  1. It's a real shame that this is happening. MLP's been great and I don't want it to get a bad reputation as a franchise, but at this rate It's gonna happen. It just doesn't make sense to me. Every season has had at least one bad episode, but It's never affected the season as a whole as much as it has here. Also, I'd like to stress again, I didn't think Season 3 was terrible, it just doesn't compare to the other seasons. I'm worried that if the hate and low ratings keep going for too long the show will soon get cancelled.
  2. Looking back at the older seasons, to me, Season 3 was the one that I felt had the least quality. I'm not saying I hated it, It's just later and older seasons outshine it. Now, I'm saying this because even back then, there wasn't even much hate for Season 3 as far as I can tell. But now, with Season 6 having started, there have been tons of people slamming down on it as if It's the spawn of Satan. Now I'm not gonna say It's true, I've not seen any of Season 6 yet myself, but god help me I wish I could just to see where all this hatred is coming from. Now, of course this Isn't new, and hell, there have been bad episodes before, like, really bad ones. (The Mysterious Mare Do Well, Bridle Gossip, The Cutie Pox for starters) but this... This is a whole new level. It's to the point where I can't go a few forum pages without someone throwing a snarky remark or some kind of insult at Season 6. I don't know what's going on, but the chance of Season 6 being as demonic as everyone says it is is about as high as the chance of pigs flying. I'll probably end up watching through, waiting to see what everypony's so pissed about and then end the season thinking everyone overreacted.
  3. Adults love microtransactions even more than kids do. For MLP I'd most likely expect an E or T rating, but nothing higher. Come on, the show's done some brutal things before. And I haven't heard of any company contracts like that either, so... Yeah.
  4. It's not that I have a problem with raunchiness and dark comedy, hell I watch raunchy cartoons like Family Guy and stuff like that all the time. But you have to do it right, this feels a little too on the nose. If there's one thing I can give Sausage Party's trailer credit for, the way the twist was done was rather brilliant, but past "SHE'S PEELING ME FUCKING SKIN" I don't see much more to it.
  5. Here's the problem I have with Sausage Party. It looks kinda nice, and the concept is interesting, but the execution just seems off from what I've seen of it. It feels like one of those movies that tries too hard to be cool by constantly using cursing and violence. I'm fine with cursing and violence, but the trailer alone takes it to a ridiculous level. Nothing really sticks out as original or unique about Sausage Party, as all it seems to rely on is the whole "mature film disguised as a family film" shtick. I'm willing to give it a chance, but It's certainly not something I'll bother to go the theatre for.
  6. True, but I have a feeling a game like that would be quite controversial... Grand Theft Ponies... It'd still be awesome, though if you want something like that... Ever considered modding GTA 5? There are quite a few pony mods out there from what I've heard. Wow, you really don't like Ambient Prologue do you? I don't see what's so bad about it. It honestly looks like a pretty interesting game. And EG didn't feel "dumbed down" to me. It doesn't reach the same calibre as the show, but it definitely still seems like they intended to have it appeal to all ages. Whether it worked out is up to you. And the target audience Isn't even the biggest audience, we know that much already. Consoles are still popular by the way, and we already have a mobile MLP game (which also wasn't dumbed down I might add, which proves they won't just dumb it down for younger crowds.) It's also not Hasbro's choice how to develop the game, It'll come down to whoever they would get to develop it for them. If they did make a game, they would most likely outsource it to someone else and let them work on it the way they want to, since they're the game experts, not Hasbro. They'll know how the audience tick. I have no doubt about that.
  7. We could, but I think we'd need the power of every brony in the world in order to do this. It sounds impossible but let's do it. #MakeHasbroGreatAgain
  8. Oh, I didn't choose Bethesda to make it, someone else mentioned them and I agreed It'd be pretty good. If there's anypony I'd want to make it, It'd be PlatinumGames. Square Enix aren't as good as they used to be anymore so, I'm not sure about them...
  9. Wow, he must have really hated it. I understand it has quite a few flaws, but It's not the worst game ever made. Certainly not something that would make me sell my console.
  10. That'd be pretty cool, I guess. I mean we know they'll never put My Little Pony in Lego Dimensions, or anything like that. Amiibo's would be a better place to have it. Seriously, when you've had to spend as much on those Lego Dimensions sets as I have, the price on Amiibo's is a life saver. That'd be pretty neat. Love the idea of a sandbox. Maybe we could have a mode to create our own levels. I wasn't even aware Hasbro had ever MADE game before... Besides, that's why they should outsource it to another developer. Oh, I shudder just thinking about it... Bethesda? That'd be pretty cool. Then all our Fallout Equestria fantasies could come true XD Yeah, I don't really think an MMO would work for MLP, but it sounds exciting. True. And they should put lots of time into the battle mode as well, not make it half assed like most other games are. Give us some big battle mode like, say, SA2 had. Plus add a co-op system and we're all good to go.
