    Maybe my apathy towards MLP "lore" is part of why it's so easy for me to regard G5 as something entirely new. To me, new characters in the same setting would be way less interesting than the same characters in a new setting. If both are different, then whatever, it's just a new show.

      That doesn’t really bother me about those episodes in particular, if only because Celestia was until then such a mystery that they could have told me almost anything and I would have believed it.
