@MARSOC Elias paused for a moment, something felt wrong. He glanced up at the sign above his section hoping he was wrong. 'ADULT' it read, "That cheeky bastard..." he chuckled and set down the book he was previously going to toss down the hole. "Scratch that Ozzie, false alarm!! He shouted before closing the circle. "Now where is the real good stuff?" He asked himself while fishing through his pockets. "Aha!" He said pulling out a matchbook. He liberated a single match from its confines. "Time to show me the way." He said to the unlit match as he placed it on the floor. "ostende mihi viam bibliotheca latent." He murmured and the match floated up to his chest level, spun around a few times then started slowly moving towards the door. "Try that trick again I dare you." He said as he followed the match, this time on his way to the real library.

The lock was easy and soon he began drawing a small circle on a clear spot of the floor inside the obviously restricted section. He waved is paws over the chalk circle and said a few words. "et a porta usque ad domum suam." The floor inside the circle shimmered and disappeared. Instead showing Elias' safe house or more accurately, the floor of the said safe house. "Hey Ozzie, Im gonna need your photographic memory over here. I just hit a goldmine!" He shouted into the hole, waiting for the spirit of knowledge's response.

Elias chuckled, "thanks mate" he said as he made his way to the door. "If I find anything trust me when I say you'll know." Elias walked down the long hallways dodging the frantic rushing around of the guards. Once he made it to the library he shut the door and took out a piece of chalk. He began to draw glyphs all around the door, when he finished he snapped his fingers and a soft blue light covered its surface. "This should give me some time to think." He said to himself as the magical barrier took effect. He navigated the rows of shelves until he came to a section blocked off by a padlocked gate of iron bars. "Here you buggars are." He said while drawing out a pair of lockpicks from one of his coat's many pockets.

"This doesn't seem like our problem luv, it's at least not mine. I hunt demons not contain riots." Elias remarked glancing at legion. "Castle library, where is it?" He asked bluntly.

"So with a lack of a better analogy I'd say you lot were basically neutered." Elias said, understanding what Leigon was explaining to them. "So that explains the vibes I've been getting off you guys, makes a lot more sense now."

"And what pray tell is this truth you're speaking of?" Elias said eyebrow raised.

Elias noticed her behavior "uh luv, I wouldn't if I were you." He said, glancing at the sculpture.

"She means beat it Gold," Elias said with a smirk. He looked at the new arrival, sizing him up, "Elias, Elias Benmasour." He said extending a paw. "And you are?"

"She forced us to make a deal in exchange for the foals she's been abducting. We've technically already broken the agreement since you know about it now, but I doubt she can tell this quickly. Im going to need access to the castle library and archives to find out more information on her. Demons tend to have a long history with us morals. We were supposed to steal a crate from your dungeon, it has 'Northwatch' and 'Calico' printed on the side, that ring any bells?" Elias replied to Luna's question.

"How many times do I have to tell you, I did NOT summon that one!" Elias said annoyed "she just showed up unannounced to cash in on Napoxal's deal. I wouldn't have even given her the time of day if it weren't for the hostages she flaunted."

"Hello again luv" Elias said with a sheepish smile "Let me get a few things straight before Mr. stuckup over there has a chance to talk. I only summoned one demon, and that was strictly in the interest of gaining information. You remember Napoxal right? The other one just decided to show up to make things more complicated." "It does when you're talking to the princess' adopted daughter." Elias remarked

"One, I never summoned that one, she just showed up. Two, Luna knows how I do things. She's even worked with me personally one time or another." Elias said as they walked, "And three, Celesta's cronies don't usually take such a direct role in the matters of the lunar variety. So in addition to your professed hatred of myself, how do you even have any authority in this?" He added, glancing at Gold questioningly.

"Actually, we already have." Elias retorted "Luna has hired me as an independent investigator into what's going on. My methods are none of her business." He said with a smug smile, "but by all means let's pay her a visit if it will get you off my back."

"First we need a little bit more information on who this doe is. Then we get the crate." Elias said to Lory. "However" he turned to Gold "I don't particularly trust you."

@GoldieS "I don't know if you've heard luv, but I'm a nasty piece o work to double cross, suggest you remember that." Elias remarked as she entered her carriage.

"There are two sides to every deal luv, and here's mine. We'll get your crate, in exchange I never have to see your ugly face again and every single one of those kids get set free." Elias said, the seriousness in his voice evident.

"Listen luv I only have a deal with Napoxal. No one else, though it seems you've forced my hand. I'll hear you out."

"Luv I don't know who you are but if you plan on hurtin us, you have made a grave mistake." Elias said, a small glowing red circle of energy hovering in front of his left paw.

"Don't look at me!" Elias said just as confused as Gold. "Listen, I know we don't see eye to eye but if this bugger is hostile, you with me?" He said almost choking on the words as he did so.

"Gold! Been some time since you were snooping around in my business hasn't it." Elias retorted with venom. "And if you mention my brother again there will be no protection spell strong enough to stop me from killing you." "This goes far deeper than you have the capacity to understand. I'm not the purist of hearts out there but if you want to stop this you need me. I've been dealing with these things far longer than you have." "That he is luv, one of their best. These blokes think they can stop evil on their own. Half the time they don't even understand what they're fighting. Plus the leaders of the organization are egotistical bastards who will do anything for power. Good intentions, bad execution."

"I may be a right bastard Lory, but I would never do that." He said, a solem look on his face. Napoxal had vanished during the exchange, leaving them alone on the barren street. He unburied the box and started walking back to the library.

"Fine, I have one of the Rings of Scorcher that I'd be willing to let go of. In exchange for the information I'm seeking." Elias said huffing in frustration, "I don't have it with me right now but I'll summon you again once I get it."

"You shut yer mouth." Elias said with a tone so menacing that even Napoxal faltered. "Trust me luv, where he wants to take you is nowhere nice." He turned back to Napoxal "you know exactly why I brought you here so cut the act. What's going on in hell that would cause so much activity up here. Who's letting you wankers out?"

They made their way down the web of back alleys and side streets they took in the mad dash to the library. Within a few minutes they made it to the remains of the inn, there was much less of a crowd now and only a few ponies were around. Most of them were working to clear up the rubble. Elias walked into the middle of the street and drew a chalk circle, "when these buggers do show I don't want 'em causing any trouble, so I usually contain them within a circle" he said glancing at Lory and Star. "Crossroads demons are some of the deal makers of the underworld. They try to bait you into making deals you'll regret later so if you're not careful these wankers are really dangerous, but I've outsmarted them before." He said before standing up and turning to Lory. "Would you mind breaking that brick in the center please?" Once her pipe made short work of the offending stonework Elias knelt down and dug a small hole with his paws before burying the wooden box. Getting up and quickly backing out of the circle he looks at his two companions "I'll handle the talking ok." He says as they wait for the summon to work. Soon wisps of thick, black smoke plume out of the cracks between the stones inside the circle, the smoke collects together until it starts to form a shape. A black earth pony with two curved horns on either side of it's head. Elias smiled "Napoxal, it's been a while."

"Actually this is a favor for the princesses, Luna saved my life once, so this is me paying her back. Was going to need that pipe of your's anyway, the streets here are paved. Kinda makes it hard to bury a crossroads box doesn't it." Elias says as he makes his way up the stairs "well come on, keep up."
