Silverhoof

Silverhoof
  • , No, Not Cast Young Stallion

White coat with a dark red mane. Hooves are polished black with the right front hoof appearing as polished silver.

Silverhooves run in the stallion side of his family. But that condition normally refers to a grayish hoof in a pony. In this case he was born with what appears to be a pure silver hoof. Our hero believes he is marked by magic to do great things...it may be all in his head, but that's what he thinks.

He will pretty much always wear saddlebags.

When he travels he keeps his gear in a large waterproof trunk, big enough for his armor as well. He can walk for miles levitating that trunk above his head. His mother made him a fancy Baldric he can wear into battle, but he mostly wears it when formal attire is required.

Commissioned some decent art. just need to be patient. Really didn't like the pony creator image.

male Unicorn a yellowed scroll, partially unrolled.

Silverhoof is searching for his destiny. He just doesn’t know where to look. So he intends to look everywhere. He makes a living with his spells, and has a business first outlook on life. Once the job is done, he can relax.

Working in his father’s shop has made him open and easy going with all sorts of ponies. He can get along with anyone. He is fascinated with magic and is looking for new spells. He can watch unicorns cast unusual spells all day.

With the mares, he can be quite the romantic. Traveling as he does, Silverhoof prefers not to start something he can't finish.

Likes: winters. being helpless. Bugs. <br />

Silverhoof comes from a long line of merchant ponies. His family has been in Canterlot since its founding. His great grandfather Thaddeus, developed the “New You” spell (below), and his family has been living off vain socialites ever since.

Young Silverhoof easily mastered the spell and earned his cutie mark working with his father. The young unicorn has a way with customers and is good at keeping the books. Life was looking easy for the young unicorn, but life turned upside down after the Changeling invasion. It shocked Silverhoof to his core. A world existed outside of Canterlot, a dangerous world he has never bothered to know. Somehow a safe mercantile life just wasn’t enough.

Being caught in an invasion was bad enough, but he was utterly unable to defend the ponies he loved, or even fight back. Silverhoof watched helplessly as Changelings fed off his family. This had to change.

In an old bookstore, he discovered an ancient academy primer for the unicorn Royal Guard. The spells therein were no longer taught; the modern academy had better spells. Still these were just what the young unicorn needed.

He took classes to improve his Telekinesis. He can now lift twice his weight with some effort, and manipulate three things at once. In the wilds at the foot of Canterlot Mountain, he practiced endlessly with his spells. He is a crack shot with his Celestian Bolt Spell.

Silverhoof is not sure just what he is looking for. He doesn’t want to find trouble, but neither will he stand by helpless while others suffer. He does not consider himself a knight errant. He is more on a quest to find his destiny, to learn why he is here.

Kissing his parents goodbye, He has set off to explore Equestria.

The New You: This spell can change the color of anything, reverting back to its true colors one day later. If cast on a pony, it will reinvigorate the skin, cleanse the coat and mane, and refresh the recipient. It can make any color, even luminous colors. Silverhoof can make colored lights bright enough to read by. It has twice the range of of a longbow, and can cover an store front with a single spell. Duration: One day

    Celestian Bolt

A Celestian Bolt fires darts of pure sunlight. Against the living they can only stun. Against inanimate objects they can destroy. It makes a "Pew Pew" sound as it fires.

Since this is a damaging spell, I will try to translate it into a numbers:

A normal pony takes two hits to go unconscious. He would have to hit a manticore four times for it to go down.

A lock will shatter with this spell. Heavier objects such as doors and walls need multiple hits.

    Teleport

    The classic and useful spell.

Just to point out, to our knowledge, there are no undead in Equestria. Twilight sort of makes reference to this in Bridal Gossip when they were looking for the cure for Poison Joke when Spike pulled out the book "Supernaturals". Keep that in mind when coming up with your backstory.

Everything here looks to be in order, though All of the actual numbers need to be removed. We don't know what units of measurement ponies actually use so they have to be left vague. And the 24 duration would also need to be changed to one day.

Also, the exact number of years in your back story needs to be removed as well, for the same reason that I listed above with measurements. We don't know life spans, or how long a year in Equestria actually is. It can be ancient or extremely old, but just can't have exact numbers.

Other than those few edits. Everything should be good.
