Applejack

As you continue down the paths toward Sweet Apple Acres, you are met with the sight of the trees changing. While they still have colorful leaves of red, orange, and yellow. You are met with a few apples scattered around the branches. All ready to be picked before the end of the Fall Season. Coming into view, you see a giant red barn, a few fields that have been plowed, animals like pigs, chickens in their pen, crops and more. You then see the sight of an orange furred, yellow mane and tail earth pony. Both of which are done up in a ponytail, as well as her iconic cowgirl hat. It was Sweet Apple Acres and Ponyville’s very own Applejack. Upon seeing your arrival to the farm, the orange earth pony gave a cheer. “Yeehaw! Howdy everypony! I hope that y’all have been enjoying the race and have been staying strong! I don’t recall there being two paths, but this is perfect!” Applejack started, stepping aside as she raised a hoof towards the two paths. “I wish to welcome you to yer next obstacle! Here, we have two paths you can take. At first, we thought it would be best for y’all to do both obstacles in this leg of the race. However, after some deliberation, we came up with a good solution. Instead of everyone taking part in both, we thought to split it up into two. This way, each and every one of you that’s competing can decide which path you wish to take on. On the left, you’ll have to run down the path dodging barrels along the way. Just like how Rainbow Dash and I did when competing in the Iron Pony competition. The rules for that are simple. See how fast you can get from the starting line to the finish. All the while, dodging barrels along the way as you run. This will be a test of your speed and agility.” Applejack explained, gesturing her hoof over towards the other side of the path. “On your right, you’ll have to jump over some hurdles. Three in total and each jump will be increasing in difficulty. Once you go around the track, you’ll have to jump over each hurdle that will show up in your path. Just like when I was training for the Equestrian Rodeo competition. This will be a test of your endurance running along with your jumping ability.” Applejack lowered her hoof, before taking her place back in between the two paths. “All in all, the test you take will be yours to choose and yours alone. Once you choose the path you wish to go down, there’s no turning back. Even so, I know y’all will do amazing! Never forget to have fun, do your best and never give up when things become challenging. It’s like the old saying goes that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Good luck to you all, everypony!” Applejack exclaimed, waving to the racers as they decided which path to choose. OOC: Welcome everyone to your second event! The path has been sit into two. Meaning there are two obstacles, but one for you to choose from! Will you choose the path on the left and dodge some barrels as you run, or will you choose the path on the right and jump over some hurdles? The choice is yours! To overcome either obstacle, you must roll a D20 once more to decide your fate! A roll of 10 or lower will result in a penalty. A 25% decrease on your next roll when racing down the track. An 11 to a 16 will proceed as normal. If you manage to roll a 17 or higher, then a reward will be presented to you! A 50% increase on your next roll when racing down the track. Don’t forget to add your reactions upon what you roll when taking on the obstacle. The effects of your roll will go into effect once you get past the obstacle. Yea-Haw! Howdy, everypony! It's your honest hard working cowgirl, Applejack, wanting to wish ya'll a Happy November! I hope that everypony has been having a wonderful, fun and safe Fall, so far. It's been getting a little chillier with each passing day, but there's still plenty of fun to be had for the season. Spending time with friends, some classic apple bucking, and a time for adventure! However, it's not all about fun, games or even that adventurous spirit. November is a time to spend with family and to feel thankful for the things that we have in our lives. Especially when I spend time with Granny Smith, my siblings Applebloom and Big Mac and even my friends. It's also not just a time to prepare for the Winter season, but a time to reflect. Looking back at this year and preparing for the new year ahead. It's these reasons that I want to make November a time of not only fun, but a time of togetherness, reflecting and thankfulness. There will be some events for everypony to take part in and have loads of fun! Here's to an amazing November and many more Fall memories, everypony!
