To this day, I still see people acting like it was some big bastardization of Twilight's character for her to create the Unity Crystals, even as it's been explained over and over how it was explained in the comics and Make Your Mark that it was the ponies' fault that magic got lost (they could still use the magic even after it was sealed in the Unity Crystals), not Twilight's. Regardless, there's something I never realized until now...isn't it much more out of character/"out of character" for Twilight to be okay with outliving her friends than sealing magic away to save the world? I mean, think about it. Twilight created the Unity Crystals because she believed ponies would choose friendship and bring magic back if it was lost. That's consistent with the friendship is magic theme...but how is her being cool with outliving her friends?

Doing my best to be cautiously optimistic about this despite G5's abrupt cancellation. If they really intend to make us wait until 2027, I hope "lots of new content" does not mean we're just going to get that Cutie Mark Camp show.

Recently, someone who works on preserving Tell Your Tale (their work can be seen in the unreleased third special) and has access to insider knowledge, revealed the reason why they are so passionate about preserving G5 in addition to the true reason why it was screwed over according to inside sources. Back when we first learned of TYT's unfair cancellation, everyone, including me, someone who never bought the narrative of it being because said show and Make Your Mark were supposedly unpopular, thought the reason was due to some kind of underperformance like the G5 series not selling enough toys, the most popular belief among G5 fans as to why it happened. I was NOT expecting this to be the reported reason, Hasbro literally just getting tired and giving up...but looking at how TYT has always been well-viewed and is still being watched (the official TYT channel surpassed 50 million views nearly two months ago) as well as how an official discontinuation of the G5 toy line has yet to be announced with an interest in G5 merchandise still being maintained, it makes sense. This is happening when G4 has always been more popular and we've not had any official G5 content in six months. Everything points to the saying, "G5 didn't fail Hasbro, Hasbro failed G5.", being true.

G5 reviewer, Doc Anubis, has begun making leaked animatics for unfinished episodes of Tell Your Tale Season 2 available to the public, something he intends to continue doing for a while. Wonder how Hawk Nightwing, the G5 reviewer who is currently producing a revival of TYT Season 2, is going to react to this.
