For the love of fuck, why would the network admin at school install win7 on 10 year old fucking computers?

My last job was as a systems administrator with a university that focused on IT professions. Every room in the building was fairly modern except for one. That one room still had Dimension 2400s in it. They wouldn't give us the budget to upgrade that room. We put Windows 7 on one of them for the lulz and it ran respectably well, so we put it on the rest of them too. Everything was doing fine until someone stole half of the memory from every computer.
