  1. "Well, sugarcube," Applejack said, "Ah sure hope you get over her soon, too." Applejack did mean that part. Red Talon is the only stallion she knows that she truly loved. Sure, she had a crush on him when they were younger, but that crush turned into true love. "Applejack," Red responded, "I'm going to have to get going in a bit, have Sterling's wedding." "Alright sugarcube," she replied, "seeya later." Red walked out his hotel room, out the revolving door, and down to the chapel, where he saw Sterling and the gang.
  2. "Red," she responded, "Ah really hope things go over well with you and Neon. Ah hate seein' ya so un-gung-ho about everything, now." "I'm still in love with her," Red responded to Applejack, "I'm not even close to through with her yet. Tryin' hard to let her go, but it's just more than I can do. When I return home, and I'm not anywhere near Neon, then maybe I might be able to get over it a bit more easily." (Sorry for the halfass post, I just have a hard time coming up for conversations with Red and AJ)
  3. As Red was sitting in his hotel room, the phone began to ring. He trotted over to answer. "Hello?" he said into the phone. "Hey, Red, it's me," Applejack's voice on the other line said. "Oh, hi AJ. How did you do curbing that stampede?" "Ah, it was no big deal. When ya got a dog like Winona, it gets pretty easy. You gettin' ready for that wedding?" "Yeah, already in my tux." "Ah, sugarcube, before ya go, ah have to ask ya something." Applejack was about to ask him who he truly loved, but decided not to due to the fact that his heart still belonged to Neon, he was quite upset about the breakup, and Applejack wasn't sure if he felt the same. Of course, Red didn't even know himself how he felt for Applejack. "Ask," Red replied. "...uh, well, when are ya gonna return home?" "Probably be back by tomorrow. Why so?" "Well, me and the family just bucked a fresh batch of apples, and ah was wonderin' if you'd like to come over for dinner one night. "Haven't done that in awhile, I'd love to. Get my mind off Neon with the company and all." Is this it? AJ thought to herself. Is he finally trying to get over Neon?
  4. Shit, I forgot about that, Jack thought to himself. "Aw, I suck at making jokes," Jack replied to Logan. Heh, guess the wine is gonna be out of the question tonight. Jack and the group walked into the pub, and they all sat down at a table, as the waitress passed out the menus.
  5. (What are you changing her name to?) "Get at something?" Jack responded jokingly, "Now what would I be trying to get at? Either way, it's a pub. I'm sure they've got plenty of wine selections here. Plus I realized I can easily pass as a 21 year old. If not, there's always the fake ID." Jack pulled into the parking lot, and walked into the restaurant with the group.
  6. Before leaving, however, Red noticed a gem that was glowing violently. "What... the hell?" he said to himself as he approached it, "I need to talk to DJ about this." Red just stood there, slowly reaching his hand out to touch it. Right as his hoof was about to make contact, it suddenly stopped glowing. "Huh?" Red said in surprise, "Weird..."
  7. Applejack continued to look through the photo album, hoofpicking the pictures of her and Red. Photos from when they were just foals, pre-teens, and teens. (Cue Photograph by Nickelback Can't Say Goodbye to Yesterday by Carla White) She looked at the picture of Red Talon's 6th birthday party, and how Applejack was eyeing the cake. The next photo was of her face full of the cake at that same party. She continued to look at these pictures, going through more party pictures, their first rodeo together, a victory lane celebration at his first ever NASCOLT win, and even their first school dance. She came across a picture of the two dancing with each other and having a great time. Finally, she found their senior prom photo. Applejack was wearing a rustic looking dress with cowboy boots, and Red Talon wearing a streamlined dress suit, with Red's hoof around her shoulder. That's the closest ah ever got to him, she thought to herself, And probably the closest ah'll ever get...
  8. "Yeah," Red Talon responded, "This airship sure is something. Wonder how long it took to build." Red still felt a bit worn out after racing the Neightona 500 earlier that day (lol, we've been on the same day for about 8 real months), but still had enough energy to spend time and party with his marefriend. The band began to play a familiar Frank Sineightra tune, and Red Talon asked Applejack to dance. "Wanna dance, AJ?" he asked.
