The thread reminded me of a documentary that was talking about the US financial crisis in 2008, and showed the average homeowner was born in 1968. Skip to today, and that average is still the same. Getting a home loan is rough, and a lot of companies here in the US make trashy, poorly constructed houses anyway. While I don't live with my parents, I was lucky enough that they kept an old house to raise value on and I moved in there.
