  1. Every single thing is existence is going downhill according to some group of people or another. No matter what it does, how good it is, or whether fans enjoy it.. there is always that group standing in the corner either mumbling or proclaiming how much better it used to be the day before.

IMO, no it is not going downhill. Saying it is going downhill for me, is me saying I don't like it anymore... and I have better things to do than watch shows I don't like telling people how much I don't like it. ^_^

  2. They utterly destroy it with mishmashes  or assorted re-imaginings nobody asked for or store it in a vault for several years to leak out when the time is right.

Also mercilessly go after fan content creators as they are known to do with their properties.

  3. It remains to be seen what the future holds. However I did get a letter from Comcast not too long ago discussing changes to their service and how they operate, nothing bizarre though with everything remaining the same. They did want to assure me though they have big plans for the future and as always looked forward to servicing me better over the coming months...

    Uh oh....

    :o

But seriously, time will tell, no point in speculating and rattling the bushes.

  4. That is adorable. Honestly I could see you having that made into a stained glass ornament. Which at first glance is what I thought it was with the position it is in in relation to the blind string which looks like a little chain leading to Rainbow Dash's head. Look into that... I would buy one.

    Awesome job!

    A quick question:

Your rules now more or less state that the staff will remain impartial to all debates and not show their bias for any side, which is 100% fair, but I am wondering: does this mean the staff will now refrain from engaging in debate themselves? I think if this is the stance you are taking on the issue it would be in the best interest of the staff to no longer share their opinion on subjects in debate because it will create accusations of bias when dealing with disciplinary action.

If I am debating with Joe Average and Staffer A has made it clear they agree with the things that Joe Average has said in the past and Joe Average reports me... I am going to find it hard to believe the staff's decision on what to do with said report is unbiased.

Obviously I cannot answer for Jeric, but I do want to toss out an opinion.

I feel it is important staff be allowed to share their thoughts as well in the debate pit if they so choose. They may be "staff' but they should be allowed to strive to be users as well, which means being allowed to participate in all of the areas every other member participates in. Just because someone does not share their opinions does not mean is should be invalid.

I can see where you are coming from, and while i agree it can cause concern in something like a place like the debate pit... as long as a member is following the rules, then the unhappy individuals reporting can moan all day long and it should amount to nothing.

Obviously if a member does feel they are being picked on for some reason due to some bias from the debate pit or some such, they should be able to head to administration and find some answers.

You should like me on my bad days. I would adore having a vacation. I thought having Cadance and Twilight in positions of authority would afford us that opportunity, however you had the return of the Crystal Empire, and then Tirek, and then before you knew it, the other Princesses were just as busy as I am.

I've joked about giving Spike the throne for a week since he just got his own wings. *Snickers*

Aww, tell you what Princess, here is the solution... you have Twilight and her friends on hand, plus Cadance and Shining Armor and the Crystal Empire... AND Starswirl and the pillars now... not to mention back up in the way of Thorax and the Changelings, Ember and the Dragons, Rutherford and the yaks, the Griffon empire, Tempest and Starlight and Discord all among others...

Now say there is an emergency someplace only you and Luna can handle it, give Twilight a phone number to reach you in case of emergency, then promptly lose the phone. Then you and Luna swing by and pick me up and let's go paint the Earth red, followed by Equestria. It will take us at least a couple months to see everything... and if you are truly worried, take a time travel spell so after we are done we can just zip back to a point like 5 minutes after we left or something. Just make sure we have internet connections since I know Luna is a gamer to, and we have to have some time for our beloved games. Don't make that face.. I'll teach you how to play Skyrim.... trust me, you'll love it.

I call shotgun on the zeppelin rides.

  7. All I am doing is working as usual. That is all I do every summer. ^_^

I would love to get some time off and take a trip somewhere, but that ain't happening no matter how hard I wish. I'll console myself with some summer themed games in my time off. OK, they will be regular games but I will pretend they have a summer theme.

  8. I heartily approve of Inky Rose avatar. Being into the Gothic subculture myself I do not find it strange at all, and in fact very enlightening and relaxing. Either way, welcome.

Fluttergoth totally approves, she just refuses to show it.

