  1. Shiki's post in I need a thread deleted was marked as the answer
If you ever want a thread deleted, simply use the red "Report" button that's located in the same row as "quote," "multiquote," and "blog this."

There must be a legitimate reason to your request; moderators do not like simply getting rid of content if it's not necessary.
  2. Shiki's post in I don't get how the ignore list works on the forums was marked as the answer
It should be pretty self-explanatory, but when you go to add a user to your ignore list, you can choose whether to ignore their post, signature, messages, or a combination of the three.

Just check the boxes to block the respective feature.

Checking "messages" also blocks the user from commenting on your status updates, by the way.
  3. Shiki's post in Another account! was marked as the answer
Your original account is not "JeffTK." It is "Agent Smith."

"JeffTK" is your account's display name, while "Agent Smith," the name you signed up with, is your permanent username.

Your account is right here. You can also view your own display name history, so you can see that you signed up with "Agent Smith."

If you cannot log in with "Agent Smith," then there is still a problem, yes.

Source: Brand new to the site? Read this!

Source: Why is my post count not increasing?

As already stated, certain forums do not count towards one's post count, because they are not as contributing as others posts in other sections. Forum Lounge, for example, is filled with silliness and simple reaction images to many posts; this would not be fair to those who make longer, thought out posts in all of Sugarcube Corner, for example.
  5. Shiki's post in Changing my profile to private was marked as the answer
    Log out.

When you go to log back in, click the "sign in anonymously" checkbox.

This will hide your last online time to give you that "private" bit, and will also hide you from "currently online," "currently viewing," and "recent visitor" lists across the forums.

  6. Shiki's post in the friends list was marked as the answer
There are two ways you can view your entire friends list.

The "friends" tab on your profile would be just a list.
The "manage friends" hyperlink in the drop down menu will bring you to a list that you can then alter the contents of.
  7. Shiki's post in YouTube Videos That I Post Not Displaying was marked as the answer
This seems to happen a lot on the forums, actually.

Personally, I always use the "youtu.be/" link that you can find under the "share" page on the video.

Seems to work when the youtube.com/ links seem to not.

(Testing both links for the same video, now)

    (Well it worked for me)

Also, another tip: when you link the youtube.com/ link, make sure to use the unlink button in the editor -- right next to the image button in your editor. When pasting the actual URL link, the "http" immediately turns the text into a link, which, that won't turn into a youtube video.
  8. Shiki's post in Editing Signature Issues was marked as the answer
You have a tonne of random empty lines after all the content in your current signature.

Delete them and edit in what you want and everything should be perfectly fine.
  9. Shiki's post in Phone questions was marked as the answer
All you need to do is post the YouTube URL, yes.

To get the YouTube URL from the YouTube app, simply touch the screen and hit this button.

Once you hit this, a list of actions will appear. Choose "Share."

Another list will appear; choose "copy link".

Then go to your post and paste as you would anything else.

If you are not using the iOS app, it's much more straightforward; all you must do is copy the URL at the top of your internet app and paste that.
  10. Shiki's post in How do I add a Spoiler? was marked as the answer
It's actually rather simple. All you need to do is this:
[spoiler]This is a spoiler.[/spoiler] This would be the result:

Just make sure not to forget to "close" your spoiler by adding the "/" in the second spoiler tag.

    You could also do this:

Click the "special bbcode" button in your editor (to the left of the font drop down list) Select "spoiler" in the drop down list Type out your spoiler Hit OK All it really does is add the spoiler tags at the beginning and ending of your text, anyway. It's pretty simple.
  11. Shiki's post in How do I create and use blogs? was marked as the answer
I'll provide screen caps along with a text explanation.

    1. Click on your username in the upper right hand side of any page and click "manage blogs."

    2. Click on the "Create a blog" button.

    3. Reread and make sure you accept the terms and conditions of blog usage.

    4. Create a blog name and description(optional).

    5. Edit any more specific options available if desired, then save.

    6. I'm fairly certain you will be brought back to your blogs page, but if not, you can navigate back to it via the same "manage blogs" link used beforehand. Click on "options" in the correct row for the blog you wish to post a new entry in.

    7. Type out your new entry's title and body, then save and/or publish. Publishing means everyone will be able to see your blog, while saving it means you can edit it and save it for later, while no one else can view it.

  12. Shiki's post in Site Runs Very Slowly on iPad was marked as the answer
It would be helpful if you specified which browser you were using, and what kind of iPad you have.

Typically, the site does not run very well on many mobile devices to begin with; it is set up for desktop browsing. We have a "mobile" theme, which you can access at the bottom of the page ("Change Theme"), but, of course, it will cut back some of the features of the site to allow faster browsing.

With the iPad (and all devices), it could and would be helpful to close some background apps. If you do not know how to do this, simply double tap the Home button and press the small minus-like button in the corner of the apps that appear in the multitasking bar. This will free up some memory and possibly help with your issue.

Also, rebooting seems to help, if you're truly desperate.
Also, deleting some unused apps if you're extremely low on storage space.

Other than that, there's nothing else, that I know of, you can really do, if you really want to browse on desktop version.
