If we're able to hold this as truth in the RP, my unicorn OC may nerd out on you, Nomadic.

Just a warning, I would like all of you to remember Chocolate Wish. She's important.

@, Star Rain groaned and face hoofed herself in exasperation. "I just said that there aren't very many ponies over there. According to North Shine, there are only ten ponies there and we're a group of fifteen. Besides, North explored the city before hoof just to get the layout and already established our base of operations, so she'll help us avoid them. And if that doesn't work, we have Kanon," she explained in the same tone after calming herself. "And the scroll may be gone somewhere, but it's MAGIC! Magic stuff seem to last a long time!" North said in a loud voice. To answer Myopia, Kanon explained,"According to Star-chan's research and my translations, they have a connection of some kind to the scroll, but we are not sure what it means or if they're even there anymore. However, they were apparently part of the reason why the sages allowed so few to enter the scroll's shrine, along with the fact that any pony could use it to wish for destruction, among other things."

@@AnonBrony,@@Tricksters Pride,@@Windbreaker,@, @@Nomadic,@, To Thunder King, Chocolate Wish shook her head "no", silently cursing to herself. It would've made it so much easier... Star Rain settled the weapons down next to her along with her "staff" and her saddlebags. North Shine and Kanon(who bowed to Star, who bowed back, both gestures as a sign of respect) sat on either side of her as she levitated four scrolls and an old, weathered book titled Equestrian Lore From the North and Beyond. "Now, I'll start by saying that the details included in our letter was only a generalized version of what we'll explain right now. Especially the combat part," she said in a serious tone with an equally serious face. North Shine and Kanon, who were previously smiling to welcome the volunteers, now had serious looks on their faces as well. "If you're wondering why there's a naginata and wing blades here, the high chance of combat is why. There are others after the scroll, but not very many considering it lays past Equestria's northern border and has no trains leading to it. The ones who ARE there though are desperate; desperate enough to take along weapons and turn them onto any pony who enters. There are even some who use destructive spells. "According to the information I gathered and the text Kanon translated, there are also "spirits of desire" as they're called who guard the scroll. We'll get into them later when I tell you a passage from the book here," Star said, pausing to let this new bit of information sink in.

@@AnonBrony, "That much I had figured out." Dorado's crossbow, North's wing blades, and Kanon's naginata all glowed indigo and disappeared from their hooves. North and Kanon, knowing of only one unicorn who's magic glowed that color, turned toward Star Rain(who was still standing with the two stallions) and they saw their weapons levitating next to her enveloped in her aura. "I agree that we shouldn't stay here much longer, but weapons are not to be played with for fun. It is not very chivalrous to be using a mare, or any pony for that matter, as target practice, even if it isn't loaded," Star said, calmly scolding all three of them. North tried to take back her weapon from her, but Kanon stopped her and took in her words. "Besides, we have some things to explain." @@AnonBrony,@@Tricksters Pride,@@Windbreaker,@, @@Nomadic,@, The unicorn mare, still levitating their weapons, unhooded herself and said to everypony(without making eye contact),"My name is Star Rain. Shall we start explaining our mission?"

@@Nomadic, They knew what to suspect, but Star Rain decided to put her trust in Kanon's ability to manipulate others.

@@AnonBrony,@@Tricksters Pride,@@Windbreaker,@, @@Nomadic,@, North Shine seemed overjoyed at the mare's arrival, and startled at the same time. "Star Rain! When did you get here?!" she exclaimed. Star only gave a small smile and a light laugh at her friend's excitement, as if amused by it(It's always amusing whenever she surprises ponies just by being "invisible" so to speak). She then heard the unicorn stallion try to say something to her, but it was quickly drowned out by the boisterous Dorado. "North, I am very sorry I left you and Kanon alone here," she said in an exasperated voice. He has good looks, I'll give him that. The two mares then gasped when they saw the weapon being pointed at Kanon. Star tried to say something, but North was faster and so was Kanon. In a flash, North's wing blades and the unsheathed blade of Kanon's naginata were at Dorado's throat and barely touching. "How true karma is," Kanon commented dryly, mostly to herself. (OOC: I'm only communicating with Dorado, but I imagine that all of you would see the two leaders pointing blades at him.)

