  1. I very rarely use those sites unless I'm looking into something heavily opinionated and I want to see what other people think about a topic. Still though, I wouldn't use it as a resource for fact finding or basing any serious decisions on. Sites like StackOverflow are the same deal; you don't just copy the top answer to a question and shove it in your program, you might decide to do something similar or figure out something even better.

  2. I'm not sure if I'm just feeling fatigued from my day or if I've caught the flu. I'm definitely sick because of this bloody cough, but I don't know if the muscle weakness in my legs are due to me over-exercising or symptoms of the sickness. If it persists tomorrow, I might have to switch to weight training for a few days.

  3. Only a few times in my college days. In particular, there was one professor I found oddly lethargic. Fortunately he didn't seem to take issue to it, but I still felt kind of bad about it. My eyes would sort of glaze over and blur, my head would eventually drop in submission and then suddenly, 5-15 minutes had passed.

  4. I'm pretty much an atheist. Of course I could be wrong, but I like to think that a creator isn't needed to explain the universe. I think the universe is the result of a natural process we'll never be able to fully understand due to the sheer complexity of it or due to the process being unobservable from our speck of a planet. Entirely unscientific, but those are my thoughts about it.

  5. I thought the film was alright. It wasn't bad, certainly better than the Jumanji remake, but it wasn't that great either. Entertaining, but certainly not without it's rough edges.

I really dislike that snoke is gone and Kylo Ren's apparently now the main bad guy. Snoke may have been generic, but at least I could take him seriously as a villain; Kylo Ren is like a whinier, "edge-lordier" version of Justin Trudeau. Plus, instead of killing him off in this film, they could have given him some depth instead. The last twist with Luke was also a bit... disappointing. When (spoiler) Ren sliced right through him without causing injury, I thought that Luke must have been a force-ghost throughout the entire movie. That would have been such a cool twist and explain so much about his character flaws! But nope, force projection and then he dies anyway.

  6. In short: tired. I had a great day at work, but I think I drained myself in the last hour to get everything I wanted to complete done before the weekend. It makes me feel happy and accomplished that I managed it though.

  7. I really like the graphics from paper mario 64.

I don't know what it is specifically about this style that I like; there's just something about 2D characters in a vibrant 3D world that I can't help but enjoy. However, I think sticker star and colour splash go way too far with the paper theme and it just falls flat and feels unrealistic.

  8. I've been struggling with myself internally since my high school days, but I think those psychological wounds are finally healing after many years. I'm starting to feel more positive about myself rather than constantly overshadowing those thoughts with my shortcomings.

I'm also a full-time software developer specializing mostly in C# at work. Though I have worked on projects in numerous languages, including C++, PHP (loads of stories about that project), JavaScript, Rust, and Python.

  9. I love Monday! Its the day of the week where I have the most inspiration and sharpest ideas. Thursday on the other hand can go fall down a well. It's basically Tuesday, but without the idea pool of Monday to rely on. Easily the worst day of the week.

  10. College textbooks. I'm trying to make the most of them, but I can't believe I spent roughly $80 on "A Book on C." It's not even great as a reference book when the standard library and posix API is already really well documented. I also bought Designing Interfaces for UI class; it's currently acting as a $60 flyswatter.

  11. I really enjoy light and heartwarming anime series. Last season, I really enjoyed Konahana Kitan. Its a show about a bunch of foxgirls looking after guests at an inn. Simple premise, fantastic art style and pretty much every episode had at least one or two touching moments.

There was another obscure one I found called Re-Kan! where the main character could see and speak with ghosts and used that ability to make the ghosts and people suffering from loss feel better. The only thing about that though is that the supporting cast other than the 2 leading characters were very uninteresting.

  12. Nope, but my neighbours have had the music so loud that I complained to them about it. (Didn't do much.)

Have you ever played a trading card game?

  13. Well, now that I've finally become a developer, becoming a professor teaching programming would be pretty great. Its not unrealistic either; a few years of on the job experience, a little extra education and it's feasible.

On the less realistic side, I'd enjoy working at a library. I did some volunteering there for a while and it was a really nice atmosphere.

  14. I really enjoy it, though I mostly browse around for things that aren't clothes like books and old VHS tapes. I like how the stock is a bit of a surprise, sometimes you leave empty handed, other times you find tons of interesting stuff. I also like the kitchen appliance section; the prices appeal to my inner cheapness.

  15. Not a bad idea at all; even the pi 1 is more than adequate for that kind of task. I use mine as a little web server and for tinkering around with every now and again. For instance, I used it for automatically checking EB Games for me on the release night of the switch so it could wake me when the order button became enabled.

Although... I have to object on the cost of your HDMI cable! You can buy them sometimes for under $2.50 if you put in a little effort. You might need a slightly pricier cable than $2.50 for 4K support, but there's no excuse going above $5-7 when 3-6 feet of cable will probably do the job.

  16. I switched over to Firefox back in grade 5, it must have been ~2004 or so. I haven't touched it since... Well, that's partially a lie. I used windows phone for a while which had edge on it (which is pretty darn close) and I used IE purely for debugging my website. Because heaven forbid Microsoft keep IE's rendering engine up to date across operating systems. I mean, why shouldn't IE8 have to have a custom file of CSS all to itself because its rendering engine is garbage and abandonware?

  17. I'm unsure how to feel about this; I need more information. I feel like they're going to be in a rough spot this generation no matter what this ends up being. It likely won't be able to compete against Microsoft and Sony's console offerings if it's an upper tier console, it'll really struggle for developer attention against the portable hybrid switch at the medium tier and if it's something like the NES classic, they have emulators to fight against. I'm just thinking out loud though, they haven't really detailed any of their plans yet.

  18. For bugs, it depends. I wouldn't ever intentionally kill a praying mantis or honey bee, but flies, spiders, mosquitoes and wasps are fair game. I try to make it a fast death, usually via UI textbook because i'm probably never going to read it again and it's ~600 pages long.

For animals, accidentally killing one makes me feel awful for the rest of the day. There was this one time at work when I was driving a big tractor that I accidentally ran over a garter snake. I felt so awful about it, I really like snakes... Fortunately I have yet to hit anything with my car; a few close encounters, but I've always managed to out maneuver the squirrel or bird darting in front of me.
