  1. It might make sense if we didn't see Twilight and other Mane 6 members as campers.
  2. Maybe Twilight stumbled into the Fallout: Equestria timeline. Any survivors are in Stables, or are either mutants or Lost Lands Ponies (as presented in Dark Skies Over Equestria for the My Little Pony Roleplaying Game).
  3. I have no idea. Maybe Hasbro didn't approve of the leak! The story might be out-of-date and obsolete.
  4. The page that I linked to had been archived. Here's another link discussing it:
  5. I don't know what this means for 2026. I'm guessing that there'll be no new animation or toys from Hasbro, but maybe IDW will have some new comics. The next Renegade Con is streaming on YouTube in just over a week (June 6) so there might be reveals for the My Little Pony Roleplaying Game or the My Little Pony Deck-Building Game. We're about due.
  6. By rights this should fall under a G6 sub-forum, but we don't have one yet. EQD's Sethisto posts: EDIT: Note that Equestria Daily is quoting from an article by IMG (formerly International Management Group) that was originally posted last year (16 July 2024).
  7. The Arkham series of Batman games and Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2.
  8. Bat pony wings at rest are always a challenge, aren't they? Is her (their) name Impactela?
  9. The Kelpies in the FiM comics aren't so dark.
  10. Without any conclusive evidence otherwise, I do think that Cozy Glow really is a filly with some skewed ideas about friendship. The question for me is how she got that way. She might be from Thracia (from the MLP:FIM comics) but all the Thracian ponies we've seen seem to be Earth Ponies.
  11. The book Dark Skies Over Equestria, an expansion for Renegade Game Studios' My Little Pony Roleplaying Game (which also introduced the Changelings into the game), has its own entry for Kelpies like Cassie from the comic My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic issue #23. I did write homebrews for both the Sea-dwelling Kelpies and the Kelpies of Farasi using Renegade's Essence20 rules, if you are interested in seeing them. Here is the entry from the book (plus another panel from the coimic): Kelpie Kelpies are pony-like aquatic creatures known for their powerful, enchanting song. While they are generally peaceful, they prioritize the needs of water creatures, which can lead to conflicts with land creatures. Kelpies can leave the water for short times, but prefer not to if they can avoid it. Kelpies have the head and mane of a pony but a serpentine body with four fins in their backs. They are clever and able to talk in pony language if they choose to. THREAT LEVEL: 5 SIZE: Common HEALTH: 2 MOVEMENT: 10ft Ground, 45ft Aquatic STRENGTH: 5 SPEED: 4 SMARTS: 4 SOCIAL: 3 TOUGHNESS: 15 EVASION: 14 WILLPOWER: 14 CLEVERNESS: 13 SKILLS • Acrobatics +d4 • Alertness +d6 • Athletics +d4 • Initiative +d4 • Might +d6 • Performance +d6 • Survival +d2 PERKS Aquatic Creature: While in a body of water, a kelpie is more dangerous, upshifting all Strength Skill Tests by ↑1. ATTACKS Bite (Might): +d6, Range Reach (1 sharp damage) Tail Smash (Might): +d6, Range Reach (2 blunt damage) POWERS Enchanting Song (1/Scene, Standard): Kelpies can sing a magical song that dominates the mind of those who hear it. The kelpie makes a Performance Skill Test and anyone hearing it who’s Willpower is lower than the result is affected. The song implants a single idea in the minds of those affected by it, such as ‘protect the kelpie’ or ‘break the damn’. After a night of rest the affected creature can shake off the affects by making a DIF 14 Alertness Skill Test. They can also attempt to shake off the affects if another character can convince them what they are up to is wrong. Note that while the song is powerful, it cannot make someone hurt themselves or act directly against their nature (as defined by the GMs discretion).
  12. Friendship is Magic had three kinds of Kelpies, all in the comics. This might help: Cassie the Kelpie Cassie the Kelpie created by Jeremy Whitley (writer) and Amy Mebberson (artist) Typical Equestrian Kelpie Body: D8 Mind: D6 Charm: D6 Stamina: 14 Talents: Special Skill: Singing (D6), Special Skill: Swimming (D8) Quirk: Restricted to water, Choose one Typical Sea Kelpie Body: D6 Mind: D6 Charm: D6 Stamina: 12 Talents: Speak with Animals: Fish (D6), Special Skill: Swimming (D8) Quirk: Restricted to water, Choose one Kelpies are water-dwelling creatures that live in rivers, lakes and the sea. Their physical appearance can vary wildly. Cassie, the fresh-water Kelpie who almost drowned the residents of Ponyville had the head and mane of a pony, a long snake-like body, an eel-like tail, and four frond-like fins with matching spines on her back. Kelpies who live among other creatures (such as the Zebra of Farasi) can have a very Pony-like appearance. Sea-dwelling Kelpies more closely resemble Seaponies with scaly torsos, and live in the undersea city of Coltlantis. Fresh-water Kelpies possess Cutie Marks; sea-dwelling Kelpies do not seem to have them. Kelpies can be very protective of the bodies of water where they live and of the creatures that dwell in them. Some possess a Hypnotizing Song. If such a Kelpie feels that it or its home is threatened, it can attempt to use its Hypnotizing Song to place any Ponies within hearing under its control either to send them away or otherwise do as it commands. New Talent: Hypnotizing Song (Kelpies only) When a creature with this talent feels threatened it will attempt to use its song to place any Ponies within hearing range under its control. This talent only works on intelligent creatures, not on ordinary animals. Kelpie, Farasi Typical Farasian Kelpie Body: D6 Mind: D6 Charm: D6 Stamina: 12 Talents: Water Control (D6), Pick one appropriate Cutie Mark talent. Quirk: Weakness: Electricity (D6) , Choose one The Kelpies of Farasi look very much like Earth ponies made of water. As Zecora's old schoolteacher explained: "Kelpies have magic that allows them to manipulate water. They can control it with their minds, and can change their bodies from water to ice to steam". Electricity is harmful to Farasian Kelpies, but they also become weak if they are away from water for too long.
