Cutie Mark: <p> Tempest's cutie mark is that of a shield with a pair of crossed swords beneath. The young pony got it when he was around the age of 15. Tempest had been walking home from school when he had noticed a pony around his age picking on a filly. Since there was no one around, Tempest intervened and told the colt's parents and took the filly home. A few hours later, Tempest had noticed that he had a cutie mark. After doing a bit of research, Tempest discovered that the shield meant protection and the swords meant strenth. </p>

Personality: <p> Tempest is like a raging storm. He never backs down and he is very strategic. Whenever he is around friends, he goes out of his way to protect them. He would never think of betraying the ponies he cared for just to gain a higher position in life. That being said, he is stubborn and can sometimes overestimate himself. </p>

Backstory: <p> Tempest was born in the small town of Ponyville. He had two loving parents, named Storm Caller and Nightshade, and a slightly younger sister, named Aqua. At the age of five, Tempest began attending school and had learned numerous things over his life. Every night, he would leave his house, go to the edge of town and simply gaze at the moon and stars. When Luna returned, when he was ten, Tempest was astounded by her sheer beauty. Five years later, when he got his cutie mark, the young Pegasus vowed that he would train everyday so that he might one day be accepted into Luna's section of the royal guard.At the age of 20, Tempest literally fought for a position in the royal guard. After several grueling hours, when the results were released, Tempest was absolutely ecstatic. He had gotten into Luna's royal guard and had passed with flying colors. Years later, Tempest now holds one of the highest ranks in the royal guard. When he had the chance, and had saved enough money, Tempest purchased a house in Ponyville. The house itself was quite large, having three bedrooms, a study, a kitchen, a dining hall, and two bathrooms.One night, Tempest was walking through the Everfree forest when he came upon a small cave. Curious, the pony trotted inside, and found a strange pendant on what appeared to be an altar. When he put the pendant on, a strong surge of power rushed through his very being, and everything went black. As the young pony floated through his subconsciousness, a voice spoke out to him. The new being told him of the immense power the amulet he wore held, and would fight by his side so long as he was not corrupted by it. When the pegesus woke up, he noticed his body had went through several changes. His fur had changed from a light cyan to a dark grey with blood red stripes. His mane and tail were divided into black and white portions. As for his wings, they had changed to those of a bat. </p>
