    I imagined that G5 was an alternate universe that keeps having things from G4 leak in. I would like if the main cast had an ally that specializes in multiverse leaks or G4 stuff.

    Since the "leak" had been present for a very, very long time, ponies have long been mistaking things G4 things as things that belong to G5. Not even G4 lore and history is safe from that.

    Going on that thought, I imagined that 4-6 years old Misty came from G4 dimension and had accidentally stumbled in G5 dimension, where Opaline found and adopted her.

    Then Opaline manipulated her into forgetting that she came from a different dimension.