  13. Here you go! Post if you think there's a quirk that all Fllutterlings should possess and I'll revise this to reflect it. Flutterlings (created by IdkAmuseMe a.k.a. BurnoutArtist3000) Typical Flutterling Body: D6 Mind: D6 Charm: D6 Stamina: D12 Talents: Fly (D6), Choose one between Absolute Empathy*: (D6) or Persuasive Empathy** (D6), If applicable pick one appropriate Cutie Mark talent Quirks: Choose one Flutterlings are usually small in height but can be pony-sized. They usually live in areas with lots of flowers since they're butterfly-based, but can live in areas without a lot of plants as long as there are a couple of flowers nearby. Flutterlings live mainly live in the Undiscovered West. They are distant cousins to Changlings, experiments that were left in the West for their safety. They've mixed with other species over time, though with travelers, some have left the Undiscovered West to live in the outside world. Their powers align with emotions. However, instead of eating them, they manipulate them. Some Flutterlings have cutie marks if they have ponies in their bloodline. * New Talent: Absolute Empathy: The ability to sense and understand the emotions and intentions of others at an intense and profound level. Make a successful test of your Mind versus your opponent's Charm. ** New Talent: Persuasive Empathy: The ability to influence and manipulate the emotions and thoughts of others, persuading them to align with the character's desires or change their perspectives. Make a successful test of your Mind versus your opponent's Mind.
  14. In game terms, I'd say that a Flutterling, at first level, should start with either one of the special talents (in addition to some other talent of their choosing) with the ability to choose to gain the other at a higher level. I'm guessing that Flutterlings generally do not have cutie marks and so do not normally gain Cutie Mark talents. Please correct me if I am mistaken! And if made a write up for Flutterlings, under what name would you like to be credited?
  15. Flutterlings sound great! Do they have there own unique magic or any shape-shifting abilities similar to Changelings? I've found that the Tails of Equestria tabletop role-playing game is useful for developing a description for a new race for Equestria. There's also the current My Little Pony Roleplaying Game from Renegade Game Studios, but that has much more complex rules by comparison and would require a lot more work. As an example, here is my Tails of Equestria version of the Adaba (from the Season 10 comics): Typical Abada Body: D6 Mind: D6 Charm: D6 Stamina: D12 Talents: Nimble (D6), Pick one appropriate Cutie Mark talent Quirks: Choose one Abada are intelligent creatures native to Farasi, the zebra lands far east of Equestria, across the Celestial Sea. They resemble tall, lean Unicorns with a curved horn on their foreheads and with a second horn on their muzzles. Colorful stripes mark their chests and upper legs while their tails resemble the tail of a donkey or boar. Abada have their own cutie-mark magic that gives them talents like great speed or the ability to communicate with plants. The Creatures on the far right are Farasi Kelpies. Quirks in ToE are basically disadvantages. A player-character starts out with at least one quirk (like an allergy, a fear, a temper, etc.), but giving the character an extra quirk will allow them to start with one extra talent.
  16. Flutter-pony? Are they pony-size? Small? Tiny? Is the reason that they have been unknown because they live in the Undiscovered West? Or maybe they're from the eastern continent, beyond Griffonstone. There is also a location called Kirin Grove, south of Dragon's Lair (the Dragon Lands). You can find it on the map for My Little Pony: The Movie or on the expanded map below:

  19. There are definitely lands in the world of Friendship is Magic that needed to be explored more. Not only the Undiscovered West (which was allegedly where some of the villains were from in the Season 10 comics) but also the lands to the East beyond Griffonstone and the Dragon Lands.
  20. The video was cute, but I don't think that Camp Cutie Mark would be sustainable for multiple seasons. It's too limited and makes complete hash out of any sort of G4/G5 continuity. CCM would have to be aimed at preschoolers. If Hasbro wants to aim at any kind of broader demographic, they need to take a different approach, and from my understanding, they are now looking at a complete re-branding.
  21. I'm not starting a new thread for this, but Renegade will be at Gen Con 2025 (July 31 - August 3, Indiana Convention Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN). No My Little Pony events have been announced; any MLP role-playing game events (if there are any) will be ticked events.
  22. Details have been released for the next Renegade Con: Check out the schedule here.
  23. Greetings and felicitations! Welcome to the MLP Forums.
