    "You're right, @Samurai Equine. I shouldn't have double tackled you, Roswell ( @TheRockARockster ). I'm sorry." *Shiny apologized to Roswell, while lowering her head. She didn't know what got to her, since she's not even participating to the race. However, it seemed that the stallion was already gone.* "Don't worry, Moonlight ( @Nitobit ), I'll stick with you, until Pinkie Pie retrieves her cannon." *The unicorn then comforted the bat pony.*

    *Without any warning, Shiny tackled Roswell ( @TheRockARockster ), after he tackled Moonlight ( @Nitobit ). She then retrained him as best as she could and for as long as possible.* "TACKLECEPTION!!!" *The mare yelled.* "Moonlight Wane! Quick! Take the cannon! I don't know for how long I'll be able to hold him in place!" *She offered an opening for the bat pony to retrieve what he lost.* "I have no idea why I'm doing this! Your friendship with @Dusk Haven touched me, I guess! Is this what they call the magic of friendship?!"

    *Aware that things were about to become messy, Socrate grasped Moushley with his tiny claws and took off from ( @Nitobit ) Moonlight's back. He held her delicately, as if she was the most precious gem in Equestria, which wasn't wrong from his perspective. The fruit bat flew back with the the mouse to the balloon of @Pinkie Pie and @Starlight Glimmer.*

    "Okie dokie! Have fun trying to survive!" *Shiny responded to Moonlight Wane ( @Nitobit ), while lowering the dome-shaped forcefield around him. @Dusk Haven's sudden teleportation next to the bat pony then took her by surprise.* "Dusk! Be careful to not harm Moonlight too much, if your intention is to steal the cannon!"

    *When Moushley jumped off the balloon to land onto the cannon, Socrate's heart skipped a beat. The fruit bat immediately flew toward Moonlight Wane ( @Nitobit ) who held the Cupcake-inator 3000 with his wings. A sigh of relief escaped from his throat, as he saw the mouse safe on the bat pony's back.* *Socrate landed next to Moushley to give her a tight hug. He was reassured that she was safe and sound.* *Meanwhile, Shiny watched Moonlight Wane run mindlessly in the mud, while protecting Pinkie Pie's cannon from others. With her icy blue magic, she created a dome-shaped forcefield around him. The mare needed to stay focused onto the spell to keep the shield up, since it was a very hard one to cast.* "Stay back, everypony! He saw it first so it's his!" *Shiny yelled to the greedy participants trying to rob the cannon.*

    *Once outside of the obscure part of the forest, Shiny Silvermoon realizes that there is a bog separating the racers from the path. She's not really participating to the race, she's just there to help knock some leaves and aid those who are in need of it. Since she's not bothered by the speed at which she crosses to the other side, she decides to follow @Samurai Equine and go around the muddy pool. While the mare leaps, she takes the opportunity to knock some leaves off the trees.*

    *As @Samurai Equine was trying to figure out a solution to lead the participants of the race to safety, Socrate landed onto Shiny's shoulder and began to scribble something onto his small notepad. Hearing the sound of a pencil roaming over paper, she knew that her pet was trying to tell her something.* *Despite the uncanny darkness that seemed to enable any source of light to exist within this part of the forest, unicorn was able to make her horn glow just enough to read the note. It was one single word.* "Echolocation? You mean the noises that other bat species with lesser eyesight use to find their way in the darkness?" "How is this supposed to help- ooooh! I see what you mean! Pun intended!" *Shiny realized what the fruit bat was trying to tell her.* "Samurai, Socrate had an idea! Instead of using a rope to guide them, they could find their way by following the sound of our voices! By yelling loudly enough, we can get everypony to find their way to us!" *The mare explained to her friend, although she could barely see him because of the obscurity.*

    (OOC : The rope was a magical construct resulting from Samurai's use of a Changeling Berry. So it's not detached, it vanished because the effect wore off. However, I understand your confusion, @PrincessPriscillaPT )

    *Spectator of the dangerous situation in which Shiny was, Socrate pulled out his emergency croissant out of seemingly nowhere, as usual. Right away, he flew to the rescue of his caregiver, literally. The night vision of the fruit bat allowed him to fly through the darkness, between the trunks and other natural obstacles, with ease.* *As he reached @Samurai Equine, who was carrying the mare, Socrate approached the croissant from her snout. The familiar aroma filling her nostrils caused them to twitch actively. All of a sudden, her eyes opened widely and she gasped for air.* "NIGHT VISION!!! Moonlight Wane ( @Nitobit ) should go first because he has a night vision!" *The unicorn finished what she tried to say earlier, before getting hit by a samurai going at full speed. However, it was now too late for this advice to be useful.* "Ooooh! An emergency croissant! My favorite!" *She was quickly distracted by the delicacy carried by her pet. She then caught it with her mouth.*

