Beautimus! Beautima! Pony Ranger Ponies? Really? Power Ponies! ...Proceed! Well, I don't know if the world has ever seen a Pony Mecha. I am sure the world has already seen a pony mecha, but damned if I know where. Interesting and logical, thank you very much! And here, she is, the MLP Fandom's newest Pony, a story and a face. Just like that. Just like Magic.

Dash. She's abrasive, impulsive, a blow hard, spends so much time rocking to her own music, the wheels on the cassette tape gave out. She gets herself into trouble, she gets the rest of the Mane 6 into trouble. She is further behind on what friendship is than Twilight was at the beginning of the show. She does make progress but it's small and slow. She has an ego worthy of any man and she's terrified of its dignity not being protected. And if it weren't for every single one of these foibles, the show would be too boring to be worth watching. So, thank you RD for singlehandedly making FIM worthwhile for us all, once again you've saved the day all by yourself!

FIM can be at its very best in any of several different modes. One of those modes is just a chill atmosphere, a warmhearted message and accented with a little bit of humor. This episode excels at delivering all of that. It was a touching moment, and sort of exactly what I needed tonight, to see Twilight and Spike return to her old condo and library. Nice touch. It was also neat to learn the story of those three ponies Twilight was too busy SAVING EQUESTRIA to hang out with, all those years ago. Moon Dancer needs to dry up. She took too much coaxing. I've been the type of pony she was for most of this episode. When you're like that and someone like Twilight Sparkle actually bothers to try and connect or reconnect or make amends with you...her stubbornness shows a lot about the subjects she's not studying. Most ponies are not even gonna care. Someone tries sincerely to make up with you, you oughta give it a long, hard and painful thought before you snub the gesture. And no, all the years you might have spent resenting it don't count towards that. Living just in your head isn't truly living. You need a heart, you need to forgive, and you need friends. Life is short, don't waste it. Friends are hard to come by, hang on to them if you can. You wanna be forgiven, how about you forgive? And a heart, is You. You with a capital Y.

Nice! And I will enjoy meeting the new OC whenever they're ready.

I am glad to see that this thread beginning to generate a conversation. Every pony has their favorite Princess, and each of the Four Princesses has their limits. Perhaps it is not a spectacularly good way to govern a kingdom, generally speaking. The Tetrarchy did not work out so well for the Romans, even though they tried it more than once. But they were already done by that point anyways. Watching FIM, I can't help but think that the Equestrian Tetrarchy was just a unique, pivotal moment in time. Princess Celestia had ruled by herself for a very long while after Luna's banishment, and before Princess Cadence or Twilight Sparkle were born or anywhere near coming of age. She seems to have done a good enough job of it. But then Nightmare Moon came back, then the Crystal Empire, then Tirac...it is weird for me to call him Tirek. I don't think that any of the Four Princesses could have managed it alone. Perhaps FIM is trying to remind us of something? And if not, I still find all powerful, all knowing protagonists to be boring and unconvincing. Which Princess you would serve best should be informed by your knowledge of your own nature, both your strengths and your shortcomings.

I don't understand why Princess Celestia would receive any hate, least of all from any Pony who isn't proud to be evil. So what if she holds the keys to power? Some pony has to, and eventually Twilight Sparkle earned that. Blaming Celestia for being born a Princess (if that's even true) is stupid. There, I said it, stupid. No one consciously chooses their birth, it is strictly a matter of cause and effect. Blaming Celestia for being born into power is like blaming someone for, oh! Wait, that is a thing now. Well, as I've said elsewhere, Equestria this place ain't, not by a long shot. Twilight Sparkle is my favorite pony, but if not for a lifetime of Princess Celestia's care, training and protection, Twilight would have lived a life of dry scholarly detachment, eventually her OCD would have caused her problems, and she'd have been in no position to accomplish any of the things she ultimately did. Imao. It's typical, really. It figures.

Note: I ask, which Alicorn Princess would you serve, not who is your favorite, or who do you feel you are most like. For example, I feel that I am most like Princess Twilight Sparkle, but my OC is a sworn EUP retainer of Princess Luna. However, my OC's family stayed loyal to Princess Celestia through all the years of Princess Luna's exile and only returned directly to the latter's service when, thanks to the Mane 6 (that is, Princess Celestia) her banishment ended. Therefore, to truly serve Princess Luna is also serve Princess Celestia. And further, all the world's major religions basically agree that God, the Supreme or the Ultimate Reality is Love. Princess Cadence is certainly a super-powerful Avatara of Love. Is it not true that to serve the Equestrian Monarchy is also to serve Love? What does it mean to serve an Alicorn Princess? Well, there's always the EUP Guards. There are local levels of government all over Equestria that are devolved from Canterlot's suzerainty. There is a vague nobility. There are all kinds of retainers, decorators, dry goods merchants, planners and craftsponies and caterers who all provide their various goods and services to the Princess Alicorns. There are special messengers and envoys. Twilight Sparkle is not Princess Celestia's ONLY student, even if she's the Star (heh-heh). Does your OC serve any of the Alicorn Princesses? Do you? How? And in what capacity? If you are confused or hadn't given it much thought and you want to, go to a place where you will not be disturbed. Put on the music you will find here: Headphones work best. As you listen to the music, sit comfortably, and clear your mind. As you maintain your focus on each of the 4 Alicorn Princesses, using the images provided below, also consider everything that MLP has meant to you, everything FIM has meant to you, and everything that the Mane 6 has meant to you. How does all of that relate to each of the Four Alicorn Princesses, and by serving which of the Four could you best manifest all of that? The group portrait reminds us that the Equestrian Monarchy is composed of nothing but Unity. To serve one is to serve all, but you must serve one to serve all. In the presence of which Alicorn Princess do you find yourself spontaneously becoming your OC? Which Pony Princess gently leads you into Pony Consciousness? Pony Consciousness is Compassionate Consciousness, and we all need that now more than ever.
