Thanks for the brohoofs, my friend!
How have you been lately? You seemed very quiet with the brohoofs for the past couple of weeks.

I guess it may be a potential reason (or a reason along those lines), but there were some side characters who appeared a couple of times in that season, including Gabby, Terramar and Mudbriar.
I felt the same way with EqG too, initially. Even though the movies were still great, I think the specials were much better in the end. I also found the shorts quite interesting too – there were a couple in the mix that I found engaging! As for my opinion on Sunset, I'd also prefer her to stay in the human world. Considering that Sunset is like the Twilight for the human world (well, I think Sunset is more of the lead character here than Sci-Twi, but that's my perspective ), I would very much like it if she and her friends stay with each other, rather than what they did with Twilight and Spike in the finale in FiM. Yeah, with their decision on making G5 link with G4, I think there is the potential to continue with the EqG series, which I really hope they do in the end.

That's true. Speaking of Gabby, I wonder why we never saw her in the future scenes in the finale. A lot of people probably disagree with me, but I thought Spike and Gabby were adorable together in "Dragon Dropped" – I like that ship better than Spike and Rarity.
The shorts were nice, though I wish there had been slightly longer ones too. The music videos were amazing, I preferred them to most of the songs in the later seasons of FIM (another slightly controversial MLP opinion I have). Sunset being more of a lead character than Sci-Twi is something I agree on, especially considering that Sci-Twi wasn't even there from the start, and we had a lot of focus on Sunset in the specials. Let's hope they do continue it!

My guess is because the Spike and Gabby ship is quite uncommon in the fandom and it never had the chance to be explored much in the show. The Spike and Rarity ship existed since Season 1 of FiM, whilst they only introduced the Spike and Gabby ship towards the end of the series. I'll be honest, I'd never expect those two to be an official ship since I don't recall seeing Spike and Gabby together in previous episodes, though how they came to know each other does make sense when it was mentioned in "Dragon Dropped". But I do agree with you that this ship with Gabby is very adorable!
Yeah, they really outdid it with the music videos in EqG (one of my personal favourites is So Much More to Me – once I heard it for the first time, I knew I had to play a piano cover of it )! Actually, I do agree with that controversial MLP opinion of yours. It's another reason why I hope they continue with EqG – for the amazing songs!
