  1. Superman (2025) I know that I'm going to get flack for this but: Best Superman movie ever (no disrespect to the fans of Christopher Reeve)! Nicholas Hoult is now my favorite Lex Luthor after Clancy Brown (DC Animated Universe).
  2. "Things need not have happened to be true. Tales and dreams are the shadow-truths that will endure when mere facts are dust and ashes and forgot."
  3. There's also a live-action adaptation released in 2009.
  4. I hope it was better than the original English-language dub, Godzilla vs.the Smog Monster.
  5. G4 has been getting a lot more attention from licensees than has G5, but we shall see. We don't know what those TY Beanie Bouncers will look like yet.
  6. K-Pop Demon Hunters Watched this because my spouse was interested. Honestly, better than I expected. It just occurred to me what the high-concept pitch might have been for this: Jem and the Holograms meets Sailor Moon!
  7. Nope! And it won't hit another prime number until 2027.
  8. Maybe because of expectations for an announced "sequel" to Friendship is Magic. The show might have been better off if any connection to the previous series had been severed.
  9. Biblical allegory starts entering conspiracy territory when it stops being presented as allegory.
  10. If there was a firmament arching over the sky then it would surely be detectable. Let's not enter the province of flat-earthers and conspiracy theorists. However, your last notion of advanced forms of communications is interesting. Some form of tachyon communication might make it possible to at least exchange data with distant galactic civilizations at faster-than-light speeds.
  11. Sorry, I've never played BattleTech (or MechWarrior for that matter). The closest I've come is when I had a mech pilot character for Palladium's Rifts.
  12. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind if we want to count it as a Ghibli film. If not then Princess Mononoke.
  13. I think, perhaps, that higher civilizations are separated too far both in space and time to easily encounter each other. We might spot signs of a Dyson Sphere around a star tomorrow only to find that the civilization has been extinct for thousands of years. Even if their not, meaningful communication might be impossible, what with signals needing to take centuries or more to reach each other.
  14. Probably the Doctor Hooves t-shirt that I wear with a pair of pajama pants. I'm actually wearing it right now!
  15. "A mare can be bred multiple times during a heat cycle, typically every other day, and may be bred in a year as many times as she comes into heat."
  16. "I believe I've spent enough time in the company of death.'
  17. Sadly, there were no new My Little Pony tabletop game reveals at today's Renegade Con, either for the role-playing game or the deck-building game. Nor were any expansions revealed for the My Little Pony: Festival of Lanterns tile-placement game. However, I have been assured through an official source that there's more stuff in the works. The next Renegade Con will stream on YouTube in October 2025; hopefully, we'll have better news then! What expansions would you like to see, either for the RPG or the deck-building game? I'd love to see a campaign book for the My Little Pony Roleplaying Game exploring the Undiscovered West or the Eastern Continent past Griffonstone (hmmm, a My Little Pony: Season 10 Sourcebook?). Also, Renegade has yet to release their own sourcebook for the 2017 My Little Pony: The Movie. A School of Friendship Sourcebook might also be welcome!
  18. It's not unusual for artists to use photo references, so It's entirely possible that that was done with this cover. Reprint collections are all well and good, but what I'd really like to see is a graphic novel or miniseries based on the unproduced Equestria Girls season finale.

  20. "No, I can't go in there, I've got a condition - a fear of enclosed spaces. There's a name for it..." "Cowardice?"
