Well now that season 3 is on and I've begun to watch new episodes on The Hub usually my dad is eating breakfast while I watch it. It is kinda weird for me sometimes to have him in the room but whatever. Not gonna keep me from watching the show.

I couldn't care less about this Tosh.O and his show. What really scares me is the fact that Fluttershy's hoohah was totally visible on the screen. Lord knows what will those soccer moms will do when they know that their daughter watch a show that adults like to make porn of

 

 

Wait, they showed THAT? On TV? My opinion has been revised, that was a #%*^#%ed up thing to do. Dang it, I could see us getting a lot of flak for that, even if Tosh was the one who actually showed it. I'll try to hope this blows over though.

This isn't actually about how much character development that they've had. Each of them has actually recieved quite a bit. This is more related to whose friendships do we know the least about and have we seen the least of? Also secondarily, which of those would you like to see more of and do you have any ideas for an episode exploring their friendship?

Eh, people like Tosh make fun of everyone. Lets face it, it was bound to happen eventually. It does bother me that this might somehow imprint in the public consciousness but oh well. Nothing new here, an uninformed jerk being a jerk . Time to move on with our lives.

Ha ha, I feel like such a newbie compared to you all. I became a fan about halfway through last August, but it was kinda incubating for a couple months before that. Around May I began surfing TV Tropes aimlessly, and I happened to notice that MLP was referenced freakishly often, even in places where I would never have expected it to be referenced in. I sort of started to think that it must be an interesting show if it has all these different elements in it and so many people interested in it. And then in August I was watching an Epic Rap Battle of History and one of the recommended videos was of of Micthemicrophone's Epic Pony Rap Battles of Equestria, and my first thought essentially amounted to "LOL, what?" So I clicked on it and thought it was hilarious even if I didn't understand any of the references. Than I looked at some PMV's out of curiosity, the first of which introduced me to the best pony, and then I had to watch an episode, and then I had to watch ALL the episodes by which time I realized that I was hooked.

Actually, now that I think about it it seems like the main purpose of the song was to set up the reprisal to wrap up the second episode, which it did do a pretty good job at.

Well in the latest episode (AS OF NOW) she seemed to be really annoyed by Pinkie Pie. Rainbow Dash was trying to relax and Pinkie kept on bothering her. Although if you go back to season one, when Rainbow was trying to hang out with Gilda and again she kept on getting annoyed. So is there something RD dislikes about PP. Or is Rainbow Dash just the kind of pony that gets pissed off easily. What do you guys think.

Well if you watch Griffon the Brush Off, Dash says "Not again" while flying away, perhaps implying that Pinkie had been pestering her a lot recently. It's kinda like the new episode, they like having Pinkie around but they can get too much.

 

And 'Griffon' was the episode where Rainbow learned how much fun it could be to hang out with Pinkie, and in the newest episode Dash was clearly wanting to spend time with her. I think Dash has a quick temper and can certainly get exasperated with her sometimes but overall I actually think Pinkie is one of her best friends within the group.

I'll also add a request for Rainbow Dash and Twilight. Perhaps an archaeology episode? Twilight has to find some sort of ancient artifact and Dash tags along ( cause of Daring Do) and does all the cool stuff and saves Twilight's flank while Twilight figures out the 10000 year old riddles and traps. I think I read a fanfic like that once...

 

I'd watch it!

 

Also I second whoever voted for Applejack and Fluttershy. Haven't seen much of that since Dragonshy and a tad in Last Roundup. Don't have an episode idea ATM.

 

Oh! And Rarity and Pinkie Pie! No clue how this would work at all but if you toss the two funniest characters together then any episode would have to be amazing.

Highlight Episode: Sonic Rainboom

Why She is Best Pony: She is the embodiment of freedom and the dreamer. She will always be there for her friends and is coolness, awesomeness and radicalness ponified. She is also surprisingly adorable and brings a unique personality to the show. I can and have said more, but this is enough for now.

