Thank goodness I'm not in Australia. It's way to hot to wear a scarf there right now.

Fresh Meat is actually female. She just says she's male to prevent fellow forum members from hitting on her.

No way anything can go wrong with this game, right?

I have to cast my vote for Dragonshy. I found it to be a more entertaining episode overall.
I give them credit for the Winter Wrap up musical number. It was a surprisingly big production for a mid-season episode. But it wasn't Disney style musicals that made me fall in love with MFP:FiM.

I'm one of the oldest members, but I've already found out I'm not the oldest. Part of me wanted to hold that title, but another part of me didn't.

Usually when haters attempt brony character assassination, they use the most unflattering images possible: All boys or men who are very thin, very overweight, or who have a "gaydar" appearance about them. I was surprised at the diversity of people shown as bronies in this slideshow: Girls and normal looking, even "manly" looking, dudes.
I honestly can't tell if this video is meant to put bronies down or show that they're regular, everyday young people.

LOL, there is too much fanart for male bronies. Nice to see that someone is making some eye candy for the ladies in the fandom.

As someone who missed the golden age of the Powerpuff Girls, I can assure you the golden days of the MLP fandom are still going strong and probably hasn't even peaked yet.

I actually quite liked this episode. However, the main problem I had with this is I thought the whole 'Applejack getting her leg stuck in the rocks' thing was ridiculous. If Spike, a baby dragon, could make a tower of rocks, then how come Applejack couldn't get her hoof out of a few of them?
Exactly! How could a few relatively small rocks trap a pony as strong as AJ anyway? Ponies pull carts and carry boulders that weigh tons for Pete's sake! It was more convincing when Rainbow Dash was trapped in May the Best Pet win. Her wing was pinned, possibly broken, and she was stuck in an awkward position where lifting the rock would've been painful or impossible.
I'm trying to come up with a rationale for why Spike all of a sudden wants to honor this Dragon Code. Did he just learn of it recently by reading about it in the library or elsewhere? But if that's the case, he would owe a life debt to several ponies. It would be impossible for one dragon to go back and be a slave to every one of them. Maybe he just decided that the next one who saved his neck would get the privilege of his services.

I remember Granny Smith saying that the Apple Family Reunion happens every 100 moons, and I have 2 questions to ask here.
What is our time equilent of 100 pony moons?
Wasen't there an Apple Family Reunion going on in Season One,episode one?
A moon is a lunar month or a lunar cycle, roughly 29.5 days. 100 moons would be about 8.1 earth years.
There is nothing in the program to say that if an Equestrian lunar cycle is the same length as earth's or a different amount of time.
In episode 1 itself, I believe the Apple Family gathering was not a reunion but done to prepare for the sun celebration. However, in a subsequent episode, Applejack does refer back to this event as a family reunion. My own opinion: AJ made a minor mental slip by calling the sun celebration meetup a reunion.

Actually we have seen a very old pegasus, if you go to the weather factory scene in Sonic Rainboom then you can see one compliment Rarity's wings, she looks like she could be as old as Granny Smith.
Hurray, it's a relief to see they can live to a ripe old age after all.
I'm still curious to know where the idea of a shortened life span originated...probably some speculation in a blog at Equestria Daily or something.

It was a fun episode but I have one little nitpick with the Dragon Code premise.
What about all the other times someone saved Spike's life? He was saved from falling once in Secret of My Excess by Fluttershy or RD and again at the end of Crystal Empire by Princess Cadance. I'm pretty sure he was saved other times too.

Good oral hygiene isn't just good for humans. It's also good for ponies.
But in this little video, Colgate learns there's a right way and a wrong way to teach the importance of brushing and flossing. Enjoy!

I'm gonna tell you a secret. But you have to promise not to tell anyone.
You'll have to Pinkie Pie swear!
Good.

WTF? My vote goes for Sleepless in Ponyville, obviously. This is clearly a much more important if not all around superior episode.
This is my first time voting in this. I could've voted in the last one too which pitted Hurricane Fluttershy against another episode. That was so lopsided I forgot what the other choice was.
Was everything in the first round a mismatch or just these last two? <_<

That was probably just a coincidence. The writers are not allowed to read fanfics, but if they were, they would probably only have time to read a few. This is not the most popular fic out there (but it is one of my favorites) so it's not very likely that they would ever stumble on this.Eh heh heh, I should have proably rephrased myself there.
What I meant was, that there have been things that might have appeared as if they were taken from the fandom. But I do know that the writers are forbidden from reading fanfics and such. Doesn't mean the rest though. Otherwise, Tabitha St. Germain, the VA for Rarity, Luna, Granny Smith and more wouldn't have bought a copy of the books of Fallout: Equestria.
Those are both good points. Animation artists and VAs are just carrying out orders written by someone else so it doesn't matter if they read fanfics. But if I was directly involved in writing for a major TV program, a canon creator so to speak, I know I wouldn't want my idea process to be corrupted by fan made works. If I was Jim Wooten, Meghan, or any of the regular writers, I wouldn't need instructions to stay away from fanfics. I'd abstain voluntarily.
But how can a no read mandate be enforced? Are the writers expected to simply honor this rule? And if they break it, how would they get caught unless something obvious made its way into a draft script? I have no clue whether it is tempting for some writers to peek at fanfics or not.

I doubt they will ever make it possible in any way to tell age. And you know why? Pokemon, that's why. Yes, that's right, Pokemon! Remember Ash? He was ten when he started his journey....which was around 15 years ago. He's still ten and people are frustrated. Hasbro didn't want to do that.
The CMCs have shown more signs of growth in 3 seasons than Ash has in 15. But the Simpsons take the cake when it comes to defying age.

As mentioned elsewhere, the script for Magic Duel was written a long time ago. The decision to actually call Trixie's magic item the alicorn amulet may have been made at a later date, possibly when the voice recording took place. This raises two questions:
1. If not the alicorn amulet, what was magic object with a winged unicorn going to be called?
2. Who invented the word alicorn in the first place? It's not a common word and it's not found in my dictionary or at etymology online. But as Flutterbass pointed out, it wasn't invented by bronies. I've seen it before MLP:FiM came into existence as a word for a mythological unicorn with wings. A google search brought up this at tvtropes.org: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WingedUnicorn
“Also known as a pegicorn, unipeg, or cerapter*. Occasionally winged unicorns are referred to as alicorns, which is a portmanteau of the French words for wing (aile) and horn (corne). Note that in French, the word for unicorn is also licorne. However, be careful with this usage because the word alicorn also refers to the horn of a unicorn itself, a li translating to "secured" (so a li corne meaning "secured horn").”
It still strikes me as odd that they waited until Magic Duel to use the word alicorn instead of clumsy terms like pegasus unicorn or whatever. To finally say alicorn may be a desire for simplicity, a nod to a fandom that's been using it a long time, or a little of both.

well there animated Ponys, the average horse has a life expectancy of 30 years, but there likely to be written into the show having human like lifespans ..... but there cartoon so there all immortal
Ponies are not immortal. Watch A Perfect Stallion where Sweetie Belle crashes a funeral. My personal theory...the decedent wanted it that way.

I've always loved the smell of coffee, ever since I was a little kid. Starting at 11, I think, I began drinking coffee. I dumped loads of cream and sugar into it to make it taste almost as good as it smelled. Over the years, the taste became more acquired and I use a lot less cream and sugar now.
If anypony wants to give me a present for Christmas or my birthday, a Starbucks gift card is always welcome.
