(Twilight is doing princess duty, Applejack farm work, Pinkie meets up with relatives so forth) Rarity volunteers for the job and perhaps they can bond and see some things in common between themselves. We can see how they meet and how they've have hung out behind the scenes ya know? (Sorry I've never wrote a fanfic.) . From there you fill it all in with whatever you want, conflicts in design and personality. Dash wants cool, Rarity wants style of course, cool is too bad, style too impractical. Hell, ship, kill them, put em on a rocketship to outer space, write a lesbian thriller with them. Filthy Rich offers to pay for the damages, but Rarity instead convinces him to let his daughter work in the shop for a week to learn the value of actually making a positive difference ... much to Sweetie Belle's horror.
