  1. LOL I don't even know where my list is.

-I really admire Blue. He's funny, witty, and both intelligent and analytic. Even when he's disagreeing with you, you support his statement, cause they're that well-written xD

-Feld0 is the greatest, most professional owner/administrator of a fan-related site I've ever seen, and at such a young age, I truly think he'll grow up to some amazing things. I'm so jelly.

-Many of the other staff like Zoop and Apple Bloom are cut from the same crop as Feldy. So kudos to you folks too. Feldy chose a magnificent and dedicated staff, so thanks for this place.

-ProjectRKA, everything from their avatar, to skills, to personality is awesome. Definitely worthy of the title '20% cooler'.

-Shankveld speaks their mind, but unlike most people I've ever met online, who speak their mind in a way that is uncaring of people's feelings, and therefore make me want to throttle them, she does it in a polite, friendly way. In other words she's Applejack honest, but not murderously honest. Well-done. Some faith in humanity is restored.

    But seriously,

-Hayzelestia because they seem very mature, and have one of the best ask me topic personas', as Celestia, in the forum.

  2. I'm all for it, but they need to have more beef to the sandwich. 'Try this, fail, try this, fail, try this, fail' would get old tediously quickly. So some personal problems, other issues and other new characters to be used would be nice. For me, I'd still like the three of them to interact with their sisters/sisterly-like-figure in Scoot's case here and there when needed, but not so much the other characters. So maybe a new series in the sense of a spin-off, but still located in Ponyville and such, just an entire focus around the three of them.

  3. To me, where here parents are doesn't really matter. Nothing horribly awful, as the previous few posts have mentioned, the show would never go that far. In my opinion, I want her to develop a stronger sense of sisterhood with Rainbow Dash, as that surrogate relationship is a very unique one, and basically the only one that's continually been touched upon throughout the show, of which has also been mentioned from the official wiki, and from the creators themselves.

The essence of a home is where you are wanted and ultimately loved, not a specific location with specific people. To me, that ideal should show through with the advancement of the two pegasi's relationship.

  4. Not online. In person. Even if it's subtle, is there anything about the show that's made you do or think about altering the way you act to certain other individuals in your life? Whether that be friends or family. I got the idea from a very emotional Luna and Celestia video that I shared in the master video thread. I chatted with it on an individual basis with Hayze, of which she had already seen. We briefly talked about it.

So what about everyone else? What sort of impact has it made on you? Do you have any siblings that you've thought about thanks to the shows' several pairs of siblings, or maybe the outgoing personalities of some of the character have gotten you to do the same. Anything at all, as long as it has to do with your interactions with others, irl.

Lastly, if a topic like this already exists, can the moderator kindly merge the topics, and edit my post to have all the text after this paragraph, instead of just locking this thread? I searched but didn't find anything directly related to this.

    Here's my little story:

To me, the unspoken surrogate sister relationship between Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash best fits mine with my sister, for a multitude of reasons. She's ten and I'm nineteen in a few weeks. Sometimes it's hard to find things we enjoy doing together because of the bizarre kid to young teenage-adult age difference, but there are some things. She's always looked up to me, and is always interested in what I'm doing, and if there are times she can simply hang out. Sometimes she even likes to come in and draw while I lazify myself and play video games. In that admiring sense, she is a lot like Scootaloo.

In the past, I on the other hand, often forget that, and end up ignoring or brushing her off. Like Rainbow tends to take Scootaloo for granted. Or at the very least, treating that time she wants to do something as not that important. It doesn't help that we have very different personalities. She's outgoing, I'm not in the least.

However, I've been trying a lot more in the last two months to try and acknowledge that time more, and do the offering myself, not just waiting for her to come to me. I feel I could do more, and I want to, so we'll just have to wait and see what else I can come up with.

  5. She loves Rarity, don't rustle her jimmies.

Blonde wrath will befall all who insult Lady Rarity in front of the Shank XD

*buys two tickets back onto the on topic train*

And again, we have another awesome person who used best pony as a term for endearment only. Go SBB64~

Welp, welcome to le board new pony. Hope you enjoy your stay, stay active, have fun, all that jazz. You appear to be a Dashie fan, or at least cooler enough by 20% to have her in your first post, and as an avatar. Brohoofs for you.

  7. Ello new pony. Advice you say? You have a problem in need of solving? Ask le mods, they are omnipresent. They'll help you.

