You ALL have your complaints about this site.

Lots of you seem to have complaints about the moderating on this.

Some of you may even want to see all the staff get fired because you think they aren't doing their job.

Well I'm just going to say it could be allot worse.

It really could.

I've seen moderators on other sites that have seen NSFW content and didn't do jackshit about it.

I've seen moderators REALLY abuse their power by banning users for opposing some of the rules on the site.

I've seen ADMINISTRATORS post pictures that on this site would be considered NSFW content.

I've seen bad moderators and admins before.

 

Every user here should be fucking BLESSED to have the staff that we do.

My opinion is that you couldn't ask for a better selection of users to do there job.

I really don't think it could any better.

If you think that we have a bad staff, then you don't really know what bad moderation REALLY is.

Compared to other sites ive been on,id say the mods and admins are doing pretty darn well considering the size of this site.

People complain for the sake of complaining, you are right it could be worse. We would have the staff abusing their power, anarchy and chaos just seething out of this place, but we have order to at least it keep it in balance.

 

So yeah, the worse could happen but it won't here. Though if we do complain, it does at least show that we do want improvements.

People have a right to their opinion, they can "try" to fire the president all they want. They can shout from the mountains about how they hate his foreign policy and how they want him impeached.

 

And at the same time, while the staff on this forum is rather good, that doesn't mean you should negate all criticisms of them because you view them as good.

Everything could be worse. I don't see why we shouldn't adress issues just because some other small community does bad things. Also I don't think there is anything bad in NSFW material posted on other sites bacause those sites may be created for older folks.

Bad example, I think firing the president would probably be a good idea but on a slightly more on topic note yes it can indeed be much much worse and I have seen it when it has been worse. Nearly 10 I was a moderator on a site where some of the things mentioned in the OP were common practice, it was an NSFW site so the whole putting innapropriate material where it didn't belong wasn't really a factor in that case but a lot of other abusive practices were. It all happened after a change in ownership, moderators started to become appointed based on how much they kissed the new owners ass. Rules were arbitrarily enforced with some people practically getting away with murder while a few others arbitrary get the ban hammer thrown at them which caused me to resign and leave that site.

 

I am not saying I agree with every decision the staff has made and there is one of them that I am honestly not a big fan of who I won't name but I do know what it is like to do their job and know that this site despite its enormous size is actually one of the most civil and well maintained I have ever been on.

Thanks for the positivity, Emerald Starlight, but I want to clear something up. 

 

You're certainly free to offer your thoughts on the staff and site as a whole, especially if we can use those thoughts to improve. That's what the Feedback & Suggestions section is for, after all. Now, the problem is that this topic is rather vague. Discussion of drama encourages drama. Some members are wondering if any significant mod-related incident happened recently. The answer is no, there wasn't. 

 

Also, I want to take the opportunity to mention that the staff of MLP Forums are just as fallible as anyone else. We can make mistakes, too, and there are certainly things that can be improved. Be sure to tell us!
