Thank you all for the warm welcome. So far, this has been a great experience.

Having a theme is one of the most vital elements to it. Though honestly, it is hard to do sometimes. You just want to write and your story gets away from you. Congrats on figuring it out. That is not an easy thing to do.

Thank you. That makes sense Nope, would rather have honest input. This is actually rather helpful as I do want the characters I created to be the main focus of the story. Lol, not used to having a situation where I can get input on bad ideas before I implement them lol.

So, I have an idea for a fanfic, and while it does not start out in Equestria (It starts in another dimension) it will end up in equestria. I have been thinking of ways this can happen, and one of the thoughts I had was that Pinkie Pies constant breaking of the fourth wall has weakened dimensional barriers, creating a crack. This will allow the main (mane?) focus of the story to enter Ponyville. Any thoughts on this?

I am new, and before I joined the site, I created some characters for a Fanfic I want to write, Fox Fire is one of them. Fox Fire is a Half Pony/Half Dragon type known as a Drax. The Drax originate from an alternate world, when long ago, some ponies found a magical doorway and crossed through, the nature of the magic, caused their bodies to change, giving them some reptilian features, however also retaining some Pony Features. I have a few drawings, and while none of them are steller, they do get the idea across. (Not able to upload or I would give examples.) Just trying to figure out if this character would be to oddball for anything.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I became a fan of MLP as a way to remember my Daughter. She passed away at 2 and would have been 7 this year. She most likely would have been watching the show and enjoying every bit of it.So it makes me feel closer to her. Even if she isn't here. I am a bit old I imagine, rounding out 40. I am an Artist, Writer and aspiring Animator. I work from home, and enjoy many things. I found MLP by watching Smile HD, and then researching. Then watched the show. It is intelligent, well drawn and well acted. But the most important reason was for my child. I have truly come to enjoy the show, even though I am only on season 2, and have started working on some fan fic, Of which two characters are completely fleshed out, and many more at least sketched out. Not sure what to say. And I hope you don't find a 40 year old to be too disturbing.