    *Socrate felt like his heart was about to explode, when Moushley ( @Samurai Equine ) requested his aid and called him "sweetie" in squeaks. He immediately began to flap his bat wings which allowed him to hover above the ground. His feet then carefully grasped her orange sweater, before they both started their flight.* *The duo of pets rode the breeze, getting further and further in the sky, until they reached the balloon. They then landed onto it, joining @Starlight Glimmer and @Pinkie Pie.* "WAIT!!! MOONLIGHT ( @Nitobit ) SHOULD GO FIRST HE HAS NIGHT VIS-" *Before she could finish her sentence, @Samurai Equine bumped into Shiny who was standing in front of the hole sliced through the wall of thorns. It must have been due to the lack of visibility that he didn't see the unicorn and he must have been too far away to hear her instructions. Misfortunately, the impact propelled her into the darkness and knocked her out. The mare was now unconscious, little birds comically floating around her head, and lost somewhere in the middle of the obscurity.*

    @Silverspark184 @Samurai Equine @Iridescent Edge @PrincessPriscillaPT @TheRockARockster @Nitobit @Wizard *As the participants (and Shiny) finally pierced an hole big enough for a pony to fit, into the wall of vines, she saw a light on the other side. The light was at a certain distance away on the track. Strangely, it was nearly impossible to see the path on the other side and her horn wasn't working anymore, for unknown reasons. This meant that all the participants would have to slowly make their way toward the light.* *Before anypony could rush to the other side of the hole, which excluded @Dusk Haven, Shiny yelled to warn everypony about the danger.* "GUYS!!! I have a good news and a bad news! The good news is that we can now reach the other side of the wall and so the race is up again! The bad news is that the race is down because some dark magic is making everything well… dark… and my horn doesn't make light anymore!" "Fortunately, there's an eerie light that I 100% trust for no particular reason, at a certain distance! We should all hold hooves to form a line, in order to not get lost in the obscurity, while we make our way to the light!" *The mare then extended her hoof toward the rest of the group, waiting for somepony to take it.*

    Dear Princess Priscilla,

    Today I learned that plastic toys are made of petrol which is the result of the dinosaurs' decay. Therefore, plastic dinosaurs are actual dinosaurs! :pinkiecrazy:

    However, I digress! What I truly wanted to tell you is that your banner for the MLP Forums is marvelous! It's rare that we get the chance to see Spike represented with his wings! :catface:

    *Socrate's eyes became heart-shaped, when receiving an hug from Moushley. He then had a vision of the mouse and himself leaping through of field of wildflowers, while holding paws and wings. Then, the fruit bat saw himself tangled with her inside a gondolas, while a pony with a mustache and a beret was rowing. Finally, he imagined a romantic diner with a spaghetti plate for two.*

    I absolutely ADORE it! Did I ever mention that my favorite events are roleplay events? Just a personal preference that I wanted to out loud. No, seriously, all the events are awesome, just like the event coordinators making them!

    "Exactly! There's so many topics to discuss about! Like, if you happened to retire from being the Element of Magic and Derpy was chosen to replace you, would I get my eyes crossed, instead, during the Pink Moon? There's so many questions to answer!" *Shiny exclaimed with an excitement equal to Twilight's own. Her hooves were repeatedly pounding the floor.* *After Skylight's intervention, the unicorn calmed herself down a little.* "Accurate. The Pink Moon take place every so often so Twilight and I could spend them together, in the futur. However, it's not often that I get the chance to visit the Changeling Hive! As much as I would like to shut myself into a library with the Princess of Friendship, we must make the best of our time here."

    *Meanwhile, far away from all the action, Shiny's pet, Socrate, was spending time with Moushley, @Samurai Equine's pet. The fruit bat was mainly staring at the mouse, in a state of trance, while small hearts were floating around him. Suddenly, he heard the voice of a vendor selling cheeses to the crowd of spectators.* "Swiss Cheese! Bri! Gouda! Buy some cheese!" *The stallion was yelling, while carrying a set of cheeses in a wooden box hanging to his shoulders by a leather band.* *An idea emerged into Socrate's mind, after hearing the vendor. He scribbled something on his notepad, before quickly flying toward him to land on his shoulder. He then showed to him the piece of paper and dropped a coin. In return, the stallion gave him a slice of Swiss Cheese with holes.* *Once the transaction was over, the fruit bat went back to his secret crush to offer her the slice of cheese.*

