But at dawn of the third day, we can play the Song of Time to redo it, right?

Only if you're in the right timeline. Pre-timeline split, it just makes certain blocks disappear. :derp:

  2. Well, that was fun if not a bit peculiar. I don't even know how I found the first two, but the rest weren't really that tricky.

Just purple left, but I don't know how to stop giving it away :derp:

Edit: Thank you, whoever you were!

  3. Hopefully my memory was good enough. I played through the game pretty darn thoroughly when the 3DS version came out to make up for my pretty awful early attempt at the N64 version. I guess critical thinking wasn't young Celtore's strongest selling point :mlp_please:

Edit: I originally answered the master quest set, but I answered the original set too. Because I evidently have nothing better to do this evening.

  4. I've never really bothered with bluetooth headsets. One of my colleagues does and it's kind of funny watching him use it. He randomly blurts out "Answer!", then appears to start talking to himself. I will say though that it seems to be a good way to talk with yourself without appearing too crazy. (Plausible deniability.)

As for bluetooth FTP, I've tried it in desperation, but you're way better off hosting an openssh server on your phone and using that for wireless file transfers.

  5. For some reason, I really enjoy the forest temple. It might have to do with the whole ghost thing and just the overall atmosphere.

On the other side, I can't say I was a huge fan of Jabu Jabu's Belly. It was initially fairly confusing, the environment isn't exactly very pleasant and you're stuck carrying Princess Ruto around. It's mostly the environment though; I've never really been a fan of games where you go "inside" something. Heck, even bowsers inside story sort of pushes it.

  6. UI design was very difficult and aggravating. For each project, you had to build something functional that also looked good, then write a report preaching to the professor about how your UI was built based on each of the design principles of the book "Dont Make Me Think" by Jennifer Tidwell.

Imagine writing a report trying to explain how your slide out menu demonstrates the principle of least surprise or some crap like that. You were basically grovelling with the professor for marks and I bloody hated it. It also doesn't help that many of the principles are just rewordings of previous ones, so when you were writing the report, you sometimes had to argue that one element demonstrated two of them because they're so closely related. Then sometimes, your UI was so intuitive and simple that you didn't have enough points to talk about in the report.

"Don't Make Me Think" is now my designated flyswatter book.

  7. I've always kept them. Not like EB Games would give me more than $25 for my old systems when I was younger, so I never bothered. Although I must admit that my modded Wii U has sort of become the ultimate nostalgia box, meaning most of those non-handheld systems are just up in the attic gathering dust.

  8. To quote a certain pony, "Eeyup."

Of course, patience has an upper limit and I have my limits as well. Especially if the person is being just plain rude, like parking a shopping cart right in the middle of a grocery store aisle, or customer service turning their back on you after "helping" the guy in front of you for over half an hour. I can stand around waiting for hours fairly calmly, but this sort of inconsiderate behaviour causes my impatience levels to skyrocket.

  9. I helped out my dad pick out a new laptop. His old HP one was falling apart and he had only had it for a few years. It was all hardware issues too, bloody HP...

I also spent some time reading a new book and catching up on my weekly anime shows.

  10. I can't say I have much interest in going to those sorts of conventions either. I've thought about it a few times, but I enjoy my relaxation time too much to pursue it. The biggest selling point of conventions appear to be the social aspect, which isn't exactly something I necessarily view in positive light (especially huge crowds.) I'd rather just watch the presentations I'm interested in from youtube in the comfort of my own home.

  11. I enjoy reading, but it's hard to find a good book I can get into. When I do find a good work of fiction, I devour it in a few days. Dan Brown was good for a while until I caught on to his formula midway through Origin and lost interest.

  12. I try to sleep it off. Even a short power nap in my chair can do wonders and make me feel better than when I first fell asleep. A nice cold cloth to the forehead or a shower can help reduce some of the pain as well without turning to medication.

I also try not to do much while I have a headache. If I'm not napping, I try to do simple passive things like watch a movie, read a book or just derp around in a relaxing video game like animal crossing. Certainly nothing like yard work or software development. (Well, unless I happen to be at work. Then I power through it or take a documentation day.)

  13. I was a lot purer when I was younger; I kind of had those rose-tinted optimism glasses back then. Don't get me wrong, I have never been violent and I'm as clean as a whistle when it comes to drugs or alcohol. I won't even touch coffee. But my more realistic world view probably couldn't be fully considered pure.

  14. So far, so good! I like that it's live action; in the game, they sort of made the humans fit more of the pokemon's style. (Likely because 3DS.) Here, it's pretty much the opposite where they redesigned the pokemon to fit the humans. I think they did a pretty good job with that too, it's an interesting style they've done for their models. I look forward to seeing more.

  15. Yes and no. I can throw myself at a difficult stage for hours as long as it's a fair fight. I don't mind difficult platformer levels or even bullet hells; a good challenge can be a lot of fun. If the main enemy is the game mechanics however, I get really frustrated pretty quickly.

Some examples of an "unfair fight":

    • Stupid partner AI. (ie: prevent your ally from dying as they ram headfirst into everything.)
    • Poor controls. (Luigi's Mansion 3DS, I'm glaring at you and your stupid thumbstick.)
    • Ridiculous luck/impossible odds. Always in favour of the CPU, of course.

  16. I've calculated probably around 40 hours. I had a really bad nightmare when I was a kid and resolved to stay up the following night playing Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga on my GBA. I made it through the first night and even beat a boss I was stuck on, but inevitably gave in the following night.

  17. The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars. It's not that I'm lazy, not in the least. It's just that my idea of a perfect weekend or vacation is a slow or empty one where I can just sit back and relax. I don't like being busy on my time off, I'm busy enough in the week
