    One of my favorite country artists, and country songs. I'm not the biggest fan of country (I actually despise modern country), but this isn't a bad song. It's a beautiful song with an good guitar intro that descends into the verses.

    Song of the Day #1

    I'm going to start a new series on this which is song of the day. (I know this has probably been done before). Each day will have a designated genre. I focus on the overall sound of the song and not the different sub-genres the song fits into. I don't care if it's metal-core or technical progressive death metal. (There is going to be some MLP songs, but they will fit in their respected genres.
    Monday- Singer/Songwriter (Includes all sub-genres)
    Tuesday-Rock/alternative (includes all sub-genres
    Wednesday-Electronic(Includes all sub-genres
    Thursday- Country/Reggae (includes all sub-genres)
    Friday-Pop
    Saturday-Rap/R&B
    Sunday- Blues/Jazz
    I know I'm missing a few. I also have to double up some major genres to fit some more in. The doubled ones will alternate days. I'm doing this to boost my appreciation of every genre. So without further to do, it's Tuesday and that means some Rock or Alt.

    I know it's overplayed, but one can't deny how good it is. From a musical standpoint it's quite simple. From a lyrical standpoint it's amazing. I think this makes it such a great song. It gets more intense building up to a huge climax that releases into an awesome hard rock ending. After the climax it fades into just vocals for a good simple ending.
     
     
    (note: not all songs are going to be like this one. There are going to be others that aren't as well known and others that we all have grown tired of.)
    (also everything I say is my opinion, you may have a different opinion on how good a song is, and that's great! Comment what you think of the song. That's kind of what I wanted )

    This Easter was one of the worst I've ever had. I don't know why, the last few years it seems like all the major holidays just come in then leave so fast. It wasn't like that when I was less then 13. I always looked forward to holidays, something just seemed happy about those days. Last year, I spent half my Easter in my room sleeping, waiting for the relatives to leave. I usually like that side of the family. I found it hard to get in the mood for any of the celebration things. Why is it that the "magic" of the holidays leaves us around 14. I want the old holiday feeling back.

    Basically I have no interest in sports, especcially football, but everyone tries to tell me I'd be great.
    This was a conversation
    "Are you going out for football?"
    "No, I don't like football at all."
    "Not like football? What are you talking about?"
    "I find it pointless and barbaric"
    "Well, if your not going to play football, then what are you going to do? Wrestling?"
    "No... I'm not doing any sport. I want to focus on my music, and sports will get in the way of that"
    "How can you not like sports I mean {insert sports superstar I don't know}"
    "hold up, hold up, Who?"
    "You can't be serious"
    "Actually I'm quite serious"
    "Wow, your actually dumber then I thought..."
    "Well, thank you for that, but I better be going"
    " No, come on what sport are you doing"
    "I'm not doing a sport now will you please leave me alone"
    "Oh I see... you must be too weak to do anything other then watch tv and do your stupid computer, where is that going to get you?"
    I start listing off careers that involve computers
    "Well, If you don't do sports then your a loser..."
    "Ok, cool I'm a loser, thank you"

    Seriously it's like if you don't do a sport everyone freaks out. Well Indiana is a football state, so I can see why...

    The Bus part 2

    Been a while since I made one of these.
     
    Ok, today on the bus, I was sitting in the back listening to winter wrap up, (with headphones). The kid behind me saw and said;
     
    "Dude why are you listening to my little pony?" I then told him why I love the show. He then replied back
    This gave way to laughter in the surrounding seats.
     
    "Are you serious (laugh) your gay right?" I replied no, and he just continued laughing and calling me gay... I said no I'm completely straight, I just like it for the plot and the music. He then convicted me of trolling him. I said no really look at my shirt. (I was wearing an Octavia shirt). "HOLY " He replied. I told him yet again why I watch the show. There was no convincing him. Everyone was laughing at me around us two. When we were about to get off he started singing the MLP theme song, someone asked him why he was singing, then he said "this was listening to MLP" I just kept walking. That was it. I don't like raising my voice so I think I handled that rather well...
     
    Anyways... We had a 100 point literary analysis due today. It was supposed to be done in class. I honestly didn't read half of it, so I wrote 5 paragraphs of crap, and now I will hope for the best...

    Well, first me and my group Unique Kase played our first REAL show this evening. There were about 300 people there... Yeah, after we were done, one of my friends Andrew started dancing around and he ended up doing a catchy song...

    T-SHIRTS!

