    The answer is: a little bit of both. I composed all of the intro piano on a keyboard but then transferred it to FL Studio afterward (I use Kontakt's The Giant for most of my piano sounds). Most of the other synths I programmed and composed completely within my DAW (I use mainly Toxic Biohazard, Harmor and Sytrus for synths).

    I never thought of doing it that way! Yeah, I've always had trouble trying to get fast sidechains because I can't get the audio to bounce back quickly enough without distortion. That technique should really help; I'll have to try it next time I use sidechaining. Thanks

    Believe it or not, I had that synth sidechained during the chorus initially, but I took it off because for some reason it didn't sound right. Ah well! The drop was definitely the toughest part to make for me, since the mixing and sound design was very tricky. Thanks for the input, though, I'm pretty sure you're right. XD Thanks a lot, Sonata.     Yay! Mission accomplished. A lot of times the songs I write are pretty short, but instead of repeating or adding more I choose to end them so they're more reflective... though, an extended version of this might be fun to do. We'll see!
