The Celestia and Luna episodes would've worked better for me if they came much earlier in the show. An episode like "Between Dark and Dawn" could've easily been a season 1 or 2 episode (with some changes of course) because I think there are better stories to tell about them than disagreeing over vacation choices. And one thing that really bothers me about that episode and "A Royal Problem" is that the sisters act like they barely know each other when they have been reunited for more than a fair amount of time.

@Number62 My biggest issue with "Between Dark and Dawn" probably is that their reactions to each other seemed far more extreme than would be reasonable, and "A Royal Problem" does seem like an issue they would have dealt with a long time ago, but I also found both of those episodes fairly relatable, and I really liked that they humanized the sisters. I enjoyed the show bringing them down to Earth. Ditto "Luna Eclipsed" and "Horse Play" - though not "Celestial Advice" or "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?"

I might have liked "A Royal Problem" and "Between Dark and Dawn" a tad better if they had come earlier in the show. Really, my biggest problem with them is that there are too many questions and too few answers. I don't think "Horse Play" was bad by itself, but the show already took various dumps on Princess Celestia by that point, so whatever it tried to accomplish pretty much had zero impact. Like with the former two episodes, it also should have come earlier. And it also bugs me that the most Princess Celestia was allowed to do in the show was save a small play. Interestingly, I hated "Celestial Advice" not for its quality, but because it came too late and had Twilight claiming that she needed Princess Celestia when that was (almost) never the case at any point in the show.