    *Shiny's interaction with @Dusk Haven was interrupted by the wall of vines and thorns blocking their path. Her eyes widened, as she noticed the several ponies stuck in the obstacle.* "Mother of Luna! What is that?! We are fairly far away from the Everfree Forest so those sort of structures shouldn't be here! Did it just emerged from the ground, without warning?! Okay, there's clearly someone who wants to cause harm to us! But who?" *The mare quickly strung one sentence after another, as thoughts were wrestling in her mind.* *However, it wasn't the right time for questions so she pushed them aside, in a corner of her mind, to focus on the ponies stuck in the vines. Without further ado, the unicorn swallowed one of the changeling berries, at her disposal.* "Let's see if I'll add another transformation to my already too long list!" *It was meant to herself but she said it out loud.* *Suddenly, she felt an odd sensation on her flank which leaded her to discover that the silver crescent moon of her cutie mark had vanished. Loud screams escaped from Shiny's mouth.* "THE CRESCENT MOON ON MY CUTIE MARK!!! IT'S GONE!!! THERE'S ONLY THE TWO-TAILED SHOOTING STAR LEFT!!!" *The mare's screams abruptly came to a stop, when a larger version of the silver crescent appeared in her hoof.* "Oh! There you are! Who gave you the permission to go out! Your mother has been so worried because of your irresponsible actions!" *She scolded the inanimate object, before throwing it, out of anger.* *Alike a boomerang, the crescent moon sliced through some vines and then returned into her hoof. She didn't even throw her in the direction of the vines but, somehow, it knew where to go. It gave an idea to the unicorn who started throwing it randomly. Each time she did, vines were severed which liberated many of their misfortunate prisoners.*

    *While @Dusk Haven was plunged in her deep reflections, a gleeful mare caught to her and was now leaping next to her.* "Howdy, again! It seems like we don't have to worry anymore about getting ourselves lost, with the help of Pinkie Pie!" *Shiny exclaimed to the alicorn, while a trail of cupcakes, that she had caught in mid hair, followed them, engulfed by the unicorn's magic.* "I couldn't help but notice that you were talking to yourself! I often do that too, when nopony is watching! But sometimes it's because I'm having a chat with the Moon!" *She explained to Dusk with a silly smile.* "Anyway! Would you mind for a cupcake? I bet you could use a sweet treat baked with love! It would be a shame, if all those went to waste! I mean, baking so many cupcakes must not have been… a piece of cake." *The mare winked to her, as she offered a cupcake.*

    *Shiny Silvermoon's cheeks took on a pink color from hearing @Samurai Equine's praising words.* "I'm honored to be considered amazing by a heroic warrior such as yourself…" *She responded to him with a lilt of shyness, while they were running.* *All of a sudden, she was hit by something going at high speed which fell from the sky. The mare was then propelled into the Japonese's hooves by the force of the impact. Her entire body felt weak and her vision blurred, as the cold was taking over. A red liquid was covering the point of impact, on her head.* "I think this is it, colonel… It's a lethal blow at the head, nopony can get away with this…" *Shiny's eyes were half-lidded and her breaths were growing louder by the seconds.* "War… War never changes. Colonel, promise me that you'll get those brave soldiers to safety…" *The unicorn weakly begged Samurai Equine, before being interrupted by a cough. She then took out, from her mane, a picture of a polar bear holding a croissant-shaped puppet in it's paw.* "Good bye, Bearpolar. Good bye, Croissanto." "I… I can see the light… I see the liiiiight… Wait… This is just the blinding glow of your horn, Samurai!" *She ran a hoof onto the point of impact and gathered some cake batter into it.* "This is just cake with a cherry filling! Well, shiver me timber! I ain't going to disalive!" *The mare immediately bounced away from the Japonese's arms and began to leap again with a huge smile, as if nothing happened.*

    "I'm coming with you, Samurai! I, myself, had to face dangerous foes in the past! This includes a red-skinned giant centaur with big horns! So I'm not to afraid of whoever is behind all this!" *Shiny said to @Samurai Equine, while pretending to crack her fingers, although she doesn't have any.* "Oh! Iridescent! You look frozen! You should stay here with Dusk, while we search for the participants lost in the woods! Please, have yourself an hot chocolate!" *The unicorn said to @Iridescent Edge, concerned about his condition. She then gave him one of the hot chocolates provided by @Silverspark184 Silverspark and Brightspark.*

    "Let's lead those ponies to somewhere safe! I'm following you, @Samurai Equine! I will add the glimmer of my own horn to yours! It will keep us warm and enlightened!" *Shiny Silvermoon declared, as she began to leap at a surprisingly fast pace, which reminds of the precious Running or the Leaves.*