The question is would Sonic be given the Chaos Emeralds? Because without those he can't transform into Super Sonic. I would say Rainbow Dash if Sonic has no Chaos Emeralds mainly because she can fly and her Sonic Rainboom would leave him in the dust which she doesn't need any gems or anything. Who knows what if the Element of Loyalty makes her faster?

 

Agreed, I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the limitations of sonic's speed or Dash's for that matter, but there is no reason that sonic should get a god mode power up. The race should be in neutral conditions.

I can't narrow it down to 5, so I'll do 6

 

1: Read it and Weep

Reading is one of my absolute favorite things to do, and it is always a joy to see someone learn to appreciate it. The fact that it was about my favorite character made it even better. It had loads of comedy, Rainbow Dash being adorable for the entire episode, Battleclouds, the ninja costume, the boredom montage, DARING DO, and some positive character development. It is probably my most rewatched episode.

 

2: Sonic Rainboom=Hurricane Fluttershy

You know I've done a lot of thought about it and these are actually very similar episodes. Both are about overcoming childhood issues and performance anxiety, however what they do for each character varies quite a bit. Fluttershy's fears have been exhaustively documented throughout the series, and in Hurricane Fluttershy we got a little more insight into why they exist and we got the pleasure of watching her overcome them. Dash is one of the least likely to show fear out of them, but this episode began to reveal that underneath her cocky exterior she is actually quite insecure at times. Also during Rainboom we got to watch Fluttershy leave her comfort zone a little and have to give confidence to someone else ( admit it, you smiled when she finally cheered). You got to see something similar in Hurricane Fluttershy with Rainbow having to me more nurturing and comforting and that is a side of her that I'd like to see more of in the future. Also completing the tornado and pulling off the Rainboom were two of the most amazing moments in the series.

 

3: Cutie Mark Chronicles

Got some great insight into each character, screen time was divided fairly evenly, the Filly 6 were adorable and we got to see another Rainboom.

 

4: Luna Eclipsed=Party of One

I never understood why Luna was so popular until this episode. She was really adorable and comedy and heartwarming moments were spliced together seamlessly in a way that I have rarely seen before. It rocketed Luna way upwards in my favorite character list. And as for Party of One it helped me to finally understand what makes Pinkie Pie tick, and it forced me to realize that there was more depth to her than I had been giving her credit for. Since then she has shot up my favorite character list to 2nd and she is in no danger of being passed anytime soon.

i began to hate people ever since i got into mlp. at one point i fell in passionate love with Rainbow Dash. im no talking about something like "Oh geeze RD's got a sweet ass man! *fap fap fap fap*" no. its "I would give everything to make Rainbow Dash smile, laugh, and make her feel like a princess. I will die for her." and it still remains to be this powerful. Every time someone says that they love Rainbow Dash it makes me choke in disgust because they can't, won't and never will fathom how special and gifted she is. Rainbow Dash will always be the best pony.

 

I actually feel pretty much the same way, but it doesn't upset me to hear. I think it's really fantastic and it was good to know that I'm not alone

 

Please don't be mad at me

There's maybe 3 main things I dislike about it.

 

1. How biased Equestria Daily is

 

2. The love and tolerance thing. - its really annoying...

 

3. what people assume about you because you're a brony.

 

This, especially #1. When I visited today and saw the Trixie Daily banner I almost facepalmed. It looked like a satire of the site except they actually did it. I'm fine with fanboyishness and even expressing it (I'd be a pretty big hypocrite if I wasn't ) but when you're running a website for the WHOLE fanbase there is such thing as going too far.

 

 

Another thing that kinda irks me is when people assume that everyone can become a fan. Yeah, it would be cool if all my friends and my parents liked FiM but if I aggressively asked them to watch episodes with me then it would vastly turn them off. If your acquaintances know of your enjoyment of the show and have a modicum of respect for it then if you ask me you're very fortunate.

For all y'all saying that Applejack doesn't have any memorable quotes let me refresh your memory to the greatest letter of all time

Are you talking about the clones' actions? Keep in mind that they are flanderized one dimensional pinkie's with the insanity ramped up several notches. I dunno if I'd enjoy it if real Pinkie did more stuff like the fingers or whatever but I love it when she shows reality who's boss and I absolutely want more of that.