@@Nomadic, Seeing how Kanon was busy with the others, North Shine nodded and sat across from Monkshood. She then proceeded to ask,"So I'm just curious. How come you're here? Do you have a wish or something?" She kept on an energetic smile as she started the conversation. @,@@Windbreaker, (OOC: My my, your OCs and Dorado will get along just fine, won't you? XD) Kanon gave a light laugh as her response to Myopia's question. "Oh I'm used to it. I've done it many times and it helps that I specialize in diplomacy most of the time," she said, failing to stop herself from bragging a little. She then turned toward Kinetic and accepted the sweet with an,"Arigato!" and a bow. She didn't notice the last stallion who had walked in. To Thunder, the coffee mare simply said,"Chocolate Wish" while covering up what appeared to be a star tattoo on her collarbone. @@AnonBrony, As the one with the sharp eye however, North Shine waved to him and offered him a seat. "Hello there! I'm North Shine, one of the leaders on this mission! You're here for the mission, right?" she asked, pulling a chair over for him. @, @@AnonBrony, @@Tricksters Pride, @@Nomadic,@@Windbreaker, @, (OOC: Alright! Now that every pony's here, I'm bringing in the third leader now!) A unicorn mare stepped into the shop very quietly, though not on purpose. It was just part of her nature to be invisible. She wore a blue cloak that shadowed her face and she carried saddlebags of her own supplies, books, art supplies, sketchpad, and maps. There was also what appeared to be a staff on her back, except the end was strangely indigo and metallic. She spotted North Shine conversing with two other stallions, one of which also had a staff(which she could see was a magical one unlike her own). She had to make sure they were with them, so she walked up to them and said in a rather aloof tone(which is quite a change from the warm greetings given by Kanon and North),"North Shine, are these two with us?"

@@Windbreaker,@@Tricksters Pride, Kanon noticed the look in his eyes and struggled to remain calm and composed. "Hai, arigato gozaimasu," she said without correcting herself. "Please acquaint yourself with the other volunteers, as well as North Shine," she said warmly and flatly. She decided to sit herself down next to Myopia. @@Nomadic, While waiting for an answer, North's eyes had been flickering over to Kanon and the volunteers. She began to take Star's warning to heart and made a mental note on who to trust and who to keep an eye on. Just like Kanon, she felt the watchful gaze of the mare who had arrived with the one who claimed to be a lord. Her shivering was visible to all.

@@Windbreaker,@@Tricksters Pride, "What would a lord such as yourself be doing here?" Kanon wondered out loud. "And it is a generous offer, but we never asked for funding of any kind." And I was the one who provided it. It was best, North Shine said, to keep her wealth a secret. According to her, she met many ponies who showed their wealth to the public in all its glory. It never ended well for them, she said.

@@AnonBrony, "Such as myself"… hai, Star-chan's guess was right. Star Rain told her and North Shine to expect ponies out for nothing fame and fortune, but they suspected that it was just her cynicism speaking. I should play my cards carefully. "The letter was sent out by chain mail, so any pony could've come. If you want to get to know my other companion, North-chan is over there," she said, pointing to her friend who was chatting up the lone stallion. "Just a warning, she's a little feisty and she can cut. Just saying, Dorado-san," she said with a wink and a grin. I'd hate to get North-chan involved with him, but I've got to deal with every pony else. She may be a little lacking in social skills, but she has street-smarts. @@Windbreaker,@@Tricksters Pride, At that moment, Kanon heard the arrogant voice of the stallion who had entered and felt the watchful eye of the mare who came with him. What a duo. I'd better get them settled down before North-chan decides to try anything. She trotted over to them and gave the mare a nervous smile. "You may be looking for me and the light blue pegasus. I'm Kanon and she is North Shine. Star-chan is running a little late for the meeting," she said. Her accent-riddled tone was usually prim and proper and wasn't much different now, but there was a drop of poison in her voice.

@, I predict that she will despise North and Kanon and get along ok with Star Rain(who isn't real social herself).

@, Just be careful! My OCs have blades! XD By the way, the shock is genuine but she thought it would be fun to flirt back.

@@AnonBrony,@@Nomadic, As North Shine was about to reply, she was startled by the grand entrance the next volunteer made and her bladed wings almost flared open. She saw the hoof-kissing scene and thought Great, now we have two Kanons. And one of them is male! Esponish it seems like. She had met many Esponish folk on her travels and none of them were this flashy and flirty. She turned her attention back to the stallion and asked,"So yeah… uh, how come you aren't sitting with us? My friends aren't the most observant of ponies and they might leave you behind!" When the hoof-kissing happened, Kanon was utterly shocked. It took a minute to compose herself and go about with her usual greeting. "My name is Kanon, anata Ariwara no Narihira," she said, bowing and flirting back at him. (OOC: Kanon's last line translates into "you Casanova", Ariwara being Japan's equivalent of Casanova. Also, anata may translate into "you", but it's not a polite thing to say to a Japanese person(or to a person who understands the language to some extent.)

