I just put a ASUS Xonar Essence sound card in my computer and the quality is actually better. A lot better. I honestly did not think a sound card would help...

  Oops, meant to say "good ear for music". I've got the Logitech X-230 which I've had for quite a while now but I'm yet to get a sound card. I haven't really needed one until recently and haven't had enough money to get a decent one.

  I used to have the X-230, it really is crap (sorry to say) compared to better speakers, pre-packaged or otherwise.
  
  I don't think a better output would help with those speakers.

  Compared to your ones I could understand that. Now that I have some money saved aside I can look to getting better speakers when I get a sound card. Is there a card that you would recommend and would you also recommend the Z906?
