I'm happy to see you enjoy G5 so much, my friend!
I may not agree on some of the points you listed (sadly I haven't got into most of the G5 songs), but it's great to see such positivity and appreciation for the new generation. 
Taking G5 as its own thing has made me like it a lot more than I used to – the Mane 6 remain my favorites, but I do like the new gang too. And you already know how much I like Misty – very close to being my favorite villain (even if she's too adorable to be one) taking both generations into account.
I hope you find the rest of G5 just as great, or even better! *hugs*

@Tacodidra 3D Twilight was a bit strange to me too, but it was still awesome seeing her in G5! I seriously hope we get cameos from Celestia and Luna too!

@Tacodidra I loved that episode too! It shows that Opaline has a silly side too! Definitely one of my favorite things about G5 and I hope they keep expanding upon her and her relationship with Twilight!

And like you said, I just view G5 as it’s own thing with new characters and new locations while still paying tribute to the past generation!
Both generations are awesome but like I keep saying, we shouldn’t just ignore this new generation!

@CloudMistDragon I finished FFIII and let me tell you… FFIII was a chore to finish!
I had to grind my head off to get up to LVL 60 so I could comfortably take on the Crystal Palace and I even went through Eureka to get all of the powerful weapons and job upgrades!
But Ninja and Sage jobs were lifesavers in the final boss!
This game was a lot harder than the last time I played it, but I still did it!
