Everyone knows that Celestia is kinda weak right? I have a theory that its because she just makes herself weak OR
HER POWER INCREASES WHEN THE SUN RISES AND DECREASES WHEN THE SUN SETS!!!
Nightmare moon = sun is not present
CHRYSALIS= sun is setting
Discord= too op to fight alone
And honestly discord lost because he underestimated the mane 6.
Tirek= they just gave up andbjust gave it to twilight...
The vines= got captured at night... I dont know whats lunas excuse for getting captured... Oh wait she is in the sleeping realm...
Chrysalis season 6= night time. Because luna gave the message during the sleep realm.
Season 7= not much happened here but still in the dark...
Season 8= they're not unicorns though.... But they still lost it.
Season 9= mehh theres a lot to handle i guess..

She has been rather weak, ever since the season finale of Season 2. Her strongest moments is in Forgotten Friendship, where she shows you don't mess with her feelings. Everypony is scared of her. There is a reason for that.
MLP The Movie, that was her worst moment. She basically took herself out at the first best moment.

I always thought Celestia was naturally more powerful than the average unicorn, but she still needed the Elements of Harmony to defeat the more powerful villains. Without that, some villains could over throw her, and a magical prodigy unicorn could potentially learn to make their magic strong enough to rival alicorn magic.
