Mirror Image

Concerto Dusk
  • , No, Not Cast (young stallion)

He is average in height. He has a silver coat and black hair. His mane is always under his purple fedora and kept fairly neat. His tail, is very disheveled. He has a small goatee and large purple eyes.

male Unicorn His cutie mark is a pair of carousel ponies standing back to back with a mirror between them.

Earned because his illusion magic is specialized in making an exact copy of something he has seen well enough to make the image in his head.

He is usually shy when he meets a new pony. He can open up to them very quickly however, as long as he feels a strong connection. On stage, he is a very lively and charismatic individual. He can be boastful when on stage to win his audience over, but he doesn't really think of himself as anything special.

Likes: He hates ponies who abandon others. He does not like braggarts or liars. He doesn't like his past and what he has done.

As a colt he was bullied because his family was very poor and he wasnt very good with magic either. After being bullied one too many times he stole one of his tormentors prized possesions, an heirloom from the ponies family. He then sold it and gave the money to his family. From there, he became quite the thief. He would steal anything of value, no matter the risk. Eventually, he started taking jobs from other ponies. These jobs included thievery, as well as simple errands. It was on one such job he earned his cutie mark.

He eventually learned that he couldnt keep stealing and even though he was very intelligent he still didnt have a cutie mark at the point of entering adolescence, nor did he have hope for college once he finished his education. So, he started doing odd jobs for cash. The jobs would be anything from a mundane chore such as mowing a lawn, to big targets to steal from. On one such job he earned his cutie mark, just a few years after starting his list of jobs. The pair of carousel ponies facing away from each other helped him fix his life. After showing off his skill one time in public he was offered a job as a stage performer. As he never finished school, he took the job so he could help his family. He hopes to be able to get his education and make his parents proud. He has since quit stealing, but yearns for a vacation and a college education, so he can hopefully move up in the world and maybe finally find that special somepony?

He now is a fairly well off preformer, sending most of his pay to his family. He travels all over Equestria when his boss tells him,or if he is hired for a special event. He frequents Canterlot and the Crystals Empire. He looks up to Trixie Lulamoon and Twilight Sparkle. They are both powerful unicorns that he strives to match. He is finally coming out of his shell now, and looks forward to meet any new ponies.

Ponyville: He is a stage performer skilled in illusion magic. He is often found performing or seeking out new friends and show material.

Canterlot: He is traveling around on a show tour or vacation. If a tour, he will be preparing for his shows and may be looking for somepony to talk to. If on vacation, he would rather avoid any kind of show as he is trying to relax.

Crystal Empire: The same as in Canterlot, except he will be marveled by the crystals beauty. he will always be looking for new source material.

His spells include: Illusion magic, self levitation, a spell to check surroundings. (Sense if anyone is around, awake or asleep, basic info of area. He cannot tell exactly who is there but things like race he can.)

Hello there Tyranosuarus.

I have read over Mirror Image, and there are some things that would need fixed to make him Equestrian Empire acceptable.

  • All Oc's must have an appearance uploaded. There are plenty of pony creator apps that would be able to help you with this.
  • Second, we do not know how long ponies live in Equestria. Please remove any references to a physical age and just use the appropriate adjectives for age.
  • As for backstory, saying he was proficient as a thief would be adequate. Also, you mention that he started taking jobs from other ponies. Are these thief jobs or just general ones.
  • Lastly, there are a few typos and spelling errors that would need fixed.

Make these changes and I or another staff will be willing to look him over once more.

Thanks,

Skycoaster~EQE Staff.

  • In the first sentance, you make reference to him being a child, which is a human reference. It should either be foal or colt.
  • You still have references to his age within the backstory. As Skycoaster said above, references to age are fine, so long as it's an approximation.
  • In the end of the second paragraph of his backstory, you say he wishes for a vacation and education. Did you mean vocation?
  • In the third paragraph, the second sentence reads really wonky.
  • While this isn't required, I'd love to see a picture of his cutie mark, if you happen to have one.

Rules for the section, because it doesn't seem like it was linked before.

I do not have a picture of his cutie mark because I suck at drawing and I can't find a picture that first it. And I did mean vacation. And I forgot to fix that sentence. Sorry about that.

I suck at drawing as well, so I feel your pain. The description is enough. You still have exact ages within the backstory, noting things that happened at 12 and 14 years. Things like entering adolescence will describe a time well enough without needing to give a numeric timeline.

@,

Big bad Khajiit is moving it back to unapproved.

There's one last (I believe) thing you'd need to clarify and we'll be good to go I think.

On one such job he earned his cutie mark, just a few years after starting his list of jobs.

The cutie mark story. Every single adult pony absolutely must have a cutie mark present, before he reaches adolescence (filly/colt stage).

Taken straight from the rules:

Adult Ponies MUST have a cutie mark.

This will require some rewording/clarification on your side simply, I believe. Nothing major.

I guess it's the only thing standing out left.

Understood.

Took me a few dictionaries to actually fix my perceiving of this word, and it seems I had a wrong impression in terms of the meaning of said word.

In this case, since nothing changed and current version was already approved once, I'm moving the app instantly to approved.