Rainbow Dash with a Swellow. If it's half as good as the picture up there I still won't feel worthy of seeing it. Thank you so much for doing this! I'd actually like to see any of them but Dash with a Swellow would be my preference for obvious reasons.

In my completely unbiased objective and informed opinion Dashie would win a race before Sonic got past the starting line

For the mane 6, some of their relationships are well developed. Hurricane Fluttershy shed a lot of light on how Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy interact. MMMystery on the Friendship Express and Feeling Pinkie Keen did the same for Twilight and Pinkie Pie, showcasing Twilight learning that while Pinkie may be random there is something of a method to her madness ( whatever it is).

 

So who's relationships are we most in the dark about and whose interactions would you most like an episode dedicated to?

Rarity and Rainbow Dash

Being pretty much fundamentally opposed they haven't really gotten much time one on one (Other than in Sonic Rainboom), and I would like an episode flushing out their friendship a little bit. I have no idea how it would work, but perhaps they have to work together for some kind of performance Dash is putting on (with Rarity designing a uniform) or Dash is the only one who is available to model something Rarity made. Either way, I'd like to see them develop some more mutual respect, and this episode would most likely be hilarious.

 

 

Applejack and Pinkie Pie

The calm, collected hardworking straight mare vs. our favorite pink spaz from outer space. The contrast in their personalities alone makes me want to see this episode. Perhaps Pinkie needs to help Applejack relax on a day off or something? I'd watch it

 

 

Spike with all of them

 

I'd also like to see more Rainbow and Pinkie for reasons ENTIRELY unrelated to shipping (shifts eyes)

Kinda so so as far as songs go. It had a good tune and all, but in terms of catchiness, emotional investment and overall musical quality several songs leave it far behind in my opinion.

 

I also second the request for more quirky Pinkie Pie tunes and submit my request for awesome Applejack and Rainbow Dash songs

 

Haha, yeah I suppose its possible, however that one guard that talked might disprove your theory or atleast shaken it.

 

Anyways I think its possible, but again they are very straightforward and seemingly very mindless. Plus twilight destroyed them with the spell she used pretty quickly, and easily. So I'd imagine it wouldn't be very effective anyways.

Plus I don't think its a well known place.

The only real hole in the theory that comes to mind is why they wouldn't just clone Shining Armor.

Most bronies are in agreement that it's best not to start with the pilot episodes. Applebuck Season is one of my favorites and I believe it's a good starting episode. Many will recommend Lesson Zero as their #1 introductory episode. I'm also a big fan of A Bird in the Hoof and Putting Your Hoof Down. My favorite episode of all is possibly The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, though his enjoyment of that might be dependant on his knowledge and appreciation of The Music Man and similar works.

 

The best episodes would really depend on his personality. He sounds like a reasonable guy for giving it five episodes to grab his interest. That's similar to my rule for new shows and more than most people are willing to allow. I hope it works out.

 

Shoot, how did I neglect Cider Squeezy? It's even one of my favorite episodes. That should have been on my list too. Listen to Artemis OP!

Those would be my suggestions. My last advice though is not to get disappointed or angry if he doesn't love it. Everyone has their own tastes and all, and if he doesn't like it as much as you do then you should just accept it. You probably don't absolutely love everything he does either (maybe you do, I don't know)

This just hit me. Could the mirror lake hidden away in Everfree be used to create armies that would terrorize Equestria in a conquest attempt?

 

If the lake was uncovered by someone other than Equestrians again, then it could spell trouble for Celestia and her kingdom should it be used for malicious purposes. Who would make enemies with Celestia, though? It doesn't seem likely, but perhaps griffons once fought Equestrians during a part of their history and old tensions will arise again because of a madman.

 

There is definitely the danger of that, I actually though of it myself this morning. Although if each clone is essentially a one dimensional personification of one aspect of the original person it would likely be insanely hard to make an effective army out of them.
