Appearance: <p> Maple Bat is a Yellow Vampire Fruit bat pony with two large fangs, a black flowing mane and a roughly groomed tail. She has a scar on the Right side of her face which she hides with her mane. </p> <p>   </p>

Personality: <p> She's very shy and nice kinda like her mom, Fluttershy, but she's also chaotic like her father, Discord.  </p> <p> She is a night guard, brave and works hard to ensure the safety of equestria, she serves Luna as a retainer* and is a captain of a squadron of archers. </p> <p> And when She's off duty she's helping her mother with animals. She also still lives with her parents, Her room in fluttershy's cottage is located somewhere in the roof of the living room it's well hidden so people only find it if Maple shows them where it is. It's hidden so people wouldn't think Fluttershy is housing a demon. </p> <p> However she is very excitable, is too devoted to the night guard at times, has problems understanding sarcasm, can be a bit paranoid of messing up ,and when things tend to go wrong she blames herself even if its not her fault. </p> <p> She prefers to fly over walk but will walk if shes with a non-winged friend. </p> <p> Maple has her father's magic deep within her and she knows it's there as she is immune to things that cause chaos like hypnotism or magical personality changes so She studies magic at Celestia's school for gifted unicorns in hopes that she can find a way to use Discord's magic constructively but she doesn't have a horn so she can't as far as she knows. </p> <p> She works really hard to be a good roll model for her younger brother <u><a href="<___base_url___>/roleplay-characters/woodland-orchestra-r9972/" rel="">Woody</a></u> and he gives her the will to keep going, to be strong, To protect Equestria. Sometimes when He challenges her she lets him win in order to boost his confidence. </p> <p> She Loves apples and prefers them raw but she wont shy away from any baked goods with apples in them. She also likes anything sweet, nice ponies, and anyone who doesn't judge her based on her looks. </p> <p> She hates people who are selfish and rude. She really hates the changelings and how they steal other peoples love. </p>

Backstory: <p> When Maple was born a Vampire fruit bat pony the doctors where confused but looking at the parents (Fluttershy(Bat) and Discord) it makes sense. </p> <p> When she was growing up she was ridiculed in school because she was a bat that went to school during the day this ridicule however did not lead to bad behavior from her she managed to bottle up her feelings. With no real negative consequence. </p> <p> When she was 10, Discord and the main 6 where still her only friends, and she felt like for Fluttershy's sake they had to be, so eventually she ran away and hid in the castle of the 2 sisters... The only place in equestria that was fully abandoned. She set up almost a home there she had a makeshift bed and she protected herself with a bow she had found in the castle which earned her the cutie mark she now proudly bears on her flank. </p> <p> About a month later while Maple was asleep Luna showed up during one of her nightmares and offered to help her, so she came back home, When she arrived back in ponyville the mane 6 told her how worried they where and how much each of them missed her. A few other ponies had come to meet her as well because they knew she needed friendship and trust. When she saw her parents again she was met with a warm but tearful embrace. The whole event really took away the bad feeling she had and any self doubt she had left in her. </p> <p> Later on Maple joined the royal night guard to be more accurate the Archery squadron of the royal night guard and rose the ranks quickly after a intense battle with the Tantabus that had shown up once again in Luna's dream which is when she got her scar. How she got it from the dream is unknown. </p> <p> After this incident Maple proved she had underlying magical potential and Luna gave her a letter allowing her to attend Celestia's school for gifted unicorns. When she arrived She was mocked for not being a unicorn and she had to be careful not to get expelled this was her only chance she would be presented. Thankfully a Stallion showed up to help her get rid of the bullies which eventually grew to a strong friendship between the two. </p> <p> When Maple first showed up at the castle Celestia didn't like Maple, She wanted to be with discord but he chose fluttershy, So that lead to her being bitterness towards Maple but after moving up the ranks Maple became less inclined to listen to Celestia, playing jokes on her from time to time and referring to her as 'Tia as her dad does which lead to more bitterness. </p> <p> A few months after Maple had become a captain of the night guard Queen Chrysalis had sent changelings to capture her parents in order to take advantage of her position but Maple was there and ready to defend them she had to defeat changelings several times before they stopped trying this kidnapping which made her hate changelings especially their queen. </p> <p> A few nights after the attacks stopped Luna sent Maple a letter saying she need to talk with her. When she arrived Luna presented her with a special weapon for her bravery of standing up to the changelings without asking Her parents, The guard or even the royal sister for help. The weapon is known as the "Heart's Eclipse" a purple and blue colored crescent-shaped bow strung with a white-colored magic bowstring so when Maple pulls it back an arrow will form itself where it needs to be and as she aims it at a pony it will look into their heart and the string will change colors based on their intentions Blue for good and Red for bad. Luna gave it to Maple because she knew she needed it for her fight against the changelings. </p> <p> After meeting Stickman Gunderson.  He saw her heroic deeds with Maple saving people here and there, and so he told her to join the USF to fight for what's right. She accepted.  After joining she was at his beck and call if she was needed anywhere in the cartoon universe.
