  1. Ive caught one of my own. Bad news of a cold but not flu A or B...small comfort. But you're not alone.
  2. Read my new fan fiction here: https://www.deviantart.com/nightskyeup/art/Battle-Ship-Of-DOOMGUY-and-Pinkie-Pie-1257040882 Watch the AMV here: See the Images here: https://www.deviantart.com/nightskyeup/gallery/97560912/the-doomguy-pinkie-pie-battle-ship
  3. Sick. Either this is covid or a monster influenza. Two days of ache, soreness, uncontrollable shivering and no energy at all. This feels like covid.
  4. A brilliant, late episode. We're a long way from The Crystal Empire (S3E1-2), but Princesses Celestia and Luna are still sisters. Immortal Alicorns they may be, but Princesses Luna and Celestia were clearly tired of the job by this point. This jaunt of misadventures was a very satisfying comedy of errors, and a breath of fresh air. I'm not crazy for the episodes that immediately precede it.
  5. Possibly I am...it's not exactly a sequel, but it's not going to be a prequel either. It's not a reboot, because it won't be canon, but it's not a retcon because it hasn't happened yet. But it'll have all the right logos on it, so come and pay money to see it.
  6. Scootaloo's parents are going off to a new job with the Weyland Yutani Corporation, they've found a new creature to study.
  7. This episode delivers more Maud Pie and Mudbriar, for that I can thank it.
  8. I didn't like this episode. I get what it's about the the message it's trying to convey. The old folks in the Apple Clan are annoying in the extreme sometimes. I'm not too worried that a powerful earth spirit could ever be trapped by the likes of the Apples, somehow. Granny Smith and Goldie Delicious spent the whole episode being smug and wagging their tongues. Big Mac was the only one who did any work, and kept getting mixed up in the traps. There's nothing about this episode that was really any fun.
  9. And now, for something completely different! COMING VERY SOON, and in the Spirit of Nightmare Night, and the Fall season generally, check out my amazing new forthcoming fan fiction - Battle Ship: Of DOOMGUY and Pinkie Pie.

The  fully completed story is approximately 30 pages of Demoncidal Mayhem and will be backed up by the simultaneous release of the most touching and ass avasting Shipping AMV ever produced. Don't miss out, stay tuned and prepare for D[emon]-Day!

  10. Any society that does not treasure its children above all else shall fall, that's why Equestria never will. Once Flurry Heart arrived, all was said and done. The ponies were all thereby leveled, up to use an entirely geek term for what actually happened. Opaline Arcana stopped nothing, and from the perspective of magical timescales, her misadventures were ever so brief. Allura also would have failed, and it is telling that she never really got the chance to start causing trouble in earnest. It is yet more telling that Tell Your Tale, before being cancelled, was about to reveal the return of an Alicorn. That much at least, Gen 5 should have been allowed to deliver upon.
  11. Om Fausticorn, Om The Light of Creation! Oh Greatest of All Alicorns! Oh Gentle Authoress of Love made manifest! Oh Jeweler of the Elements of Harmony! Oh Architect of Equestria! Forever may the Goodness of Thy Works Echo, Ever forward, all the way back to no first beginning! Mayst It Be!
  12. That's powerful magic right there, but in friendliest possible way. I can't imagine making my visual art without it in the background.
  13. Hoof to Heart my Friends, we are all the children of her wonderous imagination!

  14. Yes and no. My own personal fan's head canon and its constellation of AUs have a complex relationship to the primary canon of the show. I like to keep my own ideas and stories respectful of the original. I also prefer to stick to things that at least could have happened in the primary canon. Not always. I have some pretty left field AUs, as we all do. I suppose what you're seeing and reading here is more of a meditation upon an icon. Trixie, like all ponies, represents certain ideas and figurations...important ones. I'm celebrating that. That's mainly what this is.
  15. The All-Powerful Trixie!

Come friends, and behold the amazing magic of the great and powerful Trixie.

Trixie's intentions were never in the wrong place, deep down.

If she had fallen into the trap of becoming a charlatan, it was because at first she lacked the confidence to believe that she could ever truly embody the magic that had so profoundly inspired her.

Her self-doubt was erroneous, and after several trips to Ponyville, after a few run-ins with Twilight Sparkle, and another pony named Starlight Glimmer, everything changed for the better in Trixie's life.

She was always a unicorn, she was always gifted with magic, and she always had the desire to share the wonderment with ponies everywhere.

She can be ethically ambiguous, sometimes tone deaf to the feelings of other ponies around her, and perhaps she does not learn from the past quickly, or consider the future carefully enough.

Had we bonked her on the head with the scepter of righteousness, had we punished her for the problems she did cause in an unimaginative fashion, and had we banned her from ever returning, all would have been lost.

Would Starlight Glimmer, Thorax and Discord still have been able to triumph over Queen Chrysalis without Trixie's help?

I've learned that whenever a wagon like Trixie's rolls into town, I must follow the flyer, show up at the gathering, peruse the vendors, and watch the show.

Without the magic of the great and powerful Trixie Lulamoon, Equestria would have been impoverished, and so would we here in the human world.

  17. I have many Keepsakes and Trinkets and Baubles that mean a great deal to me. I recently got an autographed poster and backstage pass from a concert I went to, for example.
  18. Fancy is finally releasing the update that will bring Escape The Backrooms out of early release, this will be on the 23rd. I can't wait. My brother and some friends and I are going to go at it as a team!
  19. Endings are painful, but they are not everything. You will reach a point where you can see how they cannot be untangled either from beginnings, nor even from this present moment. Everything has always been, always is, and always will be exactly what is in front of you right now. All of it, the past, the present and the possible hope of a future, it is all in you, in this moment. While you yet live, live. Just breathe every breath as though your life depends upon it, which of course it does. I have had to take the fear of death by the hand and comfort it, both within myself and within people I care about more than myself. Their fear makes me sad, I have felt their terror. I try to be kind. But what if, an eternity from now, immortal, self replicating or somehow having cheated the reaper, you reach the point where you can no longer store more memories, new synaptic pathways forced to destroy older patterns, the memories that matter slowly fading. Not being able to remember, but remembering that once you did remember, having to trust notes and photographs that are utterly alien to you. Meanwhile, every day has its attendant joys and futilities. Nothing will have changed, life will go on as long as it can, except that you will have lost everything that mattered to you. How I long, one day, to transcend this form for another, if the laws of nature are kind. Being stuck forever in this form would become an agony long before the last black holes evaporate. There is some faint hope, even in the final, unavoidable leaps of faith that we call endings.
  20. Will 2026 indeed be the year of the Pony, or will Hasbro wipe out again?
  21. This morning it was a little bit of Almond butter on some kind of ancient grains bagel.
  22. What if? What if? What if? What if? What if I? As alive as you need me to be! (I'm not a live action pony.) Let's end this on a more upbeat note.
  23. Every single night is a struggle now. The trend is positive, but I am in the midst of a deep ditch. I remember what sleep being FAR less complicated was like. I am a long way from there, but as long as I haven't forgotten, maybe I can find my way back.