  9. @00Pony @Pripyat Pony @Fireblaze "I'm pretty sure there's a decent restaurant nearby the mall," Jack said to Charles. "If you give me your number, I guess I could always text ya the restaurant we're gonna be at. Logan, Angie, Twilight, you guys coming?" "Might as well," Twilight responded. As they drove down to the mall area, Twilight wondered what Jacob's problem was. "Jack," she asked him, "What was the deal with Jacob? I've never seen somepony that angry before." "He's just an immature little punk," Jack replied, "And making fun of me is one thing. But if someone decides to cross the line and make fun of my friends or family, that's beyond the limit." Jack pulled into the mall, and looked around for a restaurant. "Oh, there's a little Italian pub nearby," he said to Catherine, reading the sign, "La Bella's Italian Pub. Wanna give it a go?"
  10. @00Pony @Pripyat Pony @Fireblaze @Hypn0ticD "So, Charles, you'll take Rarity up to the mall, I assume?" Jack asked Charles. He then turned to the whole group. "Anypony else want to join us?" *** Dr. Clark turned to Mrs. Dean. "Well, if they studied, I'm sure they'll do, uh, fine," he said. "Then again, I think I, uh, did a decent job teaching it to everybody. How were things on your end?"
  11. Red dressed himself in his tuxedo, and prepared for the wedding. Still, nonetheless, he had difficulty forgetting about Neon. However, back at Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack had a hard time forgetting about her love for Red Talon. He knew that she loved him, but Red wasn't sure that he loved her. Sure, they have been friends ever since they were fillies, but did Red truly love her? Applejack paced around her bedroom, and sat down to stare at a bunch of photos of her and Red that she dug out from the attic. Red was the only pony she truly had affections for. She sat there, staring at these photos as a tear came into her eye. She knew that she had to win him over, but with the way Red isn't able to get over Neon, it would be a difficult task...
  12. Looks like I'll have to start doing soundtracks to posts, now! I have so many different songs in mind when it comes to his problem.
  13. I actually was thinking more this for Red Talon: It's from Steve Earle, one of my favorite country musicians. Fits Red's dilemma perfectly, if I say so myself.
  14. Due to lack of major characterization from the last roleplay, I'm giving him more character development this time around with him dealing with emotions he never felt in his entire life. He'll be dealing a lot with the struggles from his failed romance with Neon. I'm not trying to turn him into a cliche'd romantic. Rather, I'm trying to bring out his reflective and emotional sides, with him realizing money, fame, and success isn't everything in life, rather, it's true friendship that is the meaning of life, in a similar vein to the show itself.
  15. "Underneath my nose..." Red responded, "I've never had much luck with mares to begin with. Right as things seemed to be going well for me, it just turns to dirt..." "Well, all ah can say to ya is just to keep trying. And ah said already, she might already be closer than ya think." Red then heard commotion going on in the background. "What in tarnation..." Applejack said, "Ah, sugarcube, ah gotta go. Stampede. Sorry bout that. Have fun with the wedding, and remember to stay positive!" Red heard the *click* as she hung the phone up to curb the stampede. Red did find Applejack rather attractive, but at the same time, wanted Neon back. Saddened, Red just walked out to the balcony, and sat there, watching the sun set. "Neon loved watching sunsets..." Red said aloud to himself, "If only she were here with me. If only things were alright..." Red began to reflect on everything, wondering what he did wrong, wondering what he did to deserve this. Sure, he's a successful racer, but he lost the pony that meant the most to him. But as Red knows from stories and advice, getting back with somepony who broke up is highly unlikely. Such thoughts ruined a beautiful sunset for Red, who knew that if none of this had happened, the two could enjoy watching the sun painting itself across the dusk sky. Sleep didn't come very easily for Red that night, who tearfully went to bed earlier than usual. He never experienced anything quite like this before. Red normally would say that as a racer, he's seen and felt almost every type of pain imaginable. No pain is worse than losing, Red always thought. Looks like he finally found something worse than the pain of losing. The pain of losing the one you love the most. *** Morning came and Red still was feeling awful. He knew that Sterling's wedding was today, and he had to make sure that he hide his emotions throughout the day. It will be quite a difficult task, he thought to himself, but he couldn't mess anything up today and end up ruining Sterling's wedding.
