long gone 8,929 June 29, 2014 Share June 29, 2014 (edited) Well, it's that time of the year again when our wallets can begin taking a breather for the next few months: the end of the Steam Summer Sale. Hopefully your wallet wasn't hit too hard during the sale. But anyway, that's not the point. That's not why we're here. I am here to bring you a game that I feel that, if you haven't played already, you absolutely should. And that game is... The Stanley Parable. "What the fuck is a Stanley Parable?", you ask. Dazed, confused, you stare at the thread before looking up what the game is. Well, dear reader, allow me to answer that question for you! The Stanley Parable is a game where you play as Stanley, and you don't play as Stanley. You also follow a story, and you don't follow a story. You have infinite choice, and then you have no choice. The game ends, but it never ends. Confused yet? Good. Basically, it's a commentary on storytelling in video games by telling a completely non-linear story that changes as you play the game, depending on your actions, and it's rather well-done. So, why am I giving this away, you ask? Because I'm a nice guy and, as I said, everyone should play this game. It's brilliantly done, has witty dialogue and you probably won't get bored of it, even after finding all the endings. Now then, what are the criteria for winning this game? You must actually want The Stanley Parable. As in, you plan on playing it, not leaving it in your Steam library to rot, dammit! You must be running Windows or OS X. Sorry, Linux! Enter in a random number between 1 and 100. Only one entry per person, and please don't spam up the thread. Oh, this is important. To receive the game when you win, you must add me on Steam so I can trade it over to you. Giveaway ends at 9:30PM Eastern time. Thanks, and have fun. long gone 8,929 June 30, 2014 Author Share June 30, 2014 (edited) After... negotiating a bit with it (as in, it kept giving me numbers that were not posted), Random.org has spoken! The winner is... @! Please contact me on Steam and I'll trade the game to you whenever it's most convenient for you. And for those of you wondering, I still have a few more spare copies of games on Steam, so I'll do more of these.