  11. Fighter of course! Though you forgot one other class... The Jew. (DISCLAIMER: I have nothing against Jews, it's just meant to be a nod to something.)
  12. Pure genius... We get a pony style sims game and haters can remove the ladders and let ponies drown in the swimming pool. Everypony wins! I don't think RPG elements would work too well, but definitely get a professional storywriter, because why not? Don't worry about it, I get what you mean. There could be disastrous consequences. Oh yeah, I remember seeing a trailer for Psychonauts once, looks pretty trippy
  13. I know it could be disappointing, yes, but it's not really supposed to be for all gamers, it would be aimed at fans of the show. A 2d platformer style game sounds cool, maybe a Rainbow Dash sonic style game. Well, MLP isn't exactly known for its grand storytelling, I feel like there should be more to it than story, I feel like maybe an episodic series would be your kind of thing I guess.
  14. Yeah, I see what you're getting at. Having other non pony characters would be fresh, and could play differently to keep them unique.I see Gilda working, but not Chrysalis. I imagine they'd use Chrysalis as a boss fight instead.
  15. I used to love that Spongebob game when I was younger, it was really well made, and I still remember it today. Thanks for the nostalgia trip, that was probably one of my firsts as well. It's a shame the company who made it went under, but if they can make a Spongebob game appealing they can sure as hell make an MLP game just as great.
  16. Oh yeah, they could have some kind of quest system. That'd be awesome. I'm just imagining what a Discord quest would be like. Also, I'd rather they have all of the Mane 6 playable from the start, but have shards for other characters. The individual stories thing sounds neat too.
  17. I don't know about you, but I really wish My Little Pony had It's own official video game, and not one like the mobile Gameloft Farmville clone, I mean a full, triple a, video game for consoles and possibly PC. Now, obviously we know TV and Movie licensed games have a REALLY bad reputation, and for good reason, but there is the odd decent or even great ones (Spider-man 2 and South Park: The Stick Of Truth for example). Here are some ideas I've thought of for what I'd imagine my dream MLP game to be like: - If I had to choose someone to develop it, I'd probably pick PlatinumGames. They aren't my favourite developer or anything, but I think they'd be really suitable to make a game like that, considering what kind of games they've developed in the past and have done well with other Hasbro franchises too. It'd just go really well with my vision. With that in mind, I'd want the graphics to have a cel-shaded art style, similar to that of one of their other games, Transformers Devastation. - Have it be an exploration based game with action, destructible environments and different tasks only certain races can perform. (So, have Applejack kick down trees to bridge pathways, or Rarity use her magic to pull levers out of her reach. Make all of the Mane 6 playable with other side and background ponies available as support characters. Give every character a skill tree with gems as upgrade points, and scatter bits all around the map, which can be traded in at stores for power-ups. Make iconic areas from the show playable, like the Everfree Forest and Canterlot, with Ponyville being your main hub to prepare yourself for levels. - For music, include remixes of songs from the show along with new additions. - As for story, come up with an original story for the game, make it entertaining with a decent arc throughout and It's all good. Provide voice acting from all the cast of the show. This is just me daydreaming though. This is never gonna happen, and those weren't even all of my ideas, just the ones I think are most important. What do you guys think?
  18. I actually think Pokemon and MLP are equal in popularity. (Usually anyway, Pokemon GO's raised It's notoriety quite a lot, but sadly most of It's players are just setting trends and were never Pokemon fans beforehand, just people who heard how big GO was and started playing. But It's just a fad. All fad's die down eventually.) I really don't see the point in comparing the two, MLP has a large dedicated fanbase of writers, animators, and just bronies in general, plus they have also managed to capture their target demographic. Pokemon is another large franchise with tons of dedicated players of the games, anime viewers, and has a fair amount of the same stuff I mentioned from the MLP fanbase. Point is, I really don't see one being more popular than the other.
  19. I don't like to consider the comics canon, as 1. I've never read them and 2. To the best of my knowledge they aren't written by the same people who write the show. We don't really know what age Maud is in EG. I get where you're coming from though. The ponies have full time jobs, while the Equestria Girls are still in school. But maybe it would make more sense if you take the difference of pony years and human years into account.
  20. I'd imagine they would be the same age as their pony counterparts, but nopony's found out THEIR age yet, so... Unsolved?