  9. The fandom has been dying for 6+ years now. That is a long time to be dying. Seriously though, it is declining as has been stated... it is to be expected... does anyone really think it would last forever somehow? It is not going anywhere anytime soon even with the decline... it will just shed the member no longer interested in all. Fans of the franchise will be around for years to come as well as the new people that discover it as the generations swap out.

Just a question. Have you seen any of the free-for-all over Jodie Whittaker taking over the TARDIS as the first female regeneration of the Doctor? It's getting embarrassing to be an American Doctor Who fan. Without seeing a single episode, people are denouncing her as "Nurse Who" as if doctor is a male specific  title. I, for one, can't wait to see the new Doctor in action.

Since it is a reboot of the series I think people should give it a chance. Let it succeed or fail on what it is, and not what people think it should be. At the end of the day, everyone has their favorite incarnation of a give series or film... but although the film or series may be timeless, the actors playing these roles are not. They get older, pass away, or just decide to do something else. When this happens I feel they should end it or reboot... I hate sequels that change up the actors too much because it just becomes jarring to me to watch since I tend to think of such things as one long continuous story. In this case, as a reboot, if this Doctor Who stinks, fans can always return to their other incarnations and watch them as is and lose nothing, but if it is awesome, then they continue the legacy and add more to the overall mythos while watching a new favorite show. People need to give themselves the ability to like something and be surprised, instead of crossing their arms and sitting in the corner grumping that it exists.

Well with your attitude, I'm leaving this thread

How is asking a question having an attitude?

I mean he does have a point. Personally speaking I think it is a dumb idea to if they are just trying to make a sequel, but that is because I can't see anyone else playing the role that I would enjoy as much as Ford. That being said, he can't do it forever which means either they end the series, or reboot it. I would be OK with a reboot, as long as they stick to what made the first films so enjoyable and don't try changing the formula to cater to any specific audience. Just concentrate on making a good film.

  12. Looks pretty awesome to me, might give it a whirl with more info.

I personally don't care about Activision and all of that jazz... I don't personally jump into camps or anti-camps. If the game is good and fun, I will play it even if the company putting it out does a lot of crap at times.

  13. You forgot a couple.

    • Those who refuse to pay attention, learn or get a clue, possibly due to not paying attention. Spelling it out for them constantly slows any game down. I will also include those who really don't like to make any decisions on their own in this group.
    • Those who derail the game because it does not correspond to how the real world and physics work. I ran across these types more with fall damage more than any other issue.
    • Those who can't get into the game because they are more interested in talking about or involving stuff outside of the game, so much so it influences or interferes with the game itself.
    • Players who stew over whatever issues they have in game instead of getting it out early so they can move forward. Character envy, loot envy and DM resentment are some examples.
    • Creepy & Inappropriate players. They exist, nuff said.
    • The snobs. Players that have been playing far longer and tend to be obnoxious or condescending to players with less or little experience.

There are probably others I am not thinking about.

Yes, this. I also find cases of hauntings and unexplained things absolutely fascinating. The stories people tell, which while some are sensationalized a lot probably hold some truth.

Yes very. A lot of it is just attention seeking drivel, or misunderstandings about how things work sometimes.. but you would be surprised what truths lie out there unseen or hidden. The world just behind the world we understand is far larger than any of us really know or comprehend.

But I won't derail this thread discussing it here. ;)

  15. I collect stuff, play games, do a lot of reading mostly.

I used to be pretty huge into CCG and table top gaming, but got out of it several years ago. I also enjoy reading, researching and studying topics in the bizarre and unusual.

I used to do a lot of art until I had a bad accident and pretty much ruined my hand. Right now my attention is on building my very own Bat-cave.

  16. Occultism is a lot larger than just Witchcraft, and overall I am very interested in it with some "dabbling" here and there and a lot of research on different subjects and topics. But going by just your question, which is Witchcraft in and of itself... I don't see an issue with it. I've known plenty of people into witchcraft, several members of Wicca and even a couple into more satanic and disturbing stuff that I personally found a bunch of crap. Paganism has always fascinated me in many of its forms, since I am a strong believer in nature and having a connection to it. I do not actively practice it at the moment, but have been privileged to attend gatherings and have witnessed certain things.

I have also learned to be very cautious what i say in regards to these kinds of topics.