    Ok, I'm happy to announce I finally got my first MLP t-shirts. *Applause* Ok, and the cool thing is, is that I will be the first person in my city to actually be seen wearing a MLP shirt. I know this because no one has seen anyone with a MLP shirt on. My mom walked into my room and asked me if I was going to get beat up or teased for wearing the shirt. I said I don't know, and she then proceeded to call the ponies feminine looking which I agreed they were. Yeah...
    So other then that, today was pretty suckish. We had a 2 hour delay, but the day didn't feel any shorter. I almost broke down (YET AGAIN) in my english class out of anger... (the 2nd best part of the day was me getting an A- on my Geography test)...
    I recently saw the school was having a talent show and I was thinking, if I could get my group to play "I'll fly higher" for it... If not I'll stick with "Perfect"... So yeah today was un-eventful, I hope tomarrow goes better, but until then I'm off...

    Ok, I was listening to my iPod walking outside of the school with a friend today and my friend and I was listening to "The Perfect Stallion" from the soundtrack. He instantly tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I really was listening to My Little Pony music. I said "Oh, why yes I am," He then proceeded walking away and kept giving me weird looks over his shoulder... He then told me we weren't friends anymore...
    Anyways, another thing happened today. I almost had an breakdown in the middle of English. My teacher was talking about how she loved it when the villain wins, because that's life. I looked up and noticed the big smile on her face. She then proceeded to give a lecture about it's not real when the good guy wins. She said that it's only fun when the bad guy wins. Then she started saying the word "hate". Now I really don't like the word hate and I don't use it often. It's not technically in my vocabulary. Then everyone in class was saying things they hate. Everyone was saying they hated things and people. I just sat there gripping my pencil. I was about to burst into tears (Yeah I'm an emotional person) from people just saying that they hated people and things. I really don't like it when people say they hate people, because I know that's not true. Hate isn't real and the word shouldn't be praised. It's just mean.
    You may be asking if anything good happened today... Not really, my stomach was upset the entire day and my allergies were acting up terribly... I just hope tomorrow goes better.

    Review #3, the AWESOME looking guitar, the Gibson ES-335
     
    Price- 9/10- this guitar cost me $3,000 to buy, but it was worth every penny.
     
    Durability 6/10- The guitar feels REALLY fragile. The pickgaurd feels like it will break off and there's this screw that comes loose all the time.
     
    Ease of Play 8/10- This guitar is insanely easy to play if you have small hands... If you have larger hands like mine it might feel a little strange at first.
     
    Hardware 10/10- Nickle, Body: maple, Neck: mahogany, Whammy bar, just perfect
     
    Sound 10/10- This guitar has a soft tone when you want it to and a very heavy tone when you want it too. It sounds best playing rocabilly, but also can sound fine playing most classic rock songs. (E.G anything by Rush or Guns n' Roses.)
     
    Total 43/50- This guitar is just awesome. The only thing holding it back is the durability. It just is an amazing and beautiful guitar.

    The Fender Squier is the first guitar I'll be reviewing...
     
    Price- 5/10 I picked this guitar up for around $345.00. This guitar is not worth that at all. I would only pay 128.00 for this guitar...
     
    Durability- 6/10 this guitar is pretty durable, being my first guitar, it has gone through a lot. The tuners are really touchy. After a while the Whammy bar that the guitar comes with, caused the guitar to go out of tune.
     
    Hardware- 7/10 Maple neck, 21 frets, synchronous tremolo bridge, 3 single coil pickups, whammy bar...
     
    Ease of play- 9/10 I must say as much as I really don't like the set up, it is a very easy guitar to play. I think anyone could play this guitar and like the feel of it.
     
    Sound- 8/10 this guitar has a very rockabilly/classic rock sound, although you are able to play metal on it as well... Thus it is a very well rounded guitar with a darn good sound.
     
    Total-35/50 This guitar is a great beginner guitar, because it does come in a set. If your a talented guitarist, I would skip on this guitar. Even though the sound is good, the price is WAY too high for a guitar like this.
    There you have it. My first review.

    This is going to be my personal location for reviewing the guitars I've played and currently own... I will be grading each guitars on a scale of 1-10 for the following categories.
    Price- What the guitar costs, and if it is worth the money you pay for it.
    Durability-How much abuse can it take (I know I might not be able to test this for all guitars, nor will I trash any guitar, or damage one for that matter.) Also how long I've had it and how it has held up.
    Hardware- The bridge, types of woods, necks, and headstock. (and electronic components if applicable.)
    Ease of play- this one is a tough one to do, because not only is it different for everyone, it might be difficult to test. I will try my best to show what it is for all kinds of hands.
    Sound- what it sounds like, best type of music for the guitar...
    So there you go. I will review my first guitar in around 30 minuets of making this blog.

    When this song came out I did everything to avoid it. I thought is was the regular pop song. To my surprise it was actually good. The lyrics were well thought out and the story was actually very clever.