Speaking of that, I'm going to try and input some Japanese when playing as Kanon. Unfortunately, my Japanese isn't all that good and it may come out a little rusty.

@,@@Nomadic, North Shine overheard Myopia call her friend "The lovely Lady Kanon" and snickered, which quickly turned into outright laughter. "Geez Kanon! Worked your magic already?!" she laughed, hovering in the air for a moment, which revealed the blades on her wings for a moment. Kanon naturally didn't take too kindly to that. "Well it is not like I did it on purpose, North-chan!" she yelled. Che' her and her fruit bat hearing! She then remembered the fruit juice she had bought for her. "Oh by the way North-chan, I got you some fruit juice!" If this were anime though, there would be a large sweat drop at her head, because North Shine had gone back to pestering the stallion who was sitting alone. To Thunder, the coffee mare said,"I don't know about those three. The unicorn seemed a little cold and aloof when I saw her and the earth pony looked a little strange. She even had this weird accent like she had never learned to speak properly!"

@@Windbreaker, "I'm Kanon, thanks for coming," she greeted the stallion with a smile, along with her bow. "My two friends will be arriving shortly, but please take a seat. I won't be starting without them." She moved her supplies and long stick away from the table, but she pushed her friends' drinks together so that they don't get mixed up with somepony else's. @,@@Windbreaker, The coffee mare nodded and began to make Thunder's coffee. While doing so, she casually asked,"Are you one of the 'volunteers' that unicorn and earth pony mare mentioned when they came over a couple days ago?" Kanon turned to Myopia and Kinetic and in an encouraging voice, said,"You should start at least getting to know each other and the others when they arrive, along with my two friends. Just a warning though, Star Rain is going to be a biiiit tougher to get to know. Just saying!" She gave a laugh at that last statement. @, Kanon turned to the next arrival and a brief look of surprise flickered on her face for a split second. Except for photos from North Shine's travels to the Crystal Empire, she had never seen a Crystal Pony before. However, her surprise was replaced by unseen fear. She felt somewhat threatened by her and way she carried herself. Nonetheless, she put her smile on and introduced herself. "My name is Kanon, pleased to meet you," she said with the same friendly tone. @@Windbreaker,@@, Everypony seems to be ignoring the other part of the letter. And why are there ponies like Myopia here? Didn't Star say that there would be traveling and possibly even combat along the way in our letter? At that moment, the light blue pegasus she knew all too well came in. "Ah! It looks like North Shine is here!", she said to everypony. North took a few flying leaps forward and bowed to Kanon, who bowed back. "Konnichiwa, Kanon!" she teased in greeting, setting a large bag of supplies down along with a small pull string bag that made a metallic sound. Her wings also had a strange, steel edge to them that seemed very sharp. @@Nomadic, "Is Star Rain alright?" Kanon asked North. "Yeah, just being slow as usual," North said impatiently. Her sharp eye then picked out the lone stallion. She immediately trotted over to him and was careful not to open her wings up next to him. "Hey, are you here for the mission?"

@@Nomadic, What makes you think that(FIW, I know you're being sarcastic)?

@, "They will be joining us, but they still have things to prepare. Knowing those two, North-chan will be here before Star-chan," Kanon said with a laugh, forgetting to drop the honorifics. Her ears twitched at the sound of the door opening again and she tightened her scarf, which revealed a little bit of her family's crest for a split second. "Oh, here comes some more," she exclaimed cheerfully. @@Windbreaker, "You may be looking for me," she said, raising her voice to make herself heard. She didn't notice the third stallion who had also walked in. @@Windbreaker, @@Tricksters Pride, A light blue pegasus flew by the carriage, almost as if in a hurry. That Star, being slow 'n all! How come she just can't teleport?!

@, I know, right? Kanon still has her connections, influence, and (very small portion of) the wealth she will inherit when her parents pass away. But yes, she loved the words of other languages more than heading her family's business. It shocked Neighpon's upper class when she did what she did.

You're all meeting her. The other two will be arriving separately, starting with North Shine.