Welcome to the board and enjoy yourself <3

  8. Obv by name alone I disagree with the argument for disbanding the whole best pony thing lol But I've always seen the whole "best pony" thing as harmless and not actual war waging on other ponies or people who disagree. Saying 'blank' is besy pony is just the fandom's way of saying 'blank' is (posters) favorite pony. :) It can get out of hand yes, but provided people keep in mind love and tolerate it's honestly a harmless fight between fan love for ponies.

Even without your post content, your username having posted in this particular thread made me chuckle xD And yup, I agree with your points.

  9. One other thing I'd like to rant on about on this topic, is the fact that ideally, there are two types of supporters. There are the fanboys who will live and die to defend their favorite character from any and all attacks, regardless of what they are. It's these people who cause the major fights and drama, because these, in lay-mans terms, are fightin' words. People see ignorance when people do those sort of things, and they should.

Ideally, you should love your pony for their good traits, as well as their bad traits, knowing that they can improve upon them as they mature. For example, I love Dashie because she's adorable, funny, awesome and can pull of all sorts of situations in different ways, but I also like her because she can be immature, and because she can be a hothead who competes for number 1, and because she can sometimes sound brash and rude (albeit, I'll gladly argue to anyone that, most of the time, she's not trying to sound like a jerk). When people see that you're mature enough to fully acknowledge, hell, even appreciate your favorite characters' flaws, then they're far more likely to return the favor. I can understand why people don't like Dash, because her negative traits are not for everyone, and I can see why people would dislike her due to them, and that's perfectly okay. We as humans look for the good and bad because it's how we ourselves are, which leads back to the whole 'this show is so goddamn realistic' aspect. Just like with people in real life, some people have friends that you don't like, but that doesn't inherently make them a bad person.

Anyway, the main point is, for me, the term 'best pony' is more so a way of saying 'Dashie is my favorite, hnnng she's so cute cuddly adorable awesome <3', and nothing more, just like ThatOnePwny said earlier on page one.

I agree to this. Though there are overrated ponies.

    'Overrated' is an opinion.

'Advertised more and pushed in the face of people outside the fandom' is however more of a fact. Dash and Pinkie are pushed on shirts and media more than the other four, and that's reality. Whether you personally find such a thing to mean that the character is 'overrated' is an individual opinion, though.

  11. Yup, as I mentioned in another topic. Fans of one pony are never going to see how fans of another pony like that pony, when they themselves dislike that pony. It's like a convention, and everyone brings their fave ponies, sitting on a platform, sitting and waiting for the chance to denounce other people's claims about them. Utterly pointless.

  12. While she may be arguably the most powerful pony in Equestria, I do not think she or Luna are goddesses.

It's actually been stated by Faust herself that they are not deities of any kind, so you're correct.

My vote goes to she one day found her destiny, and worked at it, and, being a powerful alicorn, one day was able to raise the mighty sun using her magic all on her own, thus marking her fitness to be a ruler. That is probably when she got her cutie mark.

  13. 'Divine flight skills are pointless if you can't form a teamwork with your partners that is both effective and maintainable. The Wonderbolts are fully aware of Dash's skill as a flyer, however the fact is she still looks out for number one as a passion, let alone bothering to try and work on her teamwork. She can also be a hothead who is overly competitive. It's not a question of skill; Dash can easily match or even surpass members of the Wonderbolts. No, it is a question of maturity and willingness to be a part of a functional team, instead of trying to be number one.'~Paraphrased from some guy on DeviantART of whom I forgot the name

As we saw in the Mare Do-Well episode, Dash has a massive ego that she loves to have stroked. She learned her lesson from that, but that doesn't suddenly mean she's a veteran elite at teamwork, and putting the good of the team before your own individual glory. I have little doubt Dash will make it to the Wonderbolts some day, but I think she's still a little young, and a little immature to be a part of it. Just looking at Spitfire, who is a lot like Dash, yet she demonstrates maturity and easy-going attitude that surpasses Dash easily.

As a side note, this is just one of the many other similarities I draw between Dash and Naruto Uzumaki from the Naruto anime, whom also had the issue of 'do everything yourself over teamwork', and whom, like Dash, is also an extroverted hothead who is loyal to his friends.

Honestly this thread has no substance, guys. I'd be surprised if this isn't toast once a mod or admin sees it .3. There's pointless fun, and then there's mindless spam. The later, Omnipony has said he doesn't approve of xP
