private Lost in the everfree 1X1

Sapphire sighed as she looked down at her map, shaking her head. "This blasted map isnt getting me anywere!" She said as she threw it to the ground "Curse this bloody forest, No good things can come from it!"

She said as she fell down, she had already used up all of her food and water, and she was not feeling well after walking around for the whole day. She proped her back up to a tree and just sat there, staring up at the night sky

NightStrike sticked his head out of the leaves taking a look at the pony below him. He had been following her the whole day and was currently sitting in the same tree she was leaning against, most of the time ponies didn't really bother coming to his part of the Everfree. She must have been lost.

 

Actually he was quite surprised she didn't see him yet. He wasn't really actively trying to remain unseen. He rustled a few leaves in the hope of getting her attention.

Sapphire didnt want to look up, she knew it was one of those creepy wolfs that there were so many around here. She stood up, took a step forward just incase she had to run. She turned around, looking up at the tree, and saw the last thing she had been expecting

 

Standing there infront of her was a pony. She fainted right then and there

NightStrike almost fell out of the tree out of surprise. That pony just fainted right in the middle of the Everfree! "Doesn't she know that is the last place where you want to faint?"  He thought climbing down the tree towards her.

 

"Well I guess I better take her with me to my home, I can't leave her like this." And with those thoughts NightStrike lifted the pony on his back easily carrying her trough the forest. They approached a small wooden cabin which had been NightStrike his home for years now. He silently crept inside and softly laid her on the only bed in the cabin to rest out.

 

In the meanwhile NightStrike put a glass of water on the desk next to her for if she woke up and started on cooking his meal for the day. It was getting late, and he was hungry. He made sure he made some more than usual, for his unusual guest.

Sapphire woke up, blinking quickly. She sat up, stuned at what was around her. She seemed to be on a...bed? A bed? In the everfree?

      She looked around quickly, seeing the pony who must have been the one in the tree, and what must have been his house that she was in right now "Uh...Thanks for bringing me in" She said shyle, Not sure if he was nice or just going to stab her

"Well I could hardly left you there now could I? You would sure have been attacked by one of the forest's many dangers." NightStrike replied warmly. He trotted towards her, "So how are you feeling? I have to say, I was surely surprised when you fainted just like that. Are you okay?"

 

He looked worried

Sapphire shivverd a little as she looked over at him, wondering how someone who looked so cold could be nice. She nodded "Yeah, Im fine, thanks" She said with a slight smile as she looked out the window. It seemed to be dark already, and she wondered how long she had been out

Strike's face lighted up hearing that. "Well good to hear you're doing fine then. As you might have noticed I have been cooking myself a nice vegetable soup. It's not much but you can always join in if you want to miss."

 

Then he gasped "Owh heck that was rude... I didn't even introduce myself, I'm NightStrike, pleasure to meet you.

Sapphire nodded as she hoped off the bed, falling flat on her face "Ye-yeah, food would be nice" She said with a laugh as she walked over, eating a few mouthfulls before looking up at night with a happy face "My name is sapphire, and thankyou for saving me" She said with a giggle

NightStrike involuntarily blushed for a second not knowing why. Just the way she looked made him feel.. different. "You're quite welcome really" He said hastily "I wouldn't have forgiven myself if I would have left you there all on your own."

 

He looked outside and bit his lip "It seems that it's already getting quite dark. You could go back to ponyville, I could even escort you there, but I strongly recommend not wandering the everfree at this time."

Sapphire looked down at the ground "Er...well...Thanks, But It would be kinda pointless" She said, getting back up, onto the bed and rolling into a little ball, a single tear droped from her eye "Then agen, You might as well kick me out, Theres no point in me staying here..."

"Pointless???" NightStrike shook his head in confusion. "I don't get it, you want to get back to Ponyville right?"

 

He sat down next to her unsure what to do. "I can assure you though, I won't kick you out. That would be horrible" he walked off and retured after a short while with two cups of tea. "You want some tea?"

 Sapphire nodded as she took a short sip. She sighed and shook her head "Nooo, I might as well just get eaten here, I have noplace to stay at ponieville. My house was burned down by a band of thugs sometime ago, Iv mostly been living in hotels, But I just ran out of bits..."

NightStrike eyes became bigger and bigger hearing all what she's been trough. "Nonononono you will not get eaten here, I can't allow that. You know what, I'm not having a missio... ehm work in quite some time, so I'll help you get some new bits. Does that sound like a great idea?"

 

He just hoped she would accept his offer. He couldn't bear seeing ponies sad like this.

Sapphire looked up at him with a slight smile "R-Really? You would help me" She jumped up, runing over and glompinghim. She then jumped back off and blushed "S-Sorry, That was fillyish of me" She smiled and sat back down,looking out the window and wondering how she had met someponie so nice

NightStrike smiled at her and chuckled unsure where that reaction came from "She musn't have met a lot of nice ponies I guess. It seems that she isn't used to this kind of hospitality"

 

He sat down next to her and looked outside the window himself a content look on his face "Awesome view there isn't it?"

Sapphire smiled and leaned into the wall. She then chuckled as she looked out the window with a broad smile on her face "Yeah, You must have payed a good sum of bits to build such a nice house" She said with a giggle as she looked around. She then yawned and looked up at the sky

NightStrike shook his head in confusion "Mmhm payed? Nope I haven't payed a single thing for it, I think this old hut when I found it belonged to some ponies living in the Everfree a long time ago, I restored it and decided to live in it." He smiled thinking back of that.

 

"You really don't want to know the state it was in when I found it"

Sapphire smiled "so its a old house?" She said with a giggle as she sat up "Sounds spooky" She said with a laugh as she glanced over at wayzer with a yawn "I guess Ill have to go back to poniville sometime..." She said as she looked out the window with a yawn, she smiled and looked over at wayzer with a slight blush

NightStrike looked worried for a second "We could get back to ponyville of course, problem is... it's getting quite dark. And even I try not to wander the Everfree when it's dark. We can still try of course, or you can stay here and sleep in my bed." He told her patting his hoof on the bed "I'll sleep somewhere there on the ground"

Sapphire smiled as she looked over at him, lying down "Thanks" she said with a giggle, then she yawned and looked up at the roof. She slowly closed her eyes and started to fall asleep, she sleept well and had a nice dream about getting her house back from some random pony

NightStrike tucked her in using his magic and proceeded to do his nightly patrol around the house before he went back inside and slept on the floor himself. It was less comfortable than the bed of course, but he didn't really mind.

 

"I must get her to ponyville tomorrow, still I'm kinda worried, she didn't sound to happy when she just came from there...." With those thoughts he drifted asleep

Sapphire woke up and yawned as she sat up in bed, forgeting where she was, she said "Good morning mom" before she rememberd were she was. She smiled and walked over to the window, looking out and wondering how she had gotten into this mess. She turned to look over at nightstrike

NightStrike had to keep himself from chuckling "Do I really look that feminine?" He asked her trying to keep a serious look on his face. "Anyways, I think you'll be wanting to go home today don't you?" He looked at her and there was just something he had to ask her "You know Sapphire, I just have to know... how is it back there for you in ponyville? The times I heard you talking about it you sounded pretty sad."

Sapphire sighed and looked down at her hoofes "Well....I dunno, ponyville seemed like such a nice place when I was growing up, but then I just kinda go shoved around by everypony,lost my house, and so on" She said as a tear fell out of her eye "It used to be so...so nice"
