I shall begin with some examples of my own: Dahlia Hawthorne from Phoenix Wright and Fluttershy is the first. My other one is Jack Merridew from Lord of the Flies and Rainbow Dash. An arguable third is Celestia and Lord Vetinari from Discworld; provided that Lord Vetinari can count as a villain. (Let's see what crazy stuff comes out of the machine.)

Pinkie Pie would detect my presence, begin testing me in her party cannon, begin trying to walk like a human, begin breaking physics etc etc... Well, it'd be something to remember and definitely something to enjoy. But I'd quickly be tired out by her crazy antics. Or maybe she would somehow find a way of giving me all of her powers. And she'd definitely throw me a welcome party. So I'd get to meet everyone else as well. Come to think about it, the one character I'd most want to meet is Derpy. I manage to be just as destructive and clumsy without wall-eyes. Imagining what the pair of us could do together is amazing. And if we're thinking destruction missions, I guess we'd have to bring Rainbow Dash in on it too. (I'm beginning to see the first steps towards a video game here.) The real question is, who would I request shelter from when it's time to sleep? Or would I be too excited to sleep? Screw that question then. The last thing I'd definitely want to do is make Fluttershy mad. She won't hold a grudge against me, will she?

Which Mane 6 is most likely to...
Redthir replied to TailsIsNotAlone's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
1. Pinkie Pie. She's good at tic-tac-toe. I imagine she'd somehow keep winning. That said, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity could be good also. 2. Applejack. Her and Fluttershy are the two I don't really have anything in common, but Applejack will disapprove of me for my laziness and weird temperament. 3. Rainbow Dash. I imagine she'd fall in love with either Fluttershy or Rarity. 4. Twilight Sparkle. Fairly self-explanatory. 5. I put Rainbow Dash, but truth be told I think her look's too wild to win a beauty contest. I think Fluttershy. 6. Rainbow Dash. Her and Pinkie Pie are the wildest, but Rainbow Dash doesn't have any sort of spare body (whereas Pinkie Pie probably does). Whether it's a stunt accident, or an overly hedonistic lifestyle that causes it, she's the one who seems most likely. -
Look Before You Sleep. I was one of the people who didn't like Rarity to begin with, and this episode is exactly why (she seems slightly OOC, although I didn't know her well enough to notice it at the time). She's a total bitch, left, right and centre, and seems to provoke Applejack much more than vice-versa. Also, Twilight Sparkle is OOC IMO - I don't imagine her as the type who'd host a slumber party. My opinion of The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well is mixed. It could've actually been a great episode; there's a great moral to be learned, and what happened to Rainbow Dash was actually very believable: she'd developed such a love for attention and praise that she no longer cared about saving lives. Perhaps the Mare-Do-Well situation was justifiable; the episode never gave a chance to justify it. It has all the traits of a good episode, but doesn't put them together. The Show Stoppers is boring. It doesn't help that it's the second CMC episode in a row, but there's nothing to change the fact that Stare Master is easily the better of the two. Nothing is learned in The Show Stoppers, nothing worthwhile happens, it seems like a filler. Boast Busters has a lot of flaws. It feels a bit empty, and I thought Trixie was a poor character. I hated her in seconds. Snips and Snails were also poor, and Twilight Sparkle kind of annoyed me with her naivety (she's socially awkward, but she's intelligent enough to realize that the Ursa needed to be gone, and that impressive magic was required to do so.) If it was Rainbow Dash, and Trixie were a Pegasus, she'd have settled the matter in ten seconds flat, and managed to create something awesome at the same time. I am actually rather fond of Feeling Pinkie Keen. Let's face it, whether or not Pinkie Pie makes any sense, or is supposed to, she's hilarious. And Twilight Sparkle is, as a consequence, equally hilarious when they're together. The episode features both characters at their best.

Twilight And Fluttershy Have Aspergers?
Redthir replied to Caesar2013's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Firstly, I have Asperger's Syndrome myself, and I identify most closely with Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash of the mane cast, much moreso than Fluttershy or Twilight Sparkle. I don't really see any Asperger's Syndrome in Fluttershy. She actually seems to have a pretty good grasp of socialising, just that she's naturally shy. I'd say her shyness is related more to her natural temperament than anything else. Twilight Sparkle having Asperger's Syndrome seems far more plausible to me. She always does seem a little computerised in her way of thinking (especially in The Crystal Empire regarding the test), and I'd say the vast majority of people with Asperger's think in this way to some degree (I certainly used to.) As well as this, Twilight Sparkle often seems to have her brain within her thoughts (namely Feeling Pinkie Keen, when she's not watching where she's going and falls into a trench.) Pinkie Pie seems much more Asperger's to me than Fluttershy. Not all people with Asperger's Syndrome are introverted. Pinkie Pie is the type who uses her quirks (and a lot of those she has) to her advantage, to turn into an incredibly charismatic individual who everyone loves. It doesn't take long at all to realize that Pinkie Pie, despite being a genius acts like a total idiot (It was under e, anyone?). She seems to either be genuinely oblivious to normality, or pretends it doesn't exist.- 119 replies

There's a great one called What Mommies Do by SanityLost, which is all about Rainbow Dash's supposed fillyhood, and about all the things she does that make her mother mad. Another great Dash fic is Rainbow Dash: Alpha Mare - it's comedy gold. There is a sex scene in it though. Two interesting fics involving the writer's OCs are Cerulean - Tears in the Snow (OC Cerulean shipped with Twilight Sparkle), and The Risks of Braving a Storm (OC Storm shipped with Rainbow Dash). I believe others have been written in the series, which I've yet to read. Cerulean and Storm are both great characters, especially Cerulean.

I thought this episode was great. Twilight Sparkle trying desperately not to panic, Rarity being Rarity and Pinkie Pie being even more hyperactive than normal. Rainbow Dash stole this episode for me though. Her constant suspicions in trying to figure out the gamemaster's motives, as well as her intense levels of excitement brought a great deal of humour. Also, did anyone notice how Fluttershy was airborne unusually often in this one?

The Mane 6 and their nationalities
Redthir replied to The Soldier's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I agree entirely on this. Applejack - if I recall correctly I read that her accent is meant to be a Tennessee accent, where apparently a lot of apples are grown. Rainbow Dash - I reckon she'd be a fiery Mediterranean, but most likely Greek. Quite possibly even of Spartan descent. Fluttershy - Somewhere in Eastern Europe, I reckon. People from Eastern Europe seem to be very introverted, and they're often pale skinned, which suits Fluttershy to a tee. Rarity - Italian, I reckon (another fiery Mediterranean). Their culture is perhaps the most romantic I can think of, and whilst she's not as fiery as Rainbow Dash, she's anything but submissive. Pinkie Pie - Dunno. Personally, I reckon she's been through a previous MLP generation, who somehow developed special powers to move generation. Putting that aside - Scottish? A load of barbarians from the other side of Hadrian's wall? That may work. -

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20001222b Neutral A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. She doesn’t feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most neutrality is a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil. After all, she would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, she’s not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. The common phrase for neutral is "true neutral." Neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion.

There's a test you can take on the D&D website to find out what your alignment is - I got True Neutral. And I guess that somewhat describes me - I believe firmly in balancing out 2 extremes, and I think (don't quote me on this one), I'm generally well meaning but only when I want to be.
