  1. Pretty deep

Which is why I hate Latin. (Great job, I just dissed off two-thirds of the English language, every Romance language in the world, every branch of law and governent, Latin itself, and the spy from Iron Man 2.)

No, not really... I just really like etymology.

  2. I was gonna elaborate the differences between alone and lonely, two unlike words that people tend to unify, even though one means "all one," and the other is a mistake.

    But alas, hamster wheel.

Well... I'm on the road, guys. So far so good...

    I've not left yet.

  3. That's interesting. How would you rearrange the keys? xD Just taking the top off and moving it won't do anything, so I'm not exactly sure how you would change which key is pressed. xD That's something I don't know how you would do. xD

Windows natively has two prominent English keyboard layouts: Qwerty and Dvorak. Switching to either one can be done through ease of access. I use an even more rarer keyboard layout: Colemak. Windows has nothing on it, so I have to download a program that rearranges the keyboard layout for me. I go about switching around the keys physically so that other people know where the keys are.

I think I know about two or three people who natively use a non-Qwerty keyboard and I may be the only person out of all the forum sites I'm on who even uses the kind of keyboard that I use. (There were two Dvoraks: a musician and the keyboard guy, and strangely they were distantly related, so when I once asked "Qwerty or Dvorak," I got the musician as an answer.)

Because of that, it means that there are a lot of games that I cannot play because of how different the controls are; instead of WASD, it's WARS for me. Luckily, Minecraft and Runescape and Kerbal Space Program have the ability to change keyboard controls, but games like Catlateral Damage and Octodad would force me to switch back to Qwerty.

Side note: Qwerty has WASD, Colemak has WARS, and Dvorak has ,AOE (Yes, comma A O E).

  4. Just messing around a little until it's time for me to leave the house - in which I'll then be going to Gulf Shores for a few days

Insert 1000 things that can go wrong here.

Why use a non QWERTY keyboard? I've been using those types all my life, and I'm memorized the location of the keys on this type of keyboard. That's why I type pretty fast.

Becuase I've found that my hands hurt if I use a keyboard that says qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm, but never at all when it says qwfpgjluyarstdhneiozxcvbkm. I also tried a keyboard that says pyfgcrlaoeuidhtnsqjkxbmwvz, but guess how that turned out. (Too many keys on the right hand; I have to be sinistral with the keyboard, as dextral I want to be with the mouse.)

  5. I got a new keyboard, little did I know it would put me way under on my bank account. >.>

So what is everyone up to right now? I just woke up, and I can hardly keep my eyes open.

I rarely ever spend more than $20 on any one keyboard. Thing is, they have to be the kind where I can physically rearrange the keys to signify that I use a non-Qwerty keyboard.

Plus I've a class at 12:00 and won't be back until after 19:00.

  6. I'm aware of the Titan-esque picture of Big Macintosh walking across a mountain range and I've no interest in giantess malarky.

Except that wasn't the pony in question...

What's up? At least I don't have work today. So I can do other things.

Not much to do when mainly everything is dead. xD Get's boring sometimes.

Except I'll be out of the house again.

  7.

Since I'm gay, I have pride, so I'll quote myself.

Incorrect pronunciation of my own name; the first A is pronounced with the U from under, so the first syllable is pronounced like gun, but without the N at the end of gun. The third syllable is pronounced as rum. The second syllable is like the first syllable from narcissism. For the last name, the first syllable is pronounced as in, the second syllable is like took but without the T, and the third syllable is pronounced as shook. (Not the first time that anyone has ever butchered my name, but since I know the pronunciation, me reading your pun didn't really work on me.

  8. How is everyone doing? Today nothing much will happen with me, work is going meh, one of my managers I think is trying to do something, he said I wasn't listening to things but what I know is that he is saying stuff that is not true.

It's been weeks since I communicated through my laptop, so guess where I'm at...

  9. Must be fun. On Minecraft right? I don't even play that.

    Where else?

Besides, I really enjoy both Half Life and Portal, even though I never played either game before. The only experience I have with Half Life and Portal is through Minecraft. And yes, I have both guns.

  10. Hello. What is everyone doing?

I'm listening to Z99.5, a local radio station. Posting here too.

I really should be mining for more copper and iron, but instead I'm building farms. That's what I've been doing.

  11. So I can speak Japanese (a language I've been wanting to learn) without learning if all languages are the same? lol jk.

I meant in how many words they have. xD I know languages are different, but yeah.

I'd like to learn other languages, but I need to have the time and patience to do so. xD

What I'm getting at is a complaint I have about the English language: It's one part Germanic and two parts Latin, with hints of Greek in the middle. It means that there are too many words and it's difficult for me to explain anything, especially how I'm feeling in general.

I tend to call it an oversufficiency of words. I'm exploring what would English sound like if it stayed purely Germanic and stumbled upon a thing called Anglish. This is also an interesting tangent because I am also exploring learning a second language, and I chose another Germanic language as my target. I'm figuring that if I know enough of one Germanic language (which is English, but I'd have to purge all of the Latin from it), I may be able to better understand another Germanic language.

Now I know why Spanish is so hard to understand; it's evolved from Latin and falls under the category called the Romance languages.

By the way, there's about 3200 butts' worth of videos on the English language, and one that explains how a buttload is an actual unit of measurement.

  12. I didn't get an all good sleep last night, but I slept.

What's up everyone? I can tell I am tired right now. xD At least I don't have to work today.

There are too many words in the English language. I feel like terrible.

  13. I really hate being on such an iron crisis... 723 ingots? Last time I played, I had about 3000 or 4000 of them...

I'll leave the fact that I'm recommunicating to you that I'm trying to find solace and accompaniment in a place where I find very little faith.

Now why the hell am I using such big words?