  16. @00Pony @Pripyat Pony @Fireblaze @Hypn0ticD Jack, shortly afterward, was approached by a reporter. "Jack," he said to him, "what happened with that confrontation with Jacob?" "Well, we actually were just arguing about... money he owed me," Jack responded, trying to inject humor into the situation, "Heh, actually, he just didn't like the way I raced him. I told him anything goes out there, and he decides to be an immature little punk. You know, the sport would do so much better without idiots like him clogging up the track. And that's really all I have to say right now." After the little interview, Jack turned around back to his group. "So, Catherine," he said, "Any suggestions on where we should celebrate tonight?" *** Dr. Clark was in the (wherever the Rally is held), preparing the decorations for the Rally. It would be quite a fun night, he thought to himself. He always enjoyed listening to some of the talent that the school had to offer. Despite his awkwardness, he still always managed to socialize a bit at these events, somehow.
  17. "Awh, sugarcube, ah'm so sorry," Applejack responded. "Yeah, perhaps it... just wasn't meant to be. I... I want to try it again... but I don't know if it will work. We've been partners for awhile, and I just can't believe it has come to this... it didn't have to end like this..." Applejack noticed his tear-choked voice, and offered words of comfort. "Sugarcube, there are plenty ah other mares out there. Perhaps she's right underneath your nose." Applejack tried to hint her affection for Red, but it just flew over his head. She loved him, but wasn't sure how Red feels about her. Plus, she had to take into consideration the recent breakup.
  18. Red dialed the number, and heard a deep voice answer on the other end. "Hello," the voice said. "Big Mac?" Red responded. "Eeyup." "Can ya get AJ for me, please?" "Eeyup." With that, Bic Mac called AJ over, and she answered the phone. "Hello, Red," she said to him. "Applejack... how are things going on your end?" "Good, sugarcube. Ah'm guessin' that the wedding preparations are coming along for Sterling and Evening?" "Yep! And if it weren't for me, they wouldn't have gotten too far. Speaking of weddings, things... fell apart with me and Neon."
  19. "I'm doing quite well, actually," Red said to Sterling's mother, Bubble Gum, in spite of the fact that Red wasn't doing exactly that well at the current moment. "I'm going to look forward to seeing you guys tomorrow! I've got to go in a bit!" With that, Red headed back to the hotel, worn out from the wedding preparations. He sat on the bed and dialed the number for Sweet Apple Acres.
  20. @Sterling Crimson "I'll get going in a bit, seeya tomorrow," Red Talon replied to Sterling. Just then, his parents arrived, and Red figured he'd introduce himself to them. "Hello," he said, "My name is Red Talon, and I assume you're Sterling Crimson's parents?" (OOC: Are we allowed to use telephones in the roleplay? If so, Red might call Applejack later on)
  21. "Heh heh, good idea," Red Talon replied to Sterling, "After all, if she doesn't want to do it, then why should I have to get involved and force her to do something she doesn't wanna do?" Red looked around once more. "Wow, can't wait for the wedding tomorrow! We really outdid ourselves!" Red then let out a sigh, remembering once more the fact that he's without a mare.
  22. (Screw NASCAR Thunder 2003. iRacing is where it's at. BTW did you ever beat that Mike Skinner challenge at Talladega?) "Well," Red said, "Believe it or not, she had really bad stage fright before a competition at Cloudsdale. She performed that Rainboom when she realized one of her friends was in trouble. I was there to see it that day, and tried to pep talk her, but she was just... out of it that day."
  23. (OOC: The Neightona 500 is the first race of the season. lol) "As far as I'm concerned," Red responded, "The Wonderbolts don't compete in NASCOLT events. They're more a stunt team. And Rainbow Dash? I've been trying for a long time to talk her into making an appearance, but she has... stage fright."
  24. "The Neightona 500," Red said, "The most prestigious event on the NASCOLT schedule. You'd assume that the final race of the season is the biggest, but in NASCOLT, they really go out with a huge bang. Plus, the winner takes home the coveted trophy, and a 1 million bit check. The Neightona 500 trophy is the second most prestigious trophy, right behind the actual Trot Cup Championship trophy itself."
  25. Red Talon was quite pleased with his work, and how he was able to organize all the ponies in the way he did. He then trotted up to Sterling. "Glad to see things worked out with you and Evening," Red Talon said to him, a bit worn out from monitoring everypony. "The chapel looks amazing!"
