This has always been one of my favorite original Sir Conan Doyle stories. It highlights the deep friendship between Holmes and Watson. It also reveals that Holmes is not above taking the law into his own hands to serve the greater good.

(I just finished watching both! Peter Cushing is good as the consulting detective, but Jeremy Brett stepped right from the pages of the story. He was born to play Sherlock Holmes!)

While I'm home sick (NOT COVID!!!) I'm getting into some serious old school anime. I dug out my "The Dirty Pair" TV series DVDs. They bring back happy memories of when I was about ten, and would swipe my brother's bootleg anime on VHS tapes! I always knew why he liked them, but I have always thought Kai and Yuri were so cool! They could beat up anyone, and kind of blew things up by accident as they solved various crimes.

It's weird, but I still get the little thrill when I see the words "I will solve any problem for you" come up in English on a screen full of Japanese.

Re-watching Tangled: The series. I had forgotten how much I loved "Pascal's Story" (Season 01, episode 11)

We got more insight into Rapunzel's lonely childhood, and it was so touching seeing the two become such good friends.

I loved Eugene's quip "I have a rule about dying in the same place twice." when he said that he would wait outside of the tower Rapunzel grew up in.

I got this DVD today at a thrift store for a dollar. My husband reacted like I handed him a bar of gold when I gave it to him!

M*A*S*H first season DVD disc 3 ruined my childhood!

In the episode "Dear Dad...Again" Hawkeye was supposed to walk to the mess tent naked! The DVD forgot to crop the image! Look at these images I grabbed myself. Hawkeye is clearly

Why did the snake cross the road?

To scare the living hell out of me! I went for a walk today around sunset (It was finally cooling off) I very nearly LITERALLY stepped on a three foot long snake that was slithering by right in front of me!!!!

OMG! Everyone tells mere their are no venomous snakes were I live, but they miss the point. It was a SNAKE! I did not take a picture, because I didn't stick around! It looked like this!

Dangers of Cellphones! True story...

This is a true story, that happened a few hours ago. Every trash day, I like to tidy up and get any litter in the street near our house. (Corner lot AKA Trash magnet!) Among the plastic bottles and candy wrappers, I found a cellphone. It was all smashed up, and didn't have a back The screen was so cracked it had that almost milky white look. Anyway, there wasn't much so I brought it all in and stuffed it in the kitchen trashcan.

A few minutes later, Marvin Gay's "Let's Get it on" started playing loudly from the trash. It was funny, but annoying. I dug out the phone intending to take out the battery to shut it up. It was a Samsung phone, and I didn't know the battery was permanent. I thought it was just stuck for some reason.

I grabbed a small screwdriver from the kitchen "junk drawer" and pried it out.

It made a bright flash, and a popping noise. I had it free, but felt it getting hot in my hand. I dropped it. When it hit the floor, it literally BURST INTO FLAMES!

I screamed, and my husband came running. He opened the back door and kicked the chunk of hellfire outside, and sprayed the hose on it for a few minutes (Burned his shoe!)

I looked up "Cellphone battery fire" and found this video. It looked and sounded EXACTLY like this!

OMG! I had an inferno like that going off in my kitchen! I was literally standing right next to the fire extinguisher, but screamed like a ninny and my husband saved the day! If I ever see another broken cellphone, it stays in the street! Don't touch the battery in a damaged cellphone!
